i think maria's third phase is greatly overshadowed by her first phase music tbh, i'd even say it's one of the best pieces from soft has put out aside from dancing lion and midra
Right? The first phase is so elegant and genuinely feels so royal, but the 2nd and 3rd phase just devolve into a chaotic mess of choirs. I haven't played bloodborne but know that it has to do with her lore, but it just feels a bit messy to me
the version you listened to was actually not the "real" version or rather it is not how it is on official CDs or releases, there are differences all over like the beginning is not just fade, there is a whole section missing in the 2nd phase, and there is an end not just a fade out
I think Lady Maria's bodyguard, living failures, will be suitable next time.
