Cee Bee It’s the Mountune Exhaust with a stock Cat. The Stage 1R is definitely worth the money, a lot more low down torque and power. The Cat-safe Crackle add on is definitely what makes the difference in sound though, so make sure you go for that too!
Falcon Trap the difference is night and day! The 1R is a lot more aggressive and there is a lot more low down torque. MP215 feels a little underwhelming due to the torque limit still active in 1st & 2nd gear, it doesn’t feel much different from stock.
My average was around 40 mpg. I do a mix of motorway and town driving with a fair few blasts on A & B roads in between. Hasn’t changed since I went to 2R either.
I’m not 100% certain but I was told Mountune’s exhaust is actually made by Miltek, just designed and developed by Mountune. I can definitely say my Mountune exhaust sounds great, has a really deep tone and doesn’t drone at all. Definitely got a lot louder and burbled more after 6-12 months of having it.
@@rmcarworld7060 the exhaust was around £500, I’ve since had the sports cat installed which was around £450. No drone at all and I use the car daily on motorways
I had the Cat Safe Crackle on for about 2 years with the stock cat. Never had any damage to the cat, passed its emissions test on the MOT both years with no problems. The only time you’ll damage it is if you go for the full crackle map, you need a decat for that. Been running the 2R with Cat Safe Crackle for nearly a year a year on a sports cat, no problems either.
I only use the Cat Safe map. Had no problems on the original cat or the Mountune Sports Cat, it passed all the emissions tests each year. If you use the full Crackle map it will damage the cat.
@@adamday9632 no, just the standard cat in this video. I’ve since had the Mountune sports cat fitted for when I upgraded to the 2R map. Definitely sounds deeper and more aggressive.
@@joshchadwick7648 it’s not as noticeable as Stock > 1R but it definitely pulls harder for longer in the higher revs. I messaged Pumaspeed and got it for a slightly cheaper price than advertised on the website, it was a 1R to 2R upgrade.
On the engine it’s literally just: Mountune Induction Kit Mountune Exhaust (w/ Stock Cat) Airtec Intercooler (w/stock charge pipes) The intercooler isn’t necessary for this map but it just helps keep the intake temperatures down in hot weather.
Bradz97 yeah, it’ll be fine! All you need is an intake, and to run it on 99 Ron fuel. The 2R requires a Sports Cat but with an adapter you can still run that map on a stock exhaust too. You just might not get the quoted figures.

@@omerakyuz3206 yeah, over 3,500 rpm it does light pops and crackles. Sometimes on gear changes over 3,500-4,000 too.

Have u had any problems with puma speed remap?
None at all. I ran the 1R map for approximately 2 years and now have the 2R map that’s been on coming up to a year and have never had a problem.
