This is one of those masterful Jams my mother used to play all the time! I still say today that the music my mother and older relatives had is the greatest music ever created on this earth!!
I agree with you I am so glad that some of your generation is getting into my generation of music and I love it my generation is when music was music PLEASE don’t let my music die.
My mom played this song when I was kid back in 1972-73, and she played it until the wheels fell off!!! Missing mom dearly and thanks for the great memories of the best music ever. Rest well mommy!
This was the jam, that ended the house parties. We always ended with a slow jam. Ashley is doing an outstanding job. She get's a ticket, to that midnight train to the 70's. But to my 70's O.G.'s, send Ashley the ' live ' performances. Please! Bloodstones ' live ' performance to this classic. Bloodstone live,,, and watching them perform, is priceless!
Ms Ashley that lovely facial expression made me subscribe. This is real music. I am 69 and we always rap to women in a song. Thank you, the extended verison is even colder
Hi Ashley. I love your honest and emotional responses to songs that you play. Bloodstone is from my hometown of Kansas City,Mo.I see the lead singer Harry almost every week. They are still touring around the United States. Keep up the good work.
Ashley, this song was the perfect deep dive. The way they worked in a bit of Jazz in the middle ~ tradecraft! Otherwise, old school R&B Motown, the kind that came out the end of the Doo-Wop era. Love your taste in music. This song here, nobody is listening but they should. This song is a sleeper. Only special people get to listen to it:)
Ashley, when I saw you were reacting to this classic I knew this was going on the playlist!😂 And yeah, we definitely slow danced to this joint! Loved your reaction as always. And your comments are so true. Much of the music today doesn't touch the soul like these old school songs.
Yes indeed, Bloodstone got a few jams for you to check out, but I would suggest you check out "Outside Woman", which is a cold-blooded slow jam that tickles me to death, because he's so brazenly singing about his love for another woman AND his wife & kids at home! lol The subject is so bad, that the song is entertaining, because the lead singer is still killin' it despite what he's singing about!......Anyway, Good reaction!
I AGREE WITH YOU 100%CAN YOU PLEASE DO AN REACTION TO BLOODSTONE-"How do you feel", "Go on and cry",We go a long way back","Never gonna let you go". These are guarantee to go on any QUIET-TIME list!!!!
No these songs today are about having sex,,,,,not making love,,,,,, there's a huge difference,,,everybody wants to rap and copy everybody ,,,,,, I don't get it,,,, I'll just keep to this Ol School Music....
Teenage Funny Story. Men and Women sometimes hear things in songs a certain way. Just before the chorus (...And I'll take to the sky...) We had a HOUSE PARTY almost every weekend somewhere in Charles County, Md. in the late 70's. There is a DEEP male exhale before that chorus. While slow dancing to this song with the lights turned down low. Someone let out that exhale in the crowd the first time. The second time several more guys did it. And it got a few chuckles. The third time EVERYBODY DID IT !!!! And some girls started saying " UH-UH...Yall stop that !!! It is 10 degrees outside and yall got my draws soaked !!! Things actually happened at 70's house parties that we still laugh about today. But when you go back to the old neighborhoods and look at the houses we had fond memories of. You ask yourself. "Did we really have 60+ people in that basement and a D.J.???
this was real music, real bands who played instruments, no cap!no lip singing on tour,u couldnt cheat music!i grew up on it and still rock it cruising down the highway doing it the old school way🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You play more of these types of songs than all the TH-cam reaction channels that I know of, Ashley. What I mean by 'song types' is the 'like' I give to them. I used to think this was Tower Of Power. But I think it's a compliment to be mistaken for The East Bay's own Tower of Power. Songs like "Natural High" by Bloodstone give me a 'natural high'.
The establishment changed our music to stop us from reproducing. I know because you would always see strollers and baby carriages up and down the street all the time. Mother's were stopping to have baby conversations. Mother's were out doors chill''n at the park with their babies. Now I hardly see any...... smh.

Ashley you are doing the doggone thang...This group had numerous classic hits that will stand the test of time.
Music paints a picture, then we frame it in our mind!! The 70's was nothing but a musical paradise!! #MightyMighty70s🔥🔥🔥💯
Ooooooo
One of the most very beautiful songs ever written and performed. Ashley nails it.
Oh man! My dad played that song so much that it is forever imbued in my memory. Great classic song.
I sang this to a lady by accident. Really, I was just groovin and singing along she thought I was singing to her. The end result was very nice!❤
Right on, brother. Love that
Ohhh yeahh

Love your expressions
At the age of 16 years old, I was a falsetto singer. Though a bit shy, my voice usually got me the attention I desired, though I didn't talk a lot.
Yea this song was played at the end of all parties back in the day.
You are my real deal. Love you and how you express true feelings about the music and the artist and drop true facts about to days music 🎶. ❤
