Brian's reaction to your Di training will never get old. Also bless for the coaching session link. Chun is someone I really want to learn but haven't been able to wrap my head around yet.
I just wanna say, your ability to tell such a compelling story through these videos is incredible. I've watched the Sajam Slam already, and I saw you get to Master, so I know how this ends; but the way you tell the story of your journey getting to that point is legit better than a lot of movies I've seen lately. Great work, both in game and on these videos, can't wait to see more!
Getting all this inside info on your thoughts and process learning the game is so entertaining. It's fun to watch for a veteran player and I think a good resource for newer players to see that everyone has similar frustrations when learning but they can be overcome, I'm so invested :)
I'll be honest with you: Being new to the game may be more of a blessing than a hinderance. I'm an oldhead that admittedly never was GREAT, but I've not hit master yet and I've been playing since Street Fighter 2. Maybe not like 100% all-the-time, but since Street Fighter 4, it's been almost all-the-time. Major thing is, you found an insanely good training trick for yourself, and you got yourself to the top on your own efforts. There's nothing but praise to give.
I'm a washed Overwatch player and SF6 is my first street fighter game. I mained Luke until Ed came out, and watching you go from zero to hero has inspired me to keep grinding and even try to pick up a new character! thank you Ms Eskay Overwatch
This was really great. It's awesome to see the step-by-step process of someone getting into fighting game who's already skilled at other genres. Thank you for putting this together!
I started following you after the slam and i have to say these videos are so inspiring. I share them with the new players in my community, and it's really encouraging. Thank you so much for picking up Street Fighter and I hope to see you play the game again!
Just came here from Brian's Rivals video and learning you edited this vid (banger btw). Very cool documenting your SF6 training arc. Keep up the good work.
hey! nice to see those videos, I learned about you because of the sajam and brian team was so fun to watch I'm eager to see your progress on diamond to master so I can learn a little, maybe I can get there with your help 😅
Like learning any new hobby, it takes some work to get into the game. Though the price of admission was some tough groundwork, seeing as you made it to Master Rank, looks like it was worth the effort. I appreciate that you show your early days struggling, it makes the growth all the more personal and impactful. Dope video Eskay, hype for the next one!
you've actually inspired me to get back into street fighter! im currently bronze 3 and i keep losing to DI spam (skill issue) even tho i actually know how to play the game 😭
I love Brian, he's amazing. Have been following him for a long time even though I barely play fighting games but I really like watch tournaments and stuff (i play more OW, but i'm getting into KOF XV now). Never would imagine him coaching Eskay, that's awesome to see.
Also it's insane how people were trying to tell you all this complicated stuff when you couldn't do mk into legs, of course that isn't gonna help right then. Chat monsters don't seem to grasp what being a beginner beginner means even when they're watching someone rise up from rookie
My friend just introduced me to sf6 like the day this video came out, I wish I had gotten to see this sooner, watching this makes me want to put in the hours and learn this game. I've been considering picking between Rashid, Cammy and Ken. Hopefully I can have some time to learn and put in the hours like you!
Nice video! Cannot wait till the next episode! 😅i'v never played any fighting games but its been super easy to follow along and understand what makes certain moves difficult. 10/10
one of my favorite comments from the slam was when Sajam said "we basically gave Eskay the gamer nod and said 'you got this.'" They really had the utmost faith that despite having less time you'd be able to compete, and I'd say that they were correct with that assumption.
I hope you become a big marvel rivals content creator I love you Eskay You have an amazing personality and disposition I've been watching you since college
I'm inspired by you tackling a different genre while you are a pro in another genre. And of all characters, you pick the most complicated character and who coincidentally does some of the least damage compared to most characters. So, by comparison, all other characters will be easier 😎
I’m a diamond 5 Chun Li, and I neeeever get that medium kicks air combo right, it’s impressive that you pretty much never drop it, the timing is tight.
Hey I meant to mention this last video @eskay but would it be possible for you to upload that sound file for practing drive impact? I struggle with countering DI lol
For me the way i started getting quarter circle inputs consistently was to boot up training mode, do a learn a meter dump combo, and then once i started getting it around 50% of the time, I put on youtube on my other monitor and started only half paying attention to landing my combo, only locking back in once in a while. I think that helped me get it second nature.
I wonder if you're playing with a stick, leverless, or a gamepad. Depending on then, quarter circles may be easier. I think it's easier on the d pad instead of the left joy stick. Since she plays OW, maybe she's using the left joy stick?
i started playing street fighter after watching the slam. i placed rookie 4 now im teeter tottering plat 1 and gold 5. its making me angry. but i will try to stick with it. thanks for the unique tips
Yo i came for the marvel rivals guide but I actually love fighting games, am higher than average players in most games but ofc lower than pros... but I still got amazed by your training program? Idk how to call it but I admire the f out of you for learning Chun-li, I tried her and ended up leaving SF6 bc I got super lazy trying to learn her bc it was difficult, I lost my "motivation" to grind but this video was really great
the ranked grinder scene is so wierd to me since I'm 100% a casual who plays games for fun but it seems pretty cool to see your progress in real time and improve day by day instead of month by month
Most fighting games have a buffer for things like special moves similar to overwatch actually. in OW if i try to use an ability thats on cooldown by holding the button, i will use the ability as soon as its off cooldown. its the same in fighting games but there is a window. in most fighting games you can do inputs like oddp early and the game will do it frame perfect as soon as you get up.
Safe jump means you can do a jump attack to hit them but if they try and hit you with a wake up reversal you hit the ground in time to block it. So you’re safe to do an attack with no fear of being punished.
I was watching a diff vid and only learned u were trans now, went onto ur channel and read the newest video... yep, definitely trans lmao Side note: you pass so well, especially your voice, I've seen other trans girls say that voice training is really difficult so absolutely congrats on that
As a brand new player SF is a lot harder than Tekken. Mashing random buttons just works much more in Tekken than SF. But once you hit the intermediate level Tekken becomes much harder because there is just way more you have to learn and remember.
Girl the description 😭😭😭
is wild and i love her for it

Third Emily saying hi
She’s just describing her lifestyle that’s supported by her twitch subs. Nothing wrong with a little honesty 😂

Wild, yet completely believable title from Mrs EskayOverwatch
U simps are so cringe 😬
U simps are so cringe 😬😬😬😬
woag i didn't know eskay was married
I love how you say "I'm gonna do this" when going over your game plan. You don't think about trying, you think about doing.
puppy girls eating with this one
the term clicker trainiing activates something in my brain
"Puppy girl"?
How do I get one of those?
@@Maelthorn1337 You just sent me a DM. I'd go with anyone who asks at this point...
@Maelthorn1337 pick one up at r/puppygirlpetsmart yes that is a real subreddit

Lol, I am logging in for a twelve hour shift. 😂. I am enjoying your documentary on learning how to play Street Fighter 6. Very inspiring, for real.
I was so happy to see this in my feed! These videos are so inspiring thank you! :)
I love learning journeys like this, especially for hard games with high skill ceilings. Good on you for training so hard and doing so well!
Love it! This is exactly the emotional rollercoaster I'm going through right now, good to see I'm not the only one. Can't wait for the next part.
hey! nice to see those videos, I learned about you because of the sajam and brian team was so fun to watch
I'm eager to see your progress on diamond to master so I can learn a little, maybe I can get there with your help 😅
Yooo been waiting for the follow up, thanks for showing the struggles too - makes it feel more genuine :)

YESSS ive been waiting for part 2 >:D
These video diaries about your experience with Street Fighter 6 are so awesome to see! I’m very eager to see the next episode 😊
Damn, and here I am with just the regular clicker training. Maybe it could be used to motivate me...
you've actually inspired me to get back into street fighter!
im currently bronze 3 and i keep losing to DI spam (skill issue) even tho i actually know how to play the game 😭
turn up the DI effect volume to 100 and pavlov yourself to react to DI.
I love Brian, he's amazing. Have been following him for a long time even though I barely play fighting games but I really like watch tournaments and stuff (i play more OW, but i'm getting into KOF XV now). Never would imagine him coaching Eskay, that's awesome to see.
I am obsessed, watching someone go fromthe literal bottom to the heavens is so good, congrats!

I'm loving the street fight vids
I'm a new viewer of yours Eskay and I really like your fighting game content! Keep up the good work! ❤
Just got around to this and omg, this is incredible, plus the city girl music!!
My friend just introduced me to sf6 like the day this video came out, I wish I had gotten to see this sooner, watching this makes me want to put in the hours and learn this game. Great video, especially love the editing on this one!
Im glad to see more street fighter content on your channel :3
☝🏼about the description, where do i sign up?
I'll admit, didn't know about you until Sajam Slam. You held yourself pretty well in your matches, both you and Dokibird.
Nice video! Cannot wait till the next episode! 😅i'v never played any fighting games but its been super easy to follow along and understand what makes certain moves difficult. 10/10
So sick to see the early stages of your progress
Just started watching can't wait for next episode
Congrats. Have been stuck in Diamond forever.
Eskay is off her rocker with this one hahaha I love it
one of my favorite comments from the slam was when Sajam said "we basically gave Eskay the gamer nod and said 'you got this.'" They really had the utmost faith that despite having less time you'd be able to compete, and I'd say that they were correct with that assumption.
I was about to comment something amazing about the entire video + edit; but im reading the description and LMAO, 10 10
I hope you become a big marvel rivals content creator I love you Eskay You have an amazing personality and disposition I've been watching you since college
you're so amazing Eskay!! 🧡🧡🧡
I'm loving this!
this series is so sick
I'm inspired by you tackling a different genre while you are a pro in another genre. And of all characters, you pick the most complicated character and who coincidentally does some of the least damage compared to most characters. So, by comparison, all other characters will be easier 😎
Thank you for inspiring me to play this game thank you for this upload I was thinking back to getting into Street Fighter 6
Love these! I hope Sajam does another slam with you guys.
I’m a diamond 5 Chun Li, and I neeeever get that medium kicks air combo right, it’s impressive that you pretty much never drop it, the timing is tight.

Woo! Deadlock!
Great video. The description might make me send a welfare check over though.
I love ur vtuber model aww
3:20 "Honda Civic??"
Hey Eskay, you should try out Guilty gear! in my opinion is much more cooler both in style and gameplay. i wish strive is the next sajam slam
i agree she should play acpr
the ranked grinder scene is so wierd to me since I'm 100% a casual who plays games for fun but it seems pretty cool to see your progress in real time and improve day by day instead of month by month
I will steal that
the first no backseat title 😭
"I don't think I'm gonna play this game after"
she lied as easily as she breathed

its great that you learned what a wake up DP is but i still don't know wtf a safe jump actually does
bro me neither
Safe jump means you can do a jump attack to hit them but if they try and hit you with a wake up reversal you hit the ground in time to block it.
So you’re safe to do an attack with no fear of being punished.
31:25 undeafening during girl talk, deserved tbh
I was watching a diff vid and only learned u were trans now, went onto ur channel and read the newest video... yep, definitely trans lmao
Side note: you pass so well, especially your voice, I've seen other trans girls say that voice training is really difficult so absolutely congrats on that
Say-jum slam
it's so weird starting to watch this video know that she's already in master rank
Thanks 🎉
"Honda... Honda Civic?"

Where is part 3!!
You gotta join bleach rebirth of souls! Good luck with the climb
can you paste the step by step doc anywhere? Pleeease~
i had to buy a ps5 pro controller before i could reliably do quarter circle inputs
i dont think ive ever heard someone say street fighter is harder than tekken lol
As a brand new player SF is a lot harder than Tekken. Mashing random buttons just works much more in Tekken than SF.
But once you hit the intermediate level Tekken becomes much harder because there is just way more you have to learn and remember.
Lawdy! Chun Li's thighs got SO thicc in this game :O
