I grew up hearing this, learning to waltz to this. I nearly wrecked my car one day because of it. I was on my way to work and a new song came on the country station I was listening to. It sounded so familiar, I kept thinking, I've heard this somewhere. The radio was playing TG Shepard "Last Cheaters Waltz". It dawned on me it was Westphalia Waltz. Nooooooooooo.
Nice. Very individualistic! It's got elements of Texas Swing, lots of upbowing...Hmmm...Cape Breton style perhaps? Slides, doublestops and trills...WOW!! I'm studying...TY- subscribed!
