Hi Jiahao! Yes, I agree! Seeing them added more fun to the whole experience! And thank you for watching my video! Hope you can check out my other videos too. Enjoy your day! 😊
Thank you TH-camr san. I was planning to take this train for my upcoming visit this spring. Didn't know the train also runs during the night, would be a nice thing to do as well. Hope you'll also upload the Sagano Romantic Train on night view too 😊
Hi Reyta! Thank you for visiting my channel and watching my video! I am really happy to hear that I was able to help you in my own small way. I do have a video of the night view of the Sagano Romantic Train. Here is the link: Sagano Romantic Train | Night Illumination | Autumn in Kyoto th-cam.com/video/Y6Aa8OtlaK0/w-d-xo.html I hope you can watch that too, and if you enjoyed them, it would really be nice if you could also like and subscribe to my channel. Thanks again, and if I could be of further help, just let me know. Enjoy your day! 😊
@@wheretonext1190 I've watched the night version, definitely will consider, glad I found your video. I just checked your channel, if perhaps in the future you'd do Osaka food recommendation other than Dotonbori area, would be much appreciated. It's really rare to find food options on youtube both from people who lives in Japan or visitor/tourist other than Dotonburi. Dotonburi is a nice place, but I believe Osaka has other area with their authentic local dishes. Keep up the good work 😊
Thank you so much Reyta for your kind words, and for your suggestion. I will definitely keep that in mind for my future videos. Admittedly, I am still a newbie with so much to learn in terms of quality of videos and interesting content, so I really, really appreciate it when I read comments like yours. Thank you so much again! Will really work hard to improve my channel for viewers like you. 💛
Hi Shawn! Thank you for watching my video! I am happy to know that you were able to book your tickets for autumn this November! You are really lucky since it is peak season then and a lot of people are also trying to book their tickets. I am sure you would have fun riding the Sagano Romantic Train and even exploring Arashiyama. For more useful travel videos, I hope you can also consider subscribing to my channel in case you haven't. Thanks again for watching! Enjoy your day! :)
Hi Geraldine! Thank you for watching my video and for giving such wonderful feedback! I really appreciate it. With regards to your question, depending on the direction of the train, I think the side nearer to the open greenery is much better. Although both sides are open and offer great views, you can take better pictures and videos from that side. My seat was 6A from Saga to Kameoka so yes, my vote will be for even number. 😊 I hope I was able to answer your question. In case you haven't, I hope you can also consider subscribing to my channel for more travel videos. Thanks again! Enjoy your day! 😊
Hi Effie! Thank you for watching my video and for your positive feedback. I really appreciate it. With regards to your question, yes, you can buy another ticket and get on the train again to get you back to where you started. As to the boat ride, as far as I know, the Hozugawa River Boat Ride (Hozugawa Kudari) has been temporarily suspended since 31 March 2023. But in case they resume their operations, the boarding area is about an 8-minute walk from JR Kameoka Station. I hope I was able to help you. In case you haven't, I hope you can also support my channel by subscribing. I have more Japan content coming up which you might find useful too. Thanks again Effie, and enjoy your travels! 😊
Thanks for sharing this. I'm amazed by the variety of train rides on offer in Japan. Need one suggestion: will this ride be scenic in April too? Regards
Hi Chirag! Thank you for watching my video and for visiting my channel. Yes, I agree. Japan indeed has one of the best train systems in the world, with so many options to choose from. With regards to your question, depending on which part of April you are visiting, the Sagano Romantic Train offers scenic views during both the Sakura season (usually end of March to 1st week of April) and autum season (mid Nov to mid Dec). You can still enjoy the train ride throughout the year of course, with the usual amazing views. Anyway, I hope I was able to help you in my own small way. In case you haven't, I hope you can also consider subscribing to my channel for more travel videos. Thanks again! Enjoy your travels! 😊
Hi! Thank you for watching my video! I rode the Sagano Romantic Train last 3 Dec 2022. It was ok during my daytime ride - I was just wearing a jacket. But during my night time ride, it was already a bit cold, especially that I was in the rich car with no windows. I saw a few people wearing winter jackets and even gloves, so you might want to consider bringing them too. I hope I was able to help you. In case you still haven't, I hope you can also subscribe to my channel for more travel videos. My Japan content will resume on Apr 22. I hope you can watch out for them. Thanks again and enjoy your travels! 😊
Hi Jaet, thank you for watching my video. With regards to booking seats, you may use the following link. www.westjr.co.jp/global/en/ticket/route_search/ You can choose the car and seats you like when you book your tickets. Just bring a printout of the email confirmation to a JR office when you arrive in Japan and they will give you the actual tickets. Alternatively, you can also buy tickets at the train station just before riding, but depending on the season, there is a big chance that tickets for the rich car are not available anymore. Anyway, I hope I was able to help you. In case you still haven't, I hope you can also subscribe to my channel for more travel videos. My Japan content will resume starting April 22. Thanks again for visiting my channel! Enjoy your travels! 😊

Hi Cecilia! Thank you for watching my video and for visiting my channel. With regards to your query, the whole Sagano Romantic Train ride, which consists of 4 stations, takes 23mins and cost JPY880. If you wish to take the Sagano train for only one station, that is Saga Torokko to Arashiyama Torokko (bamboo forest station), it would only take 3mins but the cost will still be JPY880. It is also just a 10-min walk. I hope I was able to answer your questions. In case you haven't, I hope you can also consider subscribing to my channel for more travel videos. Thanks again! Enjoy your travels! 😊
Hi! They must have their reasons why they named the train as Sagano Romantic Train. But yeah, thank you for still watching my video! I hope you can also consider subscribing to my channel in case you haven't. Enjoy your day! 😊

I was lucky enough to book my tickets for this upcoming November. Took me 45 minutes to get ticket each way.

Hi when did you take the train
I will be in kyoto 24 and 25 October, are the leaves usually autumn colours or will I be too early?
What month and day you visited in Sagano? I’m wondering how cold it is going to be. We are planning to visit 3rd week of December 2023
