I love watching these videos - so relaxing and inspiring! I am about to restart my first full-coverage piece for the third time. Instead of the aida that came in the kit, I'm going to try with a gridded fabric, and I got a digital copy of the pattern to try using PatternKeeper instead of the paper chart. Hoping the third time will be the charm!!
Halloween and 'trick or treating' has become more popular here in Australia in recent years. There was a backlash earlier this year when one of our big supermarket chains decided to stop selling 'Australia Day' merchandise. Flags, stickers, hats, stubby holders, tea towels etc. But they have a big display of Halloween merchandise, costumes, spiders webs, spiders, masks, and of course pumpkins. Go Figure.
Great to always c ur videos. I just ordered 2 HAED kits with 14 count Aida. There gonna b massive. I ordered the thread for “12 sided dice fairy” 88 colors so that’s the one I’m starting first. Then “Doorway” next with 90 colors. How would b the best way to start them.?? I work off the paper patterns cuz I can’t figure out how to use Markup R-XP on my iPad. Happy Stitching 🎃✂️🧵🪡❤️
I personally liked to start in the upper left corner when I worked from paper so there’s no chance of grabbing the wrong page. Apart from that, any way you like! I used to pick the colour with the most stitches per page as that gave me the most landmarks to work from. I would highlight what I was going to stitch in yellow, then once it was stitched I would go over it with another colour highlighter so I’d know what was stitched and what wasn’t. Enjoy the journey 🥰
Wall-hangings are not that hard to make. I have a Fabricland membership too. I just bought some thermal batting there recently in order to turn an FO project into an FFO project soon.
