Thank you for your tips. I play a lot of engine builders but Everdell is a really tough one for me. This video helped me think outside of my previously established box.
I have the same problem, the mistake is thinking bout the game as a engine building in my opinion. You only have 1 green cards activation turn (ignoring first one, which is not very powerful), and only a few cards other than green can be used as "engine building". It helped me thinking on trading resources, instead of engine building If you want to create an engine you'll lack of points most of the time
In my opinion, the single most powerful combo for city building: Courthouse + Judge + Crane. I once had a Courthouse/Judge combo in my city. I only had 1 berry as a resource. However, using the Judge’s power, I used the berry as a pebble in order to play the Crane. I then could gain a pebble from playing a construction using the Courthouse’s power. I then used the Crane to give me a 3 resource discount to play the University for free. I then gained ANOTHER pebble from the Courthouse for playing another construction. So, with the Courthouse/Judge/Crane combo, I successfully converted a single berry into a University + 2 pebbles.
Fully agree. I got the combo the other day by accident and in the last phase of the game I had basically unlimited resources. The only thing that I would like to note is that it is forbidden to use crane and judge at the same time (for cards that require 4+ resources). It can be easily overlooked.
The judge cannot change a resource you have in your supply, it changes 1 resource you need to buy a card. Its power can be used every time you buy a card tho so it's very powerful

One thing I been trying to figure out is can the a judge be used every turn to replace the resources for another you have in your own supply?

Now it's offensive to people who aren't harvester-gatherer partners lol
