  • Here's how to stop identifying with your thoughts and lose belief in mind. I have a 4-step process for you which if you follow, will help you dissolve mind identification and expose the non-existence of the personal self.
    Here are the 4 steps:
    Step 1: Know you are not choosing your thoughts
    Step 2: Realize that the thought and thinker are one
    Step 3: Don’t let thoughts claim identity
    Step 4: Notice that the witness("I") never appears as any particular thing

    This video has solved an issue for me that I've had for years !!! to the point that I tried to suppress thoughts ( yes, I know , can't be done) as so many keep coming and it's an endless stream. To "know" that it's not me creating them, I have no choice on the content, etc is liberating! - thank you very much, Sunny. Let the thoughts come and go. I'm more at peace now , with them.

    Throughout the day, in normal day to day life and interactions, as you mentioned, we allow ourselves to function as the ‘I’ (the fake self). This appears to be where we struggle because, if we allow this, for such long periods of the day, it’s no wonder why it becomes more dominant than the ‘real self’.
    When I interact with people I try to pause slightly and imagine I’m speaking from the heart area of my chest. This allows me to be a little more considered in my communication and responses with others as opposed to answering spontaneously to questions in general without a filter.
    Hard to do though due to us giving so much free ride to the ego in day to day life.
    Meditation twice a day is certainly a start to become more aware of our true self but to be able to operate on this level 24/7 (in the busyness of ‘life’) is what we all strive to achieve but very difficult.

    It follows suit for me to continue inquiry:
    Who is liberated?
    It’d sure be awful if we were the thinker tho, however, look in any direction and we can see the incredible impact of people that identify as the thinker.
    Wars, greed, hatred and endless delusions.
    Thinking happens, myriad factors are involved.
    There is either too much thinking or not enough. I’m any case the result is suffering.

    The part where you challenged us to stop thinking reminded me of watching the scene in Ghostbusters as a child. They had to “empty their heads” to stop Gozer choosing the form of the destructor from their thoughts. I remember being annoyed when they blamed Ray for thinking of the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man because how can you just stop yourself thinking thoughts?!
    I think even back then I had the sense that thoughts just happen.
    *random musing, apologies!
    Exceptional as ever Sunny!

    Hi sunny, I feel kind of confused between self inquiry/ re discovering who I truly am. And mental health. I definetley understand now how free I am in my true nature and how there is actually no suffering. The belief in identity, and the mind cause so much unwanted pain. But the mental health aspect is still affecting my everyday life greatly. Fear, anxiety, insomnia, limiting beliefs and that voice in my head. It feels like I oscillate between my true nature presence and personal identity. Sometimes it feels like I’m entangled in that identity in everyday life. Do both aspects go together spirituality and mental health? Is it good to go for therapy and continue what I’m doing or will therapy reinforce the identity? Thank you for uploading such amazing content❤️

    This makes sense. Because if I was choosing my rhoughts.....every thought would be positive, empowering and nurturing. So yes i am just now analyzing and realizing its true i am not choosing my thoughts. Then who is choosing my thoughts is the question. And why does it so strongly automatically feel like i am choosing my thoughts? Why that automatic deep feeling of choosing is there? Whats going on. Cause it only common sense i am not choosing. Why the heck all these years did i not realize this so extremely simple and absolutely blatantly obvious reality. Someone does NOT want me to know. Thats why. Because Maaha maya does not want me to know i am not choosing my thoughts. Its a game (maya mind trick).

    • @yogagooo7707
      @yogagooo7707 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      So, clearly it must be conditioning that is choosing my thoughts. Thats only logical. Like 2 plus 2 is four. Its just so so plainly obvious that thoughts themselves are the inner sanskars (scars), (mental emotional inner scaring) or bio/psycho/chemical reactions from life events that happen randomly. Inner audio recordings of actual life events that happen from previous life experiences. Thoughts are likely from a biological recording type of response to life events. Like animals have instincts to act. Humans have inner recordings of events. Like muscle memory recordings. Inner recordings of the facts that happened to and around a person. Not at all personal. Just like a tape recorder. Inner verbal recording going on. The muscles record the life events. And the words that were taught as language just interpret rhe muscles recording of that life event and store that life event inside in the form of the language that was forced upon the person at a young age. That is why there are audio recordings inside and not just visual memories.

    First of all, thanks for all of your videos. I, a lifelong musician, when trying the first experiment, was thought-silent for a bit and used my ability to hear music that has never existed before while no verbal thoughts appeared. Then, however, the first thought appeared describing the music I heard. I mention this to wonder if listening to music in head, not from memory but new sounds, is a form of Not Thinking or just another thought. No thoughts are vocal in my head in these brief states.

    Is there an experiencer apart from experience ; a knower of pain/ disease/disability apart from the claim of pain/disease/disability? Chronic pain does claim to be a self. It does say "i". Every belief is saying "i", claiming subjectivity. The "body" says "i". The body is nothing other than so called sensations and feelings. Feelings and sensations are not just the objects of perception. They are claiming "i". It is the level of identification, i.e., the degree of energy with the identification that determines if sensation, pain, disease, disability are experienced as subjective, as "i".

  • @pvgopiabnle
    @pvgopiabnle 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just wonderful🥰 but one doubt.
    " being aware" that
    " iam " is also thought?
    The experience that i exist is at a thoughtless state?
    If yes, at which point in a daily routine a human being experience it?
    Or any desciplne is necessary to experience it?
    May be iam asking this since i never noticed or experienced such a state till this moment 😥
    Rather my question may be:
    Is there an " i " at all to experience itself in the absence of thought?
