    Both Ricciarelli and Carreras were still in great form back in 77.

    che assoluta meraviglia! La coppia Ricciarelli e Carreras era qualcosa di ineguagliabile per bellezza assoluta delle due voci, per passionalità di fraseggio, per perfetta fusione timbrica e sentimentale e di intenzioni musicali. Forse non ho mai ascoltato un "Ballo" meglio cantato nei due ruoli protagonisti

    Both Carreras and Ricciarelli are singing beautifully here. They were scheduled for Ballo at the Met at around the same time and both cancelled. Carlo Bergonzi on his last legs replaced Carreras and I was so disappointed.
