He might be slightly past his physical peak but the fact he has adapted his game by pressing less to conserve his bursts and being more into the playmaker role than before. He's a different player now. His mental game is better
Liverpool's current streak has a lot to do with the players in question, i.e. Salah, Van Dijk and Alexander, being in the team. Very sure that the powers-that-be in Liverpool are aware of that. Hopefully, things will turn out positively soon. ❤❤❤ YNWA.
This guy who said f off from the club to mo when we had midfield crisis. Even then salah had 20+ g/a. Look at foden now. So don't tell he's past his peak you never know
I believe he is in his peak right now. His game has slightly morphed. His assists and some of the clever passing to create big chances this season are something we've rarely seen. He looks strong and fast, and has brushed off defenders better than the last couple of seasons. He's less predictable, and less greedy. The only thing I see him doing slightly less, is helping out as much defensively, however even then, he was the one who picked the ball off of Mbappe in Real Madrid's attacking third. I truly believe Salah could keep going for 3 seasons purely because he is capable of adapting, and his fitness levels very rarely drop.
Even Liz Truss and Kwasi Kwarteng can understand it makes more sense to pay £50m-£60m to re-sign Salah than sign an unproven replacement for £80m to £100m (transfer fee and wages).
Less than 4 weeks until they can talk to other clubs and we still don't have any of the 3 re-signed. At this point the only way back is to announce all 3 at same time. Incredible mis-management
The guy still has pace to reckon with, he's always fit, he scores goals and provides assists. What are the club hierarchy looking for? Give him what he wants. He has carried us for far too long.
@ juventus sold him because of his ( injury record .!!!!? I hope 🤞 I’m wrong 😑 let’s wait and see .. always when a player comes from injury 🤕🙄 it take time for his recovery …. 🥺🙄
Craig you hit the nail on the head when you said you cant believe Salah's agent hasnt been in talks..So something must have been discussed..Yes a contract(however many years and wages) OR..we dont want to offer a new contract..
What if we give Mo what he wants and he drops his standard 2nd half of the season? Happens to tons of pros and let's not forget how poor he was at tail end of last season
And some pro's like Di Natale hit their peak mid 30s. A poor Salah is still competing and beating the likes of Palmer and Saka. Besides the fact that he never had a season where he had less than 20 G/A, besides the fact that he contributed to 61% of LV goals and saved the club so many times (if not LV would be 13th). The guy looks in the best shape, he's ever been in. He's not just "tons of pros". He takes care of his mental health and body like Cristiano. He doesn't show any signs of a fall off and he's hunting down records of the PL all time greats. He inspires the dressing room and guys look up to him.
Salah and Van Dijk are like the foundation of a house. If you dispense with one of them, the house will collapse. It is crazy to even think about that. Please give them their contracts immediately
To be the best team, with the best players, at some point you have to offer the best pay or we will lose them and likely lose matches as a result. But also as you said, where else will he go, Saudi is an early retirement, real don't need him, the french league is dead. Liverpool on top of everything. He will always have money, but he won't always have the chance to play at the top.
He is past his peak but still a world class player , he might be giving the best of what he has left for the contract or because he wants to leave with some more trophies
Id say salah is still in his peak, but on the downward trajectory. He is playing above the average of where he is for his age with the stats and figures he is putting out, but we know that this won't last for too long. I believe with sports science where it is now, with diets players are on and training styles, players can extend the length of their peak and keeping high performances into their mid 30's. When i was growing up once a player hits 30 it was the end of their career, and that stigma still around but with better technologies, knowledge and where science is, it is slowly becoming the norm now for players to be playing for longer at the highest levels and i think salah is one of those players, so we should renew his contract.
Yet the same people think Trent has an even higher level to show. Yes, Trent is great at what he does. But we're also pretty much seeing his peak already.
If Salah's Agent does not know what terms are being offered by LFC then he is not doing his job. I find it hard to believe this is the case. Why don't we as fans just chill out and let the negotiations take their course.
It's become ridiculous with Salah. He's always available and producing ridiculous numbers. Even if he dropped 50%, he's still better than most forwards out there. We aren't replacing him with 100m. Just give him a 2-3 year contract. If he really dipped and we were ok to move him on, that would help fetch a transfer fee from Saudi, MLS, etc at that time. Giving him 1 or 2 will just have everyone whining he's leaving for a free in 2 years.
He’s playing well at moments he can go 90 mins not touch the ball and score a penalty and do a nice pass in 5 minutes and honestly that’s what he does all the time. He ain’t messi he doesn’t dominate games he’s not that sort of player. But u can’t deny he always finds a way
Our start to the season has papered over the cracks of the shit show way that FSG managed the summer transfer window and these contract negotiations. A report of our second worst financial season last year with a loss of £140m makes me really wonder what the hell is going on
F$G piss our money away on their Male Rounders team, their puck slapping side, fucking over Bordeaux, using it on their NASCAR bollocks, we have ALWAYS been their cash cow
You keep going on about, "the club" this, "the club" that, what IF it is NOT, "the club" but Arne Slot himself who has told, "the club" that HE doesn't want Mo (as bonkers as that might seem to us!!!) and wants to build his own team along different lines - lines that do not include Mo Salah?! At least from THIS point of view, the lack of a contract extension makes sense?
I hear what Craig is saying but if performance increases then that's the peak of performance right, what other peak is there to measure? Mos numbers are incredible if they are getting better which I believe they are this year then we will have to believe him or he will make us believe!
Salah is 32½, If Liverpool pay him a huge wage, they'll all be knocking at the door for more money, and here we have people protesting a rise in season ticket prices. What do they want? Finance is not infinite.
Are the club more intent on replacements then? Coz I’m starting to feel that. Running three big ones down to last minute seems off. I have faith mostly in the decision making.. and they’ve found some gems over the years.
If his contract runs out, we lose him for free and take a 70million or so gamble on someone else. Think of R. Keane, A. Carroll,... I think it's worth keeping Salah. He is proven, his attitude is right and he has been a great servant to the club.
It's always interesting how those who have never kicked a ball and know nothing about player physicality, player knowledge. Sallah is currently the best right winger in the world. He gains more knowledge and NO he is not past his peak.
My take is, Mo isn't past his peak. He's prolonging his peak imo. Yes his speed will go but he's adapting this new Mo. I think this version of Mo will have another 5yrs at the top. You're not offering Mo based on what he was, but what he is now and looks going forward. He had a peak of pacey Mo and now its peak of the new Mo. I'd sign him on a 3 or 4 year deal tbh. Gerrard Changed his game and we was all OK. Mo has changed but looks phenomenal still. 100% sign him up
Makes me laugh that FSG think they're in position to bargain over anything at this point??? FSG-"Mo, we are only willing to give you one year deal and £250k a week" "Right, how about I go to any top club and score lots of goals, and earn double that or quadruple it, if i go to Saudi" FSG-"ermmm, we will give you a bag of peanuts, nothing more, come on, we are doing you a favour here"
LFC is a HARD Negotiator, they are very good at it, no one can change that. Someone discovered Salah, someone else may have discovered something better! It's all games. LFC is a strategic planner. Period!
I think the club are delaying on purpose, not just for financial reasons but for performance reasons. All this is clearly causing Mo to push harder on the pitch and it’s getting the best out of him. It’s a risky move though because he could take the hump and leave.
I think the carragher thing did affect him and some fans are coming out and saying just get rid. Look just let him know where he stands and if it is his last season let calmly go out with a bang
Why is Richard Hughes hiding from answering any questions about the contracts? He needs to be at the press conferences to take the pressure off of Slot being asked about them every week.
Because the Liverpool way is not to air they business, Salah coming out like that is Self , VVD is more important player for us , and when Virgil was asked about the contract he said he only Thinking about City , that's class , If Salah really wants to stay at Liverpool then don't be a cry baby 😢
@AshleyJames-ss6ip I just have a problem with the front office allowing the pressure of the contracts to be a distraction to the amazing start Slot has had. Once January 1st rolls around, that pressure is going to REALLY ramp up.
@@stevewilton8215 but maybe the players have out priced them self , I believe Trent has , Salah did this last time contract time saying I'll move to a rival , no loyalty , an let's be true , Liverpool turn him in to the player but like couthino, we move on , Like I said if we had the chance of 1 staying VVD , we can always get another Salah , Trent replacement is already here Bradley, better Defensively, but VVD are rare , I love all three to say , But Salah always cry , pisses me off , If Salah wants money go PSG a shitty league or the Saudi 💰 , No player is bigger than Liverpool, at 32 yo , one injury can Finnish him , He needs to ask him self money or Records ?

I truly wonder how will us the Liverpool fans feel or those who are so eager to extend his contract feel when he stops playing now that he has his dolla for another 2 years ? How many times in football have we seen players that start performing when their contract is about to end and then when it gets renewed as it seems the most logical thing to do by the club and then poof that player is no longer the same or not to be seen ? Yes him going on fee would be bad business but the actualy factor that he can start underperforming as soon as that contract gets renewed remains. Its good to be in lala land and think all will be amazing and beautiful, I want to be positive about it too, but what happens when we sign another winger and he is 300x better as he is younger ? What then ? I feel like people love to yapp with their emotions but we were saying the same about Mane and now we all adore Luis Diaz and Gakpo. Most of you use to hate on Konate and now he is the best CB in the world. It is very possible that what I am saying wont happen with Salah if he signs but it is also very likely that it can happen. We praise the smart business that we do yet we are crying for oil money to be paid for someone to kick ball, if Salah actually likes this club and "loves" it as he says then his demands wouldnt be high. The fact that his demands are high goes to show how much he loves it. If you love a woman wouldnt you compromise ? You probably would, how much more money does 1 human being need to live ? No player is bigger than the club if he wants to go then he has to go, plenty of talent that would love to prove themselves on that spot. Its getting boring now with the demands of players "I love the club I want to stay " yet you want to rinse their bank for it ? LOL its so contradictory and the low IQ of the fans is as transparent as air.
I think a 2 year extension would be perfect and I'm sure Liverpool will bring a replacement in during the 2 years so if he frops of a bit he could become an impact sub for the last 25/30 mins hopefully they get it through the door but we can't hand him crazy money just step up fsg ye didn't spend a penny the summer gone so get it done.

Redmen barely mentioning it!!!!!!!
Good for them, that's as it should be. It is all wasted energy discussing something that none of us are ever going to be involved in.
Might as well not talk about the weather then
The guy still has pace to reckon with, he's always fit, he scores goals and provides assists. What are the club hierarchy looking for? Give him what he wants. He has carried us for far too long.
Liverpool wasted 10 millions on chiesa 😂
🙄
Give mo what he wants 😎😠😠
Chiesa will prove he is worth a lot more than 10 million, keep the Faith.
I honestly think that he has plateaued for a couple of seasons now where he has reached his prime and stayed there.
He has reached his peak and he is at his peak he hasn’t not started to decline from his peak yet
I want him to go. Let them know what they ll miss
He should go city can still win things and climb the most goals scoring chart
Agree with paramedicalgel spot on mate 👍
Salah was at his peak wen we won the league him bobby and mane were all unstoppable
No idea how you can say he is past his peak. Regardless of his age he is currently STILL in his peak.
NOT mentally.
What does he want??? How much???
Yet the same people think Trent has an even higher level to show. Yes, Trent is great at what he does. But we're also pretty much seeing his peak already.
This is FSG for you ladies and gentlemen.
Of course he is. Anyone who says he is is allowing emotions to get the better of them
Keep mohamed sala at least for two years
If Salah's Agent does not know what terms are being offered by LFC then he is not doing his job.
But u can’t deny he always finds a way
Sort them 3 contracts out
2 year is good
I think the virals fans are shocked that Liverpool didn't renew the God d*** contract 😮😮😮
Totally agree with you Craig
2 years plus 1 year option
VVD also
Fsg only give out 1 year contracts to over 30s and 4 years to injured players
I think we are all feeling the same way about must give Mo a new contract, it must happen
2 years contract is an excellent deal for both sides.
Should offer him what he deserves a 3 year contract end of. NO he is fit and he has still got speed
I'd do a 2+1 deal. so a 2 year deal with the option of a further one, which triggers in 2026
The numbers suggest he is still in his peak
If FSG is really ambitious Salah and Van dirk must be offered a minimum of 2 years contract!
i totally trust ME whatever he doing
AT his peak. C'mon Liverpool, stop messing about and give him what he wants. He's well worth it whatever it is.
Are the club more intent on replacements then? Coz I’m starting to feel that. Running three big ones down to last minute seems off. I have faith mostly in the decision making.. and they’ve found some gems over the years.
IT'S NOT A DISGRACE THAT WE'RE AT THIS POINT WITH SALAH IF HE'S NOT TAKING WHAT THE CLUB OFFERED INITIALLY. IT GOES BOTH WAYS.
If his contract runs out, we lose him for free and take a 70million or so gamble on someone else. Think of R. Keane, A. Carroll,... I think it's worth keeping Salah. He is proven, his attitude is right and he has been a great servant to the club.
Agreed, he is marvellous but no footballer is approaching his peak at 33.
For now Sala is the best player ,he should be given what he wants..Hon.Alberto
FSG-"Mo, we are only willing to give you one year deal and £250k a week"
"Right, how about I go to any top club and score lots of goals, and earn double that or quadruple it, if i go to Saudi"
FSG-"ermmm, we will give you a bag of peanuts, nothing more, come on, we are doing you a favour here"
LFC is a HARD Negotiator, they are very good at it, no one can change that.
I think his best season was his first, with 32 prem goals
Why is Richard Hughes hiding from answering any questions about the contracts? He needs to be at the press conferences to take the pressure off of Slot being asked about them every week.
Because the Liverpool way is not to air they business, Salah coming out like that is Self , VVD is more important player for us , and when Virgil was asked about the contract he said he only Thinking about City , that's class ,
If Salah really wants to stay at Liverpool then don't be a cry baby 😢
@AshleyJames-ss6ip I just have a problem with the front office allowing the pressure of the contracts to be a distraction to the amazing start Slot has had. Once January 1st rolls around, that pressure is going to REALLY ramp up.
@@stevewilton8215 but maybe the players have out priced them self , I believe Trent has , Salah did this last time contract time saying I'll move to a rival , no loyalty , an let's be true , Liverpool turn him in to the player but like couthino, we move on ,
Like I said if we had the chance of 1 staying VVD , we can always get another Salah , Trent replacement is already here Bradley, better Defensively, but VVD are rare ,
I love all three to say ,
But Salah always cry , pisses me off ,
If Salah wants money go PSG a shitty league or the Saudi 💰 ,
No player is bigger than Liverpool, at 32 yo , one injury can Finnish him ,
He needs to ask him self money or Records ?
@@AshleyJames-ss6ip If you were working in a company, were the best employee, delivering year in year out and your employer does not value you, would you like that mate?He is not crying. He is just disappointed which is totally understandable.
Because he's a coward who receives a big salary to do nothing. That's the reason.
Club has to be bigger than agents, which salah says he is out of negotiating greedy agents
He's "AT" His peak. But he's got atleast 4 great years left!
