I was born in the late 50s, meaning that I grew up with some fantastic, extremely talented, musically skilled, wonderful vocal/harmonizing groups (before any kind of computer/AL enhancements). Bloodstone, indeed, being one of my favorite all-time group. I think I had every one of their albums! In saying this, pls listen to HOW DOES IT FEEL by Bloodstone. I'm glad to see a young person enjoying the music of my time/yesteryears. NOTE, other groups/singers: early Isley Brothers, Enchantment, Cameo, Average White Band, Curtis Mayfield, Mother's Finest, New Birth, Angela Bofill, Phyllis Hyman, GQ, LTD, O'Bryan, Dramatics, The Ohio Players, Harold Melvin/Blue Notes, The Manhattan...just to name a few! ❤
This is why I love to watch your videos JT. Your initial reaction... "I don't even know you... That's tough" made me laugh. The manner in which you said it seemed to have a entirely different meaning to it. We are living in blessed times. The video of Bloodstone is crystal clear. And the audio catches every vocal and musical instruments. I'm amazed at how you noticed his vocal acrobatics. That's what we (Old Schoolers) call Soul.
Yep yep another track I heard growing up doing my parents get together playing Spades lot of loud talking and laughing and music parents and Friends slow dancing to this Good Times
Hi JT, love this song ! You should check out the Chi-Lites ! Here are some songs I’m sure you will like ! Have you Seen her , Oh Girl, The coldest days of my life , A Lonely Man,, Try my Side of love , Homely Girl , It’s Time for Love !
If you really wanna get the full effect of this song. Play this on a summer night with one window is yielding a nice evening breeze & depending on the ambiance of the nights light, with a beautiful sky view.
One of my favorite songs from back in the day and a song that we used to sing at talent shows. You should react to the smooth sounds of the TEMPREES singing "Dedicated to the One I Love" and the smoothest song ever called "What's Come Over Me" by BLUE MAGIC.
Hey JT, This song "Natural High" by Bloodstone (Not "The Bloodstone") was "The Joint" slow jam to dance to back in the day and still today you can "Slow-Drag" with your loved one to this classic!!!
I think that you would enjoy hearing the man I mean the enchantments I've been trying to get one of you young people to listen to the enchantments and no one has stated on several young people podcast the enchantments
Baby making music. The establishment changed our music to stop us from reproducing. I know because you would always see strollers and baby carriages up and down the street all the time. Mother's were stopping to have baby conversations. Mother's were out doors chill''n at the park with their babies. Now I hardly see any...... smh.
Damn! Middle school dance...among the BEST slow dance music ever!! 1970s were the BEST decade for music!
This song still sounds good all of these years later.
Amazing talent at a time of no technology! Always loved this song ❤
