I love Stamped Cross Stitch. I am elderly and my mind slips occasionally so Counted Cross Stitch can be extra challenging. Stamped Cross Stitch allows me to continue stitching even when I'm sundowning. Oh and I love Star Trek too...

My husband snored bad. He went to the VA and they ran tests and it showed he had sleep apnea. He was bad about using his machine. During all this testing I quit work and ended up on disability. Not having to get up in the morning to go to work I started staying up late. My husband was still working so he decided to sleep in another room not only because I kept waking him up for snoring but because I was a night owl. His snoring was so bad that my son whose bedroom was downstairs beneath my room could hear him. My son asked me one day how I could stand the noise. I said to him you notice we sleep in separate rooms now.

Thanks for another awesome video! I watched this while mostly gridding for my first full coverage piece :) I can't wait to start it.

Gemma, if you only enjoy 90% of the stitches then, for this piece at least, there would be 30K stitches that you didn't enjoy because they gave you some sort of problems. That's a lot, more than some people stitch in total. Even 99% would leave 3k bad stitches.

Beautiful patterns, lovely stitching

I don't mind spoilers mostly. Especially in books, I will read the end to make sure it has a good ending before I continue reading the book. All because of "Gone with the wind", almost 1000 pages to end with an open ending. That horrified me. Never want to read a book with an open ending (unless there is a series of books).

Do you stitch in hand?

I have a huge peacock printed canvas probably 3 ft long that is done in beads. I’ve had it for some time but have yet to start it. One of these days 😂😂😂 I also love to read. When Outlander first came on STARZ I got the first book Outlander and it was fairly large. I think over 1000 pages. I loved it so proceeded to get the others. My problem is even though these were huge books I’d finish them in 1 or 2 days. That was fine as long as there was another book in the series available. I’ve read the first 8 books 9 times. Yeah can you say addicted.😂😂😂😂 But every time I read the books I’d catch something that I’d missed the previous readings.

I wish it was easy to find 16,18 and 20 count in bulk at a reasonable cost, with these bulk stores like Joann and Hobby lobby would carry it on a bolt

I think we as a species have seasonal amnesia. We forget how warm it gets in the summer and how cold it gets in the winter every year and I guess the same can be said for driving in bad weather. Here where I live in Central Scotland we don’t get the deep snow as often, maybe every five years or so we’ll get a decent snowfall, and every time there’s lots of abandoned cars blocking the rods because people forget how to drive in snow.

Really great tips! I'll be using some of this to be sure.

I put bloom from haed away for a bit due to getting bored of seeing all the blue colours . She will be finished at some point 😊 but there is no point doing it if you dont enjoy it .

These colors are so stunning! I'm working on some boring blues today, managed to get 130 stitches with you :) thanks for the video!

I really like all the purples. One of my favourite colours. So I guess DMC 327 ( meatball on a skewer ) will be removed from your working tray soon.

You talking about the Christmas pudding and the traditions around it reminded me of a story I saw about Ethiopia. In Ethiopia, when a bride and groom get married, everyone in the village is happy about it except for the bride and groom. The couple is not told when or who they are going to marry until that hour before the wedding! The whole village is happy about it bc there will be additions to the village and of course, they get to party but the bride and groom are NOT happy. They have NO warning, "Hey, your life it about to be over". The groom gets a little warning bc the parents have to prepare a place for the bride to live in their house but the bride gets no warning at all. The village people, they think it's funny when the bride and groom gets upset and they make jokes about it. They make light of it and laugh. Isn't that awful?

I think making a big deal out of New Year's is kind of silly. To me, it's a number on the calendar. Also, I don't feel the need to wait for the year to change to make a commitment in my life either. That's great for those who enjoy it. It's not for me.

I have Vertigo and I have ringing in my ears quite frequently. The low humming I can most of the time manage because Ive gotten a litttle used to it but the loud shrill noise is so unpleasant. I have to use a nasal spray because sometimes there is water behind my eardrums. That does help a lot but the high pitch noise makes me want to pull my head off. Its awful so I know how you feel.
