Same an aunt of mine got married in her late 40s, the stupid teens in my family used to make fun of her when they heard she was having a big wedding, making jokes about her being 'too old' to pull off the bridal look. Well they went quiet real quick when they saw how glamorous my aunt was on her wedding. She looked like a celebrity bride honestly!

Her hair and makeup in the first dress was just perfect, she looked about 10 years younger. And that face she pulls at 1:54 is so reminiscent of early seasons Carrie.

The amount of bridal couture in this scene is just breathtaking. Especially the Oscar De La Renta! He always had a vision that brought out the best collections during his time. RIP Oscar ❤️🌹!

@@msmilano7091 you are not alone. I actually thought it was quite hideous, especially in the chest. Im reminded of a duvet and down comforter. The bird didn’t help the look either. The Vera Wang and Oscar de la renta were stunning on her in my opinion.
This was hands down my favorite scene from this entire movie. Every dress was stunning, her poses and the song was amazing and fit so perfect with Carries poses. And that Vivienne Westwood dress was the perfect dress, a touch of old Hollywood and 18th century regality all in one. Ugh just beautiful. Honorable mentions: The Vera Wang, Dior and Oscar De La Renta dresses were also GORGEOUS

I was disappointed with the suit he wore to his wedding. Based on his comment in this scene I thought he would wear something extravagant to his wedding.

@Omani CC I agree that the Lanvin minidress was more suited to Carrie's personality and the Big/Carrie relationship dynamic. Every now and then SATC styled Carrie as 1960s Mod, which I always liked -- it's a really good look on her.

When Vivienne Westwood's dress came, it was like it was ideal for carrie's figure!😍 She was stunning. I would love a dress from vivienne for my own wedding some day! I hope i can afford 💖

I love the wedding dresses here. Shame the last one made by Westwood won't be wore at the end of the movie. But I'm kind of glad in the end she wore a vintage white suit. Simple & Classics.
I find the suit to be as beautiful as the Westwood gown. They both bring something the other one can't.

Absolutely! It was romantic and beaded so beautifully….. the VW dress is gorgeous but Carrie was being swallowed in that dress. Where as the other dresses fit her like a glove, she even looked Amazing in the Dior dress.
I hate that stereotype. You can get married at any age and look wonderful. It’s messaging like this that makes people think that there is a deadline for everything.

I love the Vogue styling of the Vivienne Westwood here with the fresh makeup and loose curls. That cakey makeup, dark lipstick and dead bird on her head really aged Carrie during the wedding day scene. It gave me cold austere Cruella vibes - maybe that's the look they were going for given the big breakup, but I'm kinda not surprised Big didn't step out of the limo when he saw her...
