I'd like to see a in depth video on how you use that cnc table. Like how you measure, design and put all that into the computer to physically make the parts.
Ordered my crossfire pro, because of you, in the beginning of Feb. Got the THC too. So far I have box 1 and box 2 shipped a couple of days ago. I can hardly wait for the rest of it in box 3. Thanks for all your cool videos!
Wow! I came to get a tutorial on the CNC machine I was looking into buying for my shop. I clicked on the video and thought to myself how freaking cool I like this guys channel. Hell, you convinced me to buy the Titanium 45 plasma cutter. You just made up my mind to buy the table. I Surely hope you are getting good kick backs for promoting products cause you give a well presented video with a trusting review. Thank You!
I can't wait for the next dump truck episode
You got a pro! I literally ordered mine because I saw your original table in some of your videos, I didn't know what it was, Googled them and saw they had a pro table coming out. Box 2 of three arrives today! Can't wait!
Sounds like you and I had the same idea at about the same time from the same inspiration! My Crossfire Pro box 2 should arrive tomorrow. I'm so stoked!
I am in the same boat as you. Bought the basic Crossfire about a year ago and it has taken my work and thinking about projects to an entirely new level. Purchased the Pro and looking forward to getting it up and running. Especially excited about the torch height control.
bought a pro table just now and used your promo code. Thanks. I have a 5x10 table already but have not set it up. So I figured a 2nd table sitting would help my situation.
If this pandemic ever ends and I still have a job by the end of it, I'm going to start saving for one of these. It looks like such an awesome machine for the price.
Congrats Mike! The THC (torch height control) is a game changer with regard to cleanliness & accuracy of cuts. Saves post prep time lost to filing & grinding. Can't wait for the next Articulating dump truck video.
Right on Sean thanks for always choir my videos! I should have a new articulating dump truck video out next Friday 👍 I made some really good improvements to it in this next video!
Your videos have convinced me that this table is worth the cost for all the variety of projects I'd like to do. I just ordered one using your affiliate code. Thanks! (Now I need to save for a brake!)
Right on! You are going to really enjoy owning one 👍 They are a complete game changer for a shop, I don’t use my drill press or my belt sander much anymore, most holes are cut so accurate with perfect layout that there’s no reason to use my drill press, plus because I’m not using an angle grinder or bandsaw to cut out my work with straight lines I don’t need to grind down and round off the corners of my parts because everything can easily be radiused on the drawing program.
Just a little cleanup tapping off the slag and a little angle grinding on the sharp edges and the part is ready to build with! You will definitely enjoy this table 👍
I’ve got my Pro on order and can’t wait for it to get here. It’s going to be so nice to have this capability added to the shop. I think I’ll give the guys at Langmuir a call though and have them add the THC to my order and see if I can use your coupon code retroactively since the table hadn’t shipped yet.
Great explanation and demo on the Crossfire Pro. That unit has some great features for the price and I like the new software. I balked on the original crossfire due to some perceived drawbacks, but I am quite interested in this Pro model. Twice the price but more than twice the machine. Thanks for opening my eyes to this option!
Nice. I saw the last build video pop up as a recommendation. Really wanting a table now.
Hey Mike thanks for all the absolute amazing videos and projects that you have shared and helped us all learn from on this channel. I truly appreciate all the detail and time you spend explaining things clearly and showing how people can do this in their own garage if they have a vision and tools, without having to break the bank. I will say this though ..........YOU cost me a bit of money this year lol 😂 and I appreciate the heck out of it. Your videos gave me the confidence to buy things I wouldn’t normally .. but because of seeing them work in action and showing how well they work I was sold !!! So.... I got my Vulcan 205 , titanium 170, Crossfire pro and next I would really like the tube bender. Plus , I and my wife wear our Mike Festiva hoodies and it’s a real talking piece for people wanting to know what I have on my hoodie 😊. I hope you can do some nice winter hats in the future. I’ll buy them for sure as well . Thanks, Richie
Thank you Richie! I really appreciate your comment 👍 I’m glad you and your wife are wearing the hoodies 🙂
Sorry about the costly tool purchases haha but I’m glad you are getting some good use out of them. Subscribers like yourself are what keeps me making more videos, thank you again Rich I really do appreciate that you took the time to write this 👍
Thanks for the response Mike. I don’t know how you balance your job, making Videos, and doing all the projects and still make time for your family. and then responding to guys like me. 😊. I appreciate it !! I’m just super happy to have found your channel, watch your videos and I’m looking forward to more cnc cutting videos. Plus I like how you graciously respond to some of the people who have their own ideas that might be better kept to themselves .. some people have great suggestions and others should just keep quiet in my opinion 🤪. I hate Monday morning quarter backs and captain obvious guys. But.... they mean well I’m sure . You have a great way of handling some of the responses. Thanks again Richie 👍
Great vídeo and a great table, I was surprised with the price, I was expecting more. It is a very good bang for the buck.
Not gonna lie when I got my first cross fire it took me forever to figure out how to connect the torch to the control box. Pretty glad people are posting more videos on this machine. Definitely gonna order the pro later this week.
Just pulled the trigger on a Crossfire Pro using promo code MIKEFESTIVA. I should see it sometime in January! Thanks for the review Mike, I look forward to your builds as a fellow Fabricator/Engineer/Badass.
Troy Caldwell-Sandusky Ohio
Mine is supposed ship in June can't wait
I have been learning Fusion, SheetCam, and Inkscape. Can't wait to cut something.
I can not stress enough how important that plastic bag over the torch handle is. If water gets in the trigger it will cost you a lot of money and down time. Nice video.
I’m sold. Just ordering the Pro now. Thank you
Looks like at great set up for you Mike, my level of fabrication is no where close to needing a CNC table but I do enjoy watching people that know how to use em design and cut the parts. Have fun with it
Great video, I just finished setting my Pro today. first time I see your videos and You have earned a new subscriber.
Thanks, and keep up the good work
Awesome, thank you! I know you will have a lot of fun with your new cnc!
Great info as always. Thanks for sharing. Your CNC setup is a dream I hope to come true in my future. Keep up the great work!
Well this answered my previous question I posted on you original table. Thanks for the info.
I just assembled my Pro table. Really nice setup.
Right on 👍
Hey Mike I used your promotion thanks. I can't wait to get my table.
Right on! I think you will really enjoy owning a CNC table, it’s a awesome table 👍
I ordered a Crossfire Pro a couple weeks ago. I am new to Cnc but I am looking forward to learning. Thanks for the promo savings.
Right on 👍 I think you will really enjoy owning a CNC table!
Thanks Mike for the 100 off the table 👍 ..... I pulled the trigger on the Pro.
Right on 👍 You are really going to enjoy owning the Pro CNC table! They are awesome.
Very similar I actually operate a Mitsubishi fiber optic laser. I'm the lead fabricator at a company and that seems like a great tool for the house
Not sure how big the files you use get to but you should use a online free file storage to save your work to. Google docs or dropbox both have free option. In the future if your computer dies all the files will be saved online. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the video and review, finally decided to purchase one and get started with a new toy. Great channel
This video is perfect timing Mike I was actually thinking about buying one this morning! And will 100% use your discount code! Thank you for all the great videos
Right on 👍 I think you will really enjoy having a CNC table, they completely transform the way you go about building things! Take care Kenneth.
Nice that you get the software for free with the table
Just ordered my CNC table and used you promo code. THANKS
Well you just sold me on the table, gunna have to order one in a few weeks.
Ordered mine they say August
Hey Mike hope you and the family have a happy thanksgiving! Just wanted to say thanks for the $100.00 off discount code at Langmuir, I just purchased the Pro table. Thanks again every bit helps 👍
Nice Joe! You are really going to have a blast with this machine 👍 I’m still amazed by the parts I can cut in my own home shop.
The really cool thing is if you draw up a part and you need multiples of it, it’s always on file, so you can cut more anytime. If you end up selling the parts you can cut them so fast that you can mass produce in your home shop! Take care and I’m excited for you!
Happy thanksgiving 🦃
My last box is supposed to ship next week! Great video - thanks! Can't wait to start cutting!
I have been wanting to purchase one but with the cost of steel at present I just ready got to see one up close.
I am a farm kid, grown up to be a mechanical/hydraulic engineer. It's amazing how cheap these precision tools have become. I used inventor every day and would love to set up a burn table on the farm. Problem is, I have no jobs for it.
You never said in your videos where your from?
It’s nice to know a hydraulic engineer, I may have a few questions for you 😀
It’s definitely nice having a CNC table for my projects, it unlocks many possibilities for fabrication at home. I live in the Pacific Northwest of Washington 👍
I have been thinking of a CNC Plasma system. I'll have to look into this unit.
Most of the systems that were in my budget didn't have the table size needed to put a 2x4 foot sheet remnant on. Sadly you shouldn't cut 4130 steel with plasma I am told if you are going to use it in aircraft structures.
Looks like a big step up compared to the original table I like the software way better
would recomend grabbing a toughbook for the shop they tend to last longer in rougher enviroments
Thanks man, this video was great and helped me make my decision!
FYI to everyone, because Langmuir is back ordered, you save $500 on the Pro right now, PLUS an additional $100 with Mike,s code! That $600 savings practically paid for my plasma cutter, THANKS MIKE!!!!
Right on! I think you will really enjoy owning a CNC table 👍 Yes these tables are a really good price especially like you mentioned with the tables being back ordered, they are cutting the price plus you can use the promo code. I’m glad you mentioned this, I have wanted to tell people about this but I don’t know how long this price will be around for. Thanks for checking out my videos and commenting 👍
@@Mikefestiva no problem! I've been looking at it for over a month, and saw the $500 off then, so after some humming and hawing, and watching your simple and to the point video, I pulled the trigger. I have been a fabricator for 30 years, and am currently producing a piece that I make fully by hand, so this unit will allow me to make my product much quicker. I also picked up the titanium 45 (I found a good deal), so I can use this video to show me how to set it up with the Pro as well. Thanks again, and don't be surprised if I hit you up for a question or 2 when it gets here in Nov. LOL! Take care!
I found the written instructions to be unclear in many places. To clarify, when installing the motors, the instructions say to use one long cable motor and one short cable motor for the y axis; but I noticed that the short cable motors are both 71A and the long cable is 70A. If they have different amperage then are they really supposed to be used for the same axis instead of both short cable motors?
Enjoy your new CNC table Mike!
Mike I finally picked up a pro table and thanks to you I got a $100 off so thanks for that! And please more than ever do I need you to do the Fusion 360 #4 video lol like I am begging you lol love the way you explain everything in your videos I learned so much but I cant help but feel abandoned on the 4th video so make it happen lol! Take care!
Nice video! Are you going to sell the old table? I really need to add one to my shop. After playing with the Pro so far would you still suggest the original?
Mike, was yours ordered as part of batch one or batch two? I have part of mine but waiting on a box and a torch height controller yet. They are running slightly behind on their batch two. Thanks for another great video!
Another KILLER informational Video,,,Great Work mike,,,can’t wait till yr next video
I just finished binge watching the articulating 4x4 series nice job on the videos and truck. I am interested on your personal opinion on the plasma tables now that you have the pro what do you think about the personal? If you had the pro at the beginning of the truck build would you have done things differently?Thank you Vince
I’m glad I tried out the original crossfire table, it really helped me build my articulating dump truck, without that table I’m not sure if I would of had the time to cut all those part with an angle grinder by hand.
I can really appreciate the extra features of the crossfire PRO, I definitely recommend it over the original, but it’s definitely hard to put out that money if you haven’t ever used a CNC table, but I can guaranty once you have a CNC you will wonder why you didn’t buy one sooner!
Thanks for checking out my videos Vincent 🙂
Thanks Mike, used your code. Is there an inexpensive plasma cutter with a voltage divider and can you adapt your Habor angled torch to a straight torch ?
Going with Razor 45 bc of CNC port
What size are the stepper motors? Thanks for the video
I really enjoy your videos. Thankyou!! Can I use 8 ft long tube and wen you do other side keep same accuracy. In cnc Thanks.
you lucky ducky! since watching your videos this thing has been on my wishlist!
Thanks for a great video, Mike. I am looking to get a table and this is the first video I've seen that was very helpful to me and inspiring. Keep up the good work. Thanks again and Cheers!
I really enjoy owning a CNC plasma table!
If you check out my Mini pinzgauer build series you will so this CNC table being used often 👍 Plus it’s a fun build series!
The height control is nice but the table we use that has it is a pain when you switch programs it gets all confused also it’s older torch mate. Hopefully yours works well for you
I have had no problems when switching programs, only time I have had it get a little strange is on occasion when I’m cutting aluminum, only once in a while it can start hunting for voltage and it will start pulsing up and down about 3/16 of an inch, it will still cut but leaves a serrated edge on the aluminum, other times it cuts fine, I think I need to change the perimeters up a bit so it doesn’t do that, it’s only on occasion so I don’t get too worried about it. Thanks for checking out my video! Have you seen my articulating dump truck build series?
Mike, at some point in one of your videos, I wish you'd take a minute to explain how your engineering is affected by the components that are available (through suppliers you use)
and which seem appropriate for whatever subcomponent you're working on. Great video, as always!
Just ordered my Pro... thanks for the review...
Another great video Mike.
These videos? Great walkthrough of the new Crossfire. Next, get a French wheel and make the dump truck a body... Some fenders a hood, can you imagine?
I think you mean English wheel?
P. T. Anderson You’er right, I was sleeping on that comment. It is called an English wheel. This is why my wife never lets me order food.
Hey Mike, thanks again for all of the great videos. I'm contemplating whether to buy a Cross Fire Pro or purchase a Arc Light plasma table. There is definitely a big difference in price! I'm not the greatest when it comes to computer stuff so have you had good support from the Langmuir folks? and also in your opinion is this machine just as capable for day to day operations compared to the Arc Light or any other industrial grade tables?
Mike, can a dummy like me understand this thing? You make it look easy. I'll come back later to watch the video in full.
Hey Joe you would have not problem running it 👍 I had a block on stuff like this in the past and I figured it out. How have you been? Any fun projects these days?
I enjoyed the video, thank you. How do I know I have the power I need I my garage to run the table, plasma and compressor?
What type of air compressor do you have? in order to run the plasma cutter?
I bit the bullet and bought one tonight. Thanks for saving me 100 bucks.
Right on! I think you will really like owning a CNC plasma table, they really are awesome 👍
@@Mikefestiva I think so too. Just have to wait until May for it to arrive.
How much did that cost you, if you don't mind me asking?
I was in tears when I seen you had that thingI've been looking at them since they came out trying to figure out a way to come up with money
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😭😭
I'm cold in my shop - quote.... build a fire place with them tools. Moving wood is hard... lol. You've got the vehicles.
Very nice wish I could afford that for my shop.
Nicely done amigo!!!
Great video! I don't have a plasma table, but access to a water jet. I design the brackets and parts for my Camaro build in Fusion (personal edition) then save as STL, and 3D print them as prototypes. When I'm satisfied with the plastic (3D printers are very accurate) I convert them to DXF files and send them to the waterjet. Using the #D printer saves a ton of time and money in materials. Eventually, I will buy a plasma table. Thanks again
Thanks for checking out my videos!
That’s a great idea to print them and test fit first 🙂👍
So, could you cut new slats using the plasma table instead of buying them? :D
Definitely worth every penny to pick up the pro model
Just ordered mine today!!!
Right on 👍 you will definitely enjoy having a CNC table, it’s amazing how much you can do with one!
So awesome.. Now that's #2 on My looking list of tools to aquire.
Hey Chilly are you from GSBG
That cnc table is awesome! Pretty affordable too.
Thanks for the video!!
What gauge steel were you cutting through on the first test sheet? And would you say this system is capable of cutting out fairly fine detail art type pieces?
Hey Mike, thanks for the discount code. I just ordered a Pro and scored a Benjamin using MIKEFESTIVA.
Craig Hollabaugh Nice! I think you will really enjoy having a CNC table! It’s one of the best tools I have ever bought 👍
Great video been watching a lot of cutting table videos lately the price of all these tables seem to be a big secret nobody seems to talk about it
Thanks for checking out my video 👍
There’s no secret if you just go to there website,
The reason I didn’t mention the price is because they aren’t always the same, for instance the last time I checked they are $500 off the original price because they are back ordered. Keep in mind these videos are long term, if I mention a price and it changes later on I will keep getting comments from people complaining that it’s gone up. Believe me I hear it all the time about a welder I reviewed a year ago. Take care Joe.
2495.00 seem a fair price compared to the torch mate, but won’t ship till March, thanks
A fantastic man what shows you everything. Love looking watching and learning thank you👀♥️👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
So basically you hooked up you plasma cutter from harbor freight to the table?
What compressor do you use and do you use an air dryer?
Excellent video. Short, sweet n 2 the point.
way to go, man. congrats.
Damnit, I had my boots on and running out the door to go buy square hole drill bits! Guess I have to buy a table now. Great video!
You can actually buy drills for square holes. It's a triangular bit and a little gearbox that makes the bit move a lot like the motion of a DA sander running under no load. $$$
Hi Mike great videos i have a couple questions what laptop are you using in this video i like a bigger screen like that one also i was one their website and im little confused on which is the free programs to download to set up and practice is possible to point me in the right direction. Thanks
Very cool Mike!! Looks like a nice upgrade. I know this corona thing has us all cooped up, but I'm expecting you to bring that dump truck down here for my long term test... 😆😂
Yes I would love to come down and let you test it out the articulating dump truck 🙂
Do you have any videos coming out soon!?!?
@@Mikefestiva I don't. We had a family emergency this past month, all turned out good, but were very scared and now I've got a lot of medical bills to pay. So I've been focusing on paid work, no fun for me for a while..
Moto Mule I’m sorry to here this Mike, I’m glad every one is okay now but man that’s a bummer about the bills 😐
Take care Mike and stay safe my friend.
@@Mikefestiva thank you! I am very grateful these days. Someone was looking out for us for sure....
Good day.
I Work, assemble machines with the same structure, only they have a table between the rails. My problem has been to align the rails on each side, to ensure parallelism and perpendicularity, preventing the gantry from crossing and stopping. The rails are located at a distance of 3 meters from each other. Know some technical and effective alignment system. So far I do it empirically with a tensioned steel wire.
Would be interesting to see a comparison between the two machines cutting the same piece to see the cut quality
Unfortunately the small table is going to my friends shop so I probably can’t do that video but if you have seen any of my articulating truck build videos you would see the smaller table doing all the cutting on that build. The smaller table cuts fantastic for 1/8” to 1/2” metal, I have cut 1/16” a little with it too. The real difference is set up time, the smaller table I always check all four corners of my part before cutting to make sure the torch tip doesn’t contact the metal, the new table you just zero the machine and press start. It also handles really thin metal better because of the THC Z height control keeps the tip from touching the metal if the thin metal starts to warp during the cut.
Do you have anything posted on how you wired the Titanium 45 to the crossfire pro?
Anything you can pass along is much appreciated.
Thanks.
Amazing first cut.
Thanks James 🙂👍
Can you work on a part that is bigger than the table? One thing I'm thinking of is a squat rack wher I need holes down the length of the square tube. Can I cut, move, re-index, and finish cutting?
Mike when you put the sticker on your crossfire pro 👍 where do you get your stickers maded up and what kind of money does it cost and what kind of quantity do you have to get
A friend of Mike's made them on a vinyl cutter they are pretty simple to make if you have a vinyl cutter or know some one that has one in you can buy a cutter for as little as $200
Pretty cool Brosuff. 🍻🤙
Thanks for checking out my new video Justin 👍 I appreciate it!
awesome info video, I like that you kept the torch covered with the plastic bag, but how is that plastic bag holding on without melting or disintegrating?
Haha the plastic bag is holding up great, it’s held on with a zip tie. There’s really not a lot of heat coming up onto the plasma handle so that bag doesn’t really get any heat in it. Take care Nelson
What do you use for a laptop? and would you buy the same one? I ready to place a order for a pro model but need to get a computer also. like your content your work is impressive. thanks for sharing
Dang man, slightly jealous 😁. That's great. Would be great to have that torch height control! I've definitely ran into having issues with warped metal. Slightly frustrating. I'll have to water until I expand my shop to have room for the pro.
Mike Langmuir says it requires a 16 ft cable from the plasma cutter, my harbor freight is only a 1o ft. How did you get yours to work with a ten foot?
I just hooked it up and set the plasma cutter on a table next to the CNC table.
I’m really not sure why Langmuir says that, I do remember reading that as well.
Thanks for speedy reply
So they say the torch lead needs to be 16' long and the titanium is only 12' or so. How did you compensate for that?
I was wondering if that was going to work when I ordered the original crossfire plasma table, it worked just fine.
The pro was bigger so again I was wondering if it was going to work with my Titanium. It works fine, I have the plasma 45 up behind my table, this way no water gets on it and it also makes it so you don’t need the longer lead. I’m thinking they recommend the longer lead so you can have the plasma on the floor?
Who knows but I’m happy with the crossfire pro and my Titanium 🙂👍
Take care Michael
I have got to ask you the question, did you run into the problem with the Titanium 13ft torch lead that you are using?
Because the CrossFire Pro website said they recommend using a 16ft torch lead on the Pro table if you use a compatible cutter but what I can see in your video, you have your Titanium sitting high above and behind the table.
So that just tells me that you worked out the problem or that is just the way you wanted to set it up to start with?
I am not sure.
I noticed that too on there web site, the recommendation of the longer lead. I’m using the titanium’s stock lead and it’s working fine. I set the plasma torch up on the bearing press mainly to get it up off the floor and save room in my shop. I don’t recall how much extra lead I had but I know it’s not been a issue. 👍 Take care Warren.
