Happy july 4th, everyone! this is my take on horowitz's piano solo ver. of sousa's "stars and stripes forever". I took the Pellisorius edition of the transcription and made a few edits based on his 1948 encore performance. I regard your talent as stupendous. And such taste and refinement in rubato and articulation. Gosh!!!!! You have given us the name of your sound engineer, I believe. But what is your own name, please. And where are you currently located?
Great tone! Truly feels like a march with different instrumentation. Looks like a blast to play as well, even though pretty difficult. Would you care to share the edits that you did to the score?
I admire you AND your talent for taking on so challenging a project. I heard Horowitz play live several times and comprehend the awe. That said, I'm sure you know the C.Hall encore of 1948 was just 3min 35 sec compared to 4min 20sec in your splendid version, or 45sec faster pace/tempo. While it is NOT a race, I'd like to encourgare you to work on getting it as far under 4min. as is humanly possible. CONGRATULATIONS!
I watch piano played so well like this and am just disgusted at my sheer inability to make my hands work in isolation of each other, making it impossible for me to even be remotely good at the piano no matter how much I practiced.

Um, did they have to break his hands to get him to do this?
Very clear and clean, bravo !

素晴らしいです。
本家のホロヴィッツの演奏より丁寧な弾き方で聴きやすいです。

I want to learn this but so many big jumps
It was soooo rude that Horovitz made his famous version ...It´s SO difficult to play... But - you did it very well.. !
Cute 🥰

*can't believe i thought it was Yunchan Lim until i checked the comments* 😂😂
you should post more Chopin. Can you play the polonaise op. 53 A-flat major ?

O
非常に丁寧だけど遅すぎる。この編曲はある意味下品で、芸術性を求めていない。ホロヴィッツ自身の空中分解しそうなパフォーマンスの演奏がやはり最高。
Хорошо бы-раза в два быстрее....для начала...
Why? His brilliant tone seems indicative of the result of knowing the Russian School of Technique.
А это нужно? Это вообще марш. Задумайтесь…☝️
