The IVT automatic transmission actually doesnt have "gear" ratios (even if indicated so) - these are just step up/down modes for the CVT system to hold on to.
Sir at 1:00 the gearbox mode shifts are not smooth like other automatic cars like kushaq etc. I think the hyundai is designed like this coz alcazar also its the same.

Paddles use karke aap puri gaadi ko manual ki tarah chala sakte ho. Creta me paddle shifters bhi hain aur Sports mode bhi hai, saari automatic gaadiyon me nahi hota hai lekin.

One can stop in any mode. Modes are there to decide how a car is driven..either performance centric(Sports) or mileage centric(Eco). You can pull the Electric break in same situations as would do in manual car. But as this car comes with creep and autohold one would seldome use them for hill start or hill driving. For other situations one can use park mode which acts similar as electric break. Only diff between park mode and electric break is that park mode needs to be manually shifted to D for driving, but Electric break is automatically disanged once you hit accelator.
I have a steep uphill climb at my relatives. How can I engage manual mode when car is stationary and then get sudden burst of power for climbing? Paddle shifters work when car is already running? Please advise.

Sir to use peddle shifters do we need to decrease acceleration when peddle shift (-) down and need to increase acceleration while peddle shift (+) like we do in manual transmission? Also to change gear modes from Drive to sports should it be done only when vehicle is in stop condition or can be done while driving also? Will it affect gear box if modes changed during vehicle running condition?

There is no requirement to increase/ decrease acceleration while using paddles, but as soon as you use paddles you will have to increase or decrease the throttle to maintain your speed like you do in a manual transmission. Changing from Drive to Sports mode while driving is fine and does not have any major impact if you do it occassionally.

It won't stall, that is the beauty. It also has auto hold function and hill descent control which automatically prevents the car from sliding on slopes.

Hey bro, Eco mode optimises your car for mileage by limiting the throttle response. Sports mode optimises for performance and punch but with a lower mileage. Comfort is the balance between two. Use Sports mode if you need quick acceleration and zippy response from the engine, use Eco for mileage and Comfort if you don't need any of the extremes.

Yes, in automatic vehicle there is always a minimal rpm. So, as soon as you put it in drive mode and remove brakes, it will start crawling. I have shown this in the video also.
Of course it has gears internally but not visible to user as in a manual car. To increase speed, you just press on the accelerator and the automatic drivetrain does the rest. Think of it as an Activa, you don't see the gear (like you see in a motorcycle).

No, it is not harmful. Paddle shifters once engaged automatically move it to S mode. You can see the drive symbol change to S from D
