@Friedbananna hey man I'm the same age as you and I've always been to the dentist twice, my teeth are bad right now but I'm trying to find the courage to bring myself, did you manage to visit the dentist yourself?
For some reason I thought I was just messed up. I'm just now at this moment realizing after doing some additional web search I'm suffering severely from dental phobia. I didn't realize this was real I thought I was just partly in denial and embarrassed but I swear everytime I think of it I always say I'm going I'm going to drive to one and try and get in. I'm going to call just to hang up the mere though terrifies me and it felt so irrational to myself to have this sudden fear. I've lost 1 tooth completely and 3 have basically craters. My 2 front are broken and frail and it's hard to admit I feel like I look like I'm just trash no matter how I look otherwise and I never cared for appearing any particular way before. Thank you for your story.
You aren’t alone. I have 2 broken mollers along with 2 other teeth that have big cavities. I’m so scared of going to the dentist even though I’ve been telling myself to go for 2 years now. It’s so bad I get scared when I even heard the word dentist.
@@Maca11 Sorry to hear that. It sucks a lot. I was in the excruciating pain ever since the beginning of July and obviously it can’t be any good. Plus it’s going to be a ton of money. I mean a ton. It’s a very bad thing to have bad teeth because your brain is directly above them. We’re in the same boat. I’ll need a couple root canals, maybe even extractions too. It’s just gonna hurt so bad. I remember when I was a lot younger my dentist drilled / marked a cross into my wisdom teeth with a dremel. I remember her saying it was due to the fact they’d know to take it out some later time. But I never needed my wisdom teeth removed in the first place and I think that really fucked up my teeth by her doing that. Not putting all blame on her. Obviously it’s my fault my teeth are the way they are. But yeah. Wish you the best of luck
Go! Up until just recently, I had not visited the dentist for over 9 years. I would make excuses from needing to "save up money" to home remedies with oral care. When I finally gathered up the courage by having a checkup last November, it was not good news as I was told that I have a pile of cavities, exposed roots, lots of tartar, a chipped veneer, and 50% bone loss, which meant a referral to a periodontist. It is now January the 8th, and my dental visits have been ongoing. Second trip involved the cleaning with lots of brutal scraping to remove the tartar---my bottom front teeth look freaky when my lip is pulled down since there are now spaces where the plaque used to be. Third visit involved fillings for my upper teeth with one of them being a deep cavity. Today was my fourth visit for lower teeth fillings, which also included another deep filling except this time the cavity somehow grew below an old filling that had to be removed (!). The fifth visit is next week, which will involve the supposed final filling on the lower left side since it had taken so long with today's filling. I'm thinking that there will be a sixth visit since my chipped veneer needs to be removed and replaced. Then of course there is still the periodontist that I'll need to visit... Never again will I make lame excuses in avoiding the dentist!

I want my teeth paper white i brush floss use mouth wash 2 times daily but there not white like paper towels there not fake bright white so I want to get mine pulled out and get implants in for something different because i am no satisfied with the whiteness of my teeth
Teeth aren’t naturally super white so don’t feel conscious! If you want them to be whiter absoloutly do not pull out your healthy teeth, instead look into composite bonding or veneers. Implants are very expensive and aren’t as good as natural teeth
Go to the dentist for teeth whitening it is much cheaper than getting implants or dentures even. You only need dentures if your teeth are rotten or have lost a bunch of them.
I wish we could have seen more of his journey. I'm in a similar position. I have an appointment next week to have surgery on a tooth and I'm so afraid

I'm disgraced the UK won't recognise dental phobia and just give patients IV drug relief like we do here in Australia
