I love how you talk about all sorts of things while you paint. I find it gives me this feeling of painting with a friend rather than watching a tutorial plus it makes it go a bit slower on the painting. The videos that just play the actual tutorial quickly and speed through the drying and some of the slower steps feel rushed.

i love that you talk throughout the video. I have a hard time keeping up with other videos. It feels like I am actually in a class with a teacher. I also love the encouragement throughout, "dont compare your art to others," "your value is not defined by the end product", "if you are a beginner, be kind to yourself." I got discouraged quite a bit and it motivated me to finish. I look forward to continue to learn more!

I just discovered this channel and am really enjoying it. I don't generally do watercolor, instead, I do cookie decorating and sometimes paint on cookies. Food color gel acts a lot like watercolor and watching your videos is helping me understand how to make my cookies look better.

I love this. I think I have enjoyed all your citrus projects so far. I want to try it again but do the leaves last because I loved painting the slices and wish I had more room for more slices (or I just need to do the citrus slice project again because its in my top 10 favorite of the over 100 of your projects I have painted). And I love the banter between you and Keenan. It makes me feel like I am painting with friends.

Suggestion, Can you could angle the camera so we can see how you are working your brush with water, paint and mixing colors? In this video we had a good view of what your were painting and your printed visual. Having said that, I really love the way you teach! Keep it up!

I lost count of the number of composition lessons in this...thank you LMA but quick question? i recently began painting with a group and I’ve noticed some looks when I rattle my brush in the jar or tell my paint to “come along little fella.” should I be concerned? anxious artist.
As long as the paint does not talk back you should be just fine.

My paint is sparkly! Is that normal ? Also how do I get my lines to not bleed. They look good when I’m painting then when I come back later they’ve all gotten fuzzy
Fuzzy paint can be caused by too much pigment on your brush. Try using a little more water on your brush. When you are trying to get very dark values you can also lay the water down first on the paper and then add the paint to it. Which paint are you referring to being sparkly?
Let's Make Art my whole painting has reflects in the paint. It’s subtle but I can see it when I move the paper back and forth. I like it just didn’t no if it was intentional
I had the same issue. My daughter noticed the sparkle and my painting turned out fuzzy too

"Do you see" is from Red Dragon. It drove me crazy after you said it and I had to google it. 🤪
Ok so... completely new to this... she is using paint brushes that do not come in the kits and it is not clear at all what type of paint brushes I need to buy to get started. If possible it would be helpful if you could simply list them in the text info. Thank you.
Sorry for any confusion this may have caused. Sarah uses a Round 2 and a Round 6 for almost all of our kits. On the ones she introduces new brushes she will make a point to say that those two brushes could also work. We do offer the brushes if you need them with a bundle pack of both brushes and the Butcher Tray like Sarah uses to mix her paint-or brushes may also be purchased separately if needed.
