recently i find myself revisiting all these VK bands from my teens, and even some that i remember but i was never really much into. all these years later i feel like i see why Diru was so quickly perfectly positioned to be the biggest international VK act, because they are really talented musicians. thats not a dig at other VK groups, but they really cut a unique swath for themselves. aesthetically particularly in the early VK days (everything before Vulgar/Withering...) they're really unmatched. Dir en Grey and Malice Mizer have my vote for best of the best, both musically and in terms of having a totally unique visual identity which undoubtedly inspired many other sort of copycat bands to come.
it’s a bit ironic considering diru started out as a bit of a copycat band themselves, if you look at a lot of their early stuff and even in La:Sadie's Kyo takes heavy influence from Kiyoharu in his looks. A lot of songs from Gauze sound like Kuroyume ones aswell, Cage for example being similar to Toge (even in name), although they definitely came into their own in the span of it

@@daoyang223 Diru nowadays isn't really a deathcore nowadays. Sure they had their deathcore influences but they so their own thing and that's why I love them .

I just noticed kyo has glitter eyeshadow, that's pretty cute XD seems that is all for this one. I'll see if I can manage to go through mazohyst before I soak the lyrics booklet with my sweaty hands... what a curse.

I can appreciate it more now, although I still sometimes feel like Kyo sings about topics that are hard for him to fully understand, given he's not a female. He obviously has grown a lot since this song and he's older and wiser now.

I’m curious about the costume, I’m wonder did Die feel uncomfortable with the costume he wear, because base on what I’m used to wear as a cosplayer he wear leather costume and also the PVC leather clothes, I feel like hot and uncomfortable wearing it and he had to wear it during the Music VDO in every shot 🥵 for me I would not be able to torelate for more than one sec
Nope! I actually did that to fill in the black bars that would otherwise be there. My other option would have been to stretch the image to fit the 16:9 screen size, but that would have caused distortion of the image, so I went with this instead.
