Joan needs her own home. Joan didn’t sell her condo home. That condo home in New York in is absolutely beautiful. She had it for sale for 25 million. She had it for sale for about two yrs before Joan died. Melissa had to go to New York clean it all out and Joan had so many urns full of ashes and silver & China that’s been in her family for years. Melissa said I have to figure out what to do with it all. Am I going to sell it or what? So I saw an article she wrote later, she said she kept all the silver and China and she’s not sure what to do, with the dogs. I think some of Joan’s friends ended up taking them. Melissa had a sale of Joan’s clothes and the gays came and bought them not to wear, but to just have them. Melissa also said Joan had a huge storage unit on the basement area of that building full of furniture Joan had bought for different occasions. So Melissa had to figure out what to do? She said it took weeks before she could even stand to go to the apartment to walk in. She had a really hard time cause it was so unexpected. She had gone to have a refreshing done on her face.
Melissa was on an interview one on one with someone like Kathy Lee, or someone like that. I’d like you to see if Melissa has written anything further about how she put one foot in front of the other. When we lost my mom she had been in assisted living for a long time. She slowly started to show the end was near. I’d like to know how long it took her to sale the apartment.
I tried to get my mom to move in with me after my daddy died. She was having a social life at her assisted living. She wouldn’t come stay with me. I lost my husband and my daddy died so I remodeled my house to fit a wheel chair friendly. Then she said she had so much stuff and old ladies to be social with she didn’t want to live with me. It hurt my feelings at first but she didn’t want to. So I said ok. No biggie. Finally my mom got real sick and They said not much longer so when she died I cleaned out my house and sold it! Moved to Colorado.
Joan is so missed and will forever be most beloved by all of her family, friends and fans. Just seeing and hearing her in this video made me smile, yet misty-eyed. Thank you for sharing with us…and thank you dear Joan for the laughter and memories. ❤
I would like to extend my utmost gratitude and reverence for dedicating a youtube channel for our lovely comedian Joan, she was underrated and she deserves more views. Please bring back all her intrevews and show from the 50s onward, if anyone have videos for joan share it with the channel owner so we don't lose our lovely Joan. thank you ones again.
