That was the power steering pump which has been fixed now. On full turn it would make the noise.

100% was the gearbox oil, been around plenty of these cars that make the same sound. Put in some LS oil and it’ll stop.

@@a1bro685 I invested half of the price of the car on repairs of its shitty a20nft engine. I mean its very unreliable. Other than that poor fuel economy in comparison to my camaro 6.2 v8 from 2017. There is like only 2-2.5l diffrence in fuel consumption between them. Astra is heavy and slow af when u start from for eg traffic lights. When you hit 2800rpm it starts going better but come on. So if u want to be more eco friendly and not to hit 100% gas all the time when you stop u will be slower than skoda fabia. Also camaro has a smaller turning diameter so its more city friendly than this HATCHBACK. Like really if u want to park astra u have to take a turn like if u were in a truck. If u have to park in tight areas or drive on tight streets then gl to u. Its not a good car for cities. At least not for eu cities. Suspension is set pretty low too so you need to be very careful to not to hit a higher curbs (it sits little lower than vanilla camaro). Interior is nice and handling feels gokartish like. Exterior also looks newer and more expensive than it really is and to my surprise a lot of people ask me what car is it and that it looks really cool (especially 20" rims do the job). I dont think that there is another car in that price range as astra which creates so much interest in people (also keep in mind that mine is without aero package which comes with additional spoiler at the back and bigger sideskirts and its black not arden blue and still it do the job). Also its a pretty rare car which has some benefits (people are intrested in it) and downsides (parts are expensive and poorly available). Oh and the exhaust sounds cool for 4cyl I guess. If u want to modify it and u dont live in uk then also gl to u. Almost all tuning parts come from uk companies which do not sell them in eu. So to summarise. It looks cool, its pretty unreliable and parts are pretty expensive and poorly available, feels slow and heavy on straight line but on turns its a beast and interior is really nice for this car segment. If I could turn back time id choose probably megane rs or saved more money for v8 muscle car. But still its rarer than camaros, 911s, amgs and rss in my city. Maybe it is a shitbox but i have a soft spot for it lmao.
