Hey Jono, I just love watching you dive inside yourself and create. I still hesitate to do that myself, fear of reprisal. It's amazing what you accomplish with a dab of kneaded eraser here, a swoosh of another tool there. And it's all so organic, the beauty in shadows, releasing your depths onto the page, letting them breathe. It's impossible not to relate to them, to seek the hidden prizes. Well done, Jono. Very nice work. You make us see how a pencil drawing really has no limits. You have inspired me to go further, to go beyond what I've done before. It's funny because I worked so hard on my last painting---I made it all look like silver as sort of a challenge---but for the first time in my career as an artist I have burned out. I'm taking June, July and August off. Art is fantastic to do, but you can go too far. When I look around, I realize because I work all the time I have no friends, no social life, nothing but my work. It's time to get a life going because one's work cannot be everything. I know, I know; easy to say and hard to do. Thanks again for sharing your technique and your visionary draintings.
