    Lovely, simple clear and practical. Speaking of love, as well as awareness and peace, I am noticing a feeling of love arising in me, not romantic love or familial love, something else that is very self-fulfilling with a feeling of coming home. Sometimes there are tears as something releases and opens. It is mysterious and wonderful.

    Hi Sunny, Thank you for sharing.
    My personal practice in Silence leads me the following;
    The person I take myself to be has become something more fluid and less in control, therefore it seems to be getting out of the way of me being, and doing what I choose to do in any given moment with a deeper sense of peace and fulfillment.
    So if I "mentally" understand correctly, this is more or less the effect of being more of the witness in my daily life?
    Thank you!

    Hi Sunny, love from Montreal ❤. I watched to the end😊. I find that I can go deeper if I exercise right before. I have a punching bag and do a mere 5 minutes, but it helps me to let go of all frustrations etc, because I've already punched them away. I've always done progressive muscle relaxation but I find it's hard to truly let go and surrender because I'm actually "doing" something with an end goal and not just "being". What are your thoughts on PMR? Thank-you

    Hey sunny. Love your content. One thing I'm struggling with is feelings..not thoughts
    I reached a state of flow after six months of gestalt therapy.
    I broke through all my anxiety and into a place where I couldn't be harmed and there was no thought or fear.
    But I got their by being allowed a safe space for my FEELINGS, not thoughts
    It took six months to push apart all thought until it was my eyes and the counsellors eyes. Her being moved at my effort to heal hit me very deep and immediately stopped all anxiety.
    All I had to do was think of her eyes, her empathizing genuinely with me. It was not words . It was her seeing me for who I am and accepting me.
    You seem to be saying , dial in on the subtleties of feeling..just notice it.
    Is that correct. I'm trying to understand.
    Unfortunately for me, the therapy worked for two years but then through a high stress job and not being safe in the outside world, the cptsd kicked in.
    I had that sensation you talk about...it felt like me...but I think I was identifying with source.
    This is where I'm losing the thread here with you. I'm trying to understand to heal. Love your work.
    But I'm just confused about end point.
    Is it non reactivity or just uncovering and cleaning away thought until it's " you". The being...the entity ...and what is that entity, because I felt like a bliss. I identified with that bliss in a safe way...
    Imthe awareness felt embodied is what I'm trying to say.
    Any clarification would be great.
    I got to peace for two years from allowing deep feeling and no thought

    Thank you for the video Sunny.
    So if a very deep level of meditation is going beyond the perception of physical objects, even beyond the perception of physical sensations, emotions, and thoughts, then would not the ultimate form of meditation be deep, dreamless sleep?
    And if so, then the next question becomes why meditate at all?
    Why not just take a 20-minute nap?

    • @brianlittrell797
      @brianlittrell797 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A better description would be the ultimate meditation is an aware deep sleep. But that isn't it. It is more like experiencing being everything that exists simultaneously. It is experiencing being Source, The Creator, All That Is. It is expansion of your sense of self to experience The Oneness, The Unity, the bliss, the essence of life and all it's infinite forms simultaneously.

    Sunny could you please talk about the various aspects of ego. I feel that ego operates at various layers and when you talk about ego I think you miss the other aspects. Sometime it's difficult to find the “ me element” in some operations that hurts

    • @selfinquiryschool
      @selfinquiryschool  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Which aspects are you referring to that you would like to hear more about? :)

    • @oliverbird6914
      @oliverbird6914 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'd love to understand emotion as part of ego.
      Are you saying don't identify with emotion. Don't react?
      I know repressing feelings causes me deep anxiety. Because I've felt this presence you talk of I think.
      It was bliss. Does bliss mean I'm still in ego.
      It felt like being a child again .
      I got there through gradually being accepted, letting my guard down. It made me realize how much repression of your " self" causing such terrible anxiety.
      So I guess I'm confused . Where do true feelings stop being ego?

    9mo's meditating100min/day 7 days a week - 450+ hrs. I can attest meditation does nothing. Good faith effort. Either it's BS or there's a certain psychological disposition for who it works. If you're not getting anything after 40 hour's logged - quit. "full mind identification - I feel bad" -> 9 mo's later "full mind identification - I feel bad but I'm observing it". Yeah, I'll pass - and it wasn't for a lack of trying. Unsubscribed.

      I think meditation is more of a tool of understanding, it won't just magically fix any underlying issues.

    • @brianlittrell797
      @brianlittrell797 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It sounds like you were doing a form of meditation that does not personally "work" for you. It also sounds like you were being goal oriented and very attached to an outcome. Which is the OPPOSITE of what meditation is. One form of meditation not helping you doesn't mean all forms won't be helpful. The essence of meditation is simply giving your attention to the present moment and letting go of an ulterior motive for meditating. LET GO of WANTING something to HAPPEN and just give your full attention to whatever IS happening RIGHT NOW. That is meditation. If you do several different forms then that is sometimes much better than doing just one or two forms. It is probably helpful to practice for JUST 20 minutes a day. ALSO, if you feel bad and ONLY observe those feelings without fully moving your awareness into the center of those bad feelings and then embracing them with acceptance then those bad feelings can't change because you are observing them and RESISTING them instead of loving them. What you resist WILL persist. It is love plus awareness that heals. So observing alone isn't necessarily going to be enough to heal the bad feelings. Awareness plus love. So loving kindness meditation or self compassion meditation or gratitude and appreciation meditations might be more effective. Practicing mindfulness in ordinary mundane moments as much as possible is also very powerful and healing.

      ‘Meditation’ is many things. Concentrate on simple ‘presence’ perhaps.
      Try a different approach such as listen to Eckhart Tolle initially until you get a sense of presence
      -just offering a suggestion as you sound frustrated
