The biggest diffence in the UK, is we have do deal with alot of one time passwords, age restricted products, we're meant to knock and wait for every customer to come to the door and the roads are tiny, making parking and driving almost impossible in most areas.
Very interesting video! I deliver in the UK and what amazes me the most is how different the delivery process is between here and the US - over here we have to hand the parcels to the customers but over there they pretty much doorstep everything :P
It’s interesting to see, I’m an Amazon delivery driver in the uk and about 50% of the time I drive an electric van which has 80 miles range, I have on average 240-300 parcels and 160-180 stops, we don’t get out of station until about 11:30 so we start quite late.
@@alexhatton1063 yeah true but at least for me I don't need much range on my routes. Usually get back with over 40 miles left even with the AC on in this heat haha. And yeah it auto locks way too quickly but I just always keep my keys on me so never had an issue
@@freddiekb1004 yeah some times it’s a good 30-40 minute drive to my first stop going on motorways, my DSP had to bring me a transit to finish my route otherwise it would have died, I keep the keys on me too and it somehow locked me out, I had to use my phone to get the window down so I could reach inside to unlock it 😂

Not only that but the van can get damaged too which can be costly to the driver. Not fair at all. Grate video, everyday is a new day to learn 😃
Hey I’m starting soon with FDL too. You much are they paying per day if you don’t mind me asking and did you rent out the van on weekly basis yourself? Please let me know as I’m with FDL too
@@alih4349 Hey Ali how you doing pal. Here is the information you requested. After background check you get 2 days paid class training at £90 per day. Then 2 day ride along then get your van. You be then given nessery routes for about a week. Fdl pay £125.85 + vat per day. Selfemployed. Paid weekly. Van is £170 + vat per week and you take van home. Work available 5/6 days. Start time between 11/ 11:20 Fuel is 27p per mile to your route and debrief. You get payed mobile data for work only. You may work for a day or 2 at dxm3 aswel in Rochdale. Also remember it's a hard graft with many parcels over 290/ 300 + Important. You will be paying £20 from your wages if you need rescue everyday. This is very bad 👎 to be honest I get rescue all almost everyday. Being type 2 diabetes it slows me down. I shouldn't get no more than 7/8 bags + 17/20 over flow I don't think i have a choice no justice :(

@@user-ch9db3ty3f im not entirely sure on that one I prefer a company with earlier start times mines we have to be at the parking lot at 6:15 and we start leaving to the station around 6:30 and we load up and when we done loading up it’s like 7:30am that we hit the road to our first stop
The United States is generally always a step ahead of the rest of the world regarding all things Amazon. Most key technologies are typically brought out in the U.S. first like the home delivery app or products and services like Amazon Echo features that are unavailable outside the U.S. market. It's that way with many U.S. tech companies though. The United States generally gets things first. Often a couple of years before it becomes available in the UK. Like with Apple right now. The Apple Credit Card has been a huge thing in the U.S. for a few years now. But it's still not a thing outside of the U.S. market. However, it will likely come to other countries. The Google Home (Nest Hub) was available in the U.S. for nearly 1.5 years before it came to the UK. And even then the UK counterpart didn't have all the features of the U.S. version. I know that this makes people outside of the U.S. often jealous of us because they can't gain access to the cool new features at the same time as us. I hear it online all the time. And I totally get their frustration. 😅
Epic work my dude😎
