This has to be the BEST You Tube real estate video I have seen! I have no interest in moving to KL but I was unable to stop watching. I hope this will become a regular feature on your channel. Thank you!
Really enjoyed. I would like to see more like these from different cities/towns. My friend from there says to just rent for 1 month to year and then move to another condo to enjoy the different locations and amenities rather that straight out buying.
With the intention to live longterm and even purchase a property, it makes little sense to rent shortlease for one month. Most rental leases for expatriates in KL go from a 1 to 2 year lease with a so called expatclause (be able to leave after 1 year, in case or relocation for work or other reasons). Also pricewise a one month lease is relatively far more costly per month.
Nice realtor. Very knowledgeable he seems. Im not sure about moving to that country. But looks like a million dollar place to me. Thank you for sharing this video.
Would love to see you guys do a episode on the dollar homes for expats in Italy. Your channel would explode right now as half of America wants to leave. Love these home tours in any country. I liked the second one hands down the best one.
The UK couple from "Travel Beans" recently bought an old house in Italy. It's not 1 euro but they said it was "affordable". Those 1 euro houses aren't really €1 since they need a lot of renovation & you have to pay agent's commission + govt taxes. Also, buying property won't make you automatically eligible for EU residency. You can only stay in the EU/ Schengen zone for 90 out of 180 days. Buyer beware, do your due diligence.

These Condos in Kuala Lumpur were spectacular. The first Condo to me is a Wow factor. You guys did some really nice Condos in Equador. Equador is still probably better value especially by the beach.
Thanks JP and Amelia. This is a fantastic tour of properties and more of these please in KL (with Chris - he's so entertaining) and in each of your future countries. What I saw there in this video tells me that I should take a trip soon. The sofistication of KL with pseudo-British undertones is great. English spoken is perfect. And the healthcare system is EXACTLY what you guys need. Best regards from ATL
Guys you need to understand. In Malaysia you don't get ANYTHING included in new units. NO ac's no fans no lights no kitchen cabinets no closets...just 4 bare walls LOL. I know, my wife and I have bought several units during the last 20 years for living and as investments. As far as secondhand units they can be worth it, but you have to be careful as to the upkeep of the condo. If they have a good management company the common areas will be kept clean if not, it'll show. So, buyer beware.
If condos..yes. Most that are sold at RM300k above are usually semi furnished. In terms of quality expect them to be made in China products with weird brand names. It’s a miracle if it lasts more than 2 years 😊
As a full-time traveler for years and having lived overseas too . Date the place you like but don't marry it ..😊 In other words stay a renter , much cheaper and you don't have the hassles of building repairs and upgrades. Flexibility is key ! If you rent for a year or so and you really like the area then think about buying .... Just my 2 cents from experience..

No 1, for sure ... Loved the space, balconies, price and new public transport coming ... Hopefully, you could opened up the kitchen, new bathrooms and decorate ... Great video and English comedian / Realtor ... Thank you all 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
No, never knock down walls to open up the kitchen, unless it improves the layout in a dramatic way (from the photos, this one wouldn't) Open-concept plan was cheaper for contractors and builders, but takes away the elegance and privacy of having separate rooms. That trend is thankfully disappearing...
Hi Amelia&JP…nice video..Should check out Penang island properties especially the seaside condos…And there is a number of luxury condos just next to Glenagles Hospital too.
Thank you for an informative upload. Hello JP and Amelia did you guys have to fill out MDAC form before you go to Maysalia? We are traveling in 4/25 and heard that MDAC form has to be filled out before arriving in Maysalia.
It’s too hard to do rentals because the current tenants don’t like to be inconvenienced and have no reason to make the place look nice. And the agent gets little value for his time.
I like KL, but the fact that they require foreigners to spend at least 1,000,000RM/250,000USD when purchasing a property takes them out of the running for me.
Kitchen was fine in the 1st unit. Not my aesthetic taste, but I didn't see anything that wasn't usable and in good condition. Bathrooms must have been awful not to film them. The 2nd unit was nice. I have no interest in spending $250K USD on a condo anywhere. 3rd unit had an interior designer and all furnishings were professionally staged, and none of that is included (not even the kitchen sink, toilet, not the bathroom sink, not the flooring), so it would cost much more than. “Buying “ immovable assets in countries you don’t have blood citizenship in is risky. What happens if your Visa renewal is declined…??? it happens. The Chinese bought what was originally Freehold property & the Malay Government simply “switched” the Title to leasehold. Keep your Capital in blue chip safe havens & simply rent….it’s cheap & you can simply pack up & walk away & leave no skin in the game.
I love these real estates tours that you guys do. It is so interesting to see what kinds of options there are in these locations. And the cherry on top is that Amelia is always on camera 🤩
If you can live in Florida, Hawaii or the Caribbean, you will be comfortable here. Given time human body will adjust eventually to the surrounding. After all tropical weather can create a very green, relax, easy going life.
That first property is impressive but unfortunately for me, not 250K impressive. I can easily do with less "house" if that gets me down in the 100-150K range.
I think this is for those seeking residence visas through property investment which has a minimum of 1M Ringgit (~225K USD). If you're spending less you're either a local or renting
I apologise, we British have a tendency to over elaborate our 'Britishness' when there's an American in the room. Amongst ourselves we all talk normally. Hugh Grant syndrome is a very real thing.

The 2nd place I would live in the mother in law quarters and rent the main space.
the 1st one the design is really outdated. the 2nd one is awesome.
O.K. you left out some details. ... why are you house hunting in KL. Amelia hate the humidity. Hmmmm?
If you can live in Florida, Hawaii or the Caribbean, you will be comfortable here. Given time human body will adjust eventually to the surrounding. After all tropical weather can create a very green, relax, easy going life.
We’re TH-camrs and our viewers like real estate tours.
That first property is impressive but unfortunately for me, not 250K impressive. I can easily do with less "house" if that gets me down in the 100-150K range.
Foreigners cannot purchase a property in KL for less than 1million MYR - about $275,000.
For USD 100k, u have hundreds of choices.
Well it would seem that JP and Amelia are getting away from their life on a budget brand.
About a 100k too high imo.
u guys already get use with no shoes inside the house, how does that feel guys
Why would anyone want their home to be as dirty as the street?
Mcm mana org putih bole jadi ejen ? Sah ke ?
FYI there are international property companies in malaysia. Eg lend lease. They may work with local property companies.
@@MartinLim-q3z sah la sebab dia kerja denfan property di malaysia...
Is it LGBT friendly in KL?
Also, what does he mean expats "must spend $250k" Like is there a law or is he saying that is the minimum he suggest?
@@iamjoemomma2 A foreigner must spend a minimum of 1 million MYR on property in KL by law. To ensure foreigners do not price locals out of the market.
What no studio? Nothing more affordable?
I think this is for those seeking residence visas through property investment which has a minimum of 1M Ringgit (~225K USD). If you're spending less you're either a local or renting
Too damn hot!
1st one
So difficult to listen to this guy
I apologise, we British have a tendency to over elaborate our 'Britishness' when there's an American in the room. Amongst ourselves we all talk normally. Hugh Grant syndrome is a very real thing.
