Read “Crystallizing Public Opinion” by Edward Bernays written in the late 1920s or early 1930s… it’s exactly what the left is doing. Matt mentioning the “talkers” gave me one of the bigger pieces to the puzzle.

Matt doesn’t get it. The great majority only see 2 or 3 news sources that they follow, at most; they never see that 200 newsreaders are using identical words.
I think a point that may be missed by both these brilliant honest men is the apathy in civic discourse and politics in general is because of the media and the dem party that has shoved the dem agenda down our throats in entertainment, sports, social media, and of course the cable new networks who have over played the interest in politics by NOT reporting the news but trying to make the news from an obviously bias perspective and frankly much of America has tuned out which means these shitheads have won
The looks on the faces of the media talking heads when they went to them after the debate was priceless. Also, after the Trump hit. They delude themselves and others.
Repetition DOES effect people whether they are aware of it or not. Check out any marketing text. So the DNC puts out the word of the day - let's say, for instance, "joy" - and then their media activists all say it across many platforms from "news" shows to late night "comics" and, in a few days, if you ask regular people how they would describe Kamala Harris' campaign they'll say "joy" or "joyous" or at least have a positive view of the campaign.

Democrat leadership assumes we are at a 7th grade level or below when it comes to politics. Weird is ick. Nobody wants to hang with the weirdo and become a target for bullies. Weirdness rubs off. Those who function above that level are in on the plan and so they play along. Such a disappointing strategy.
The fact that people that are now saying weird that aren’t even on the Democratic side Jesse Waters is saying it Gutfeld is saying it I even say it because I hear it soooooooo much

People are pretty desperate for good news. The problem is, they often look forward to parroting bad news for others as good news, even though it's shallow or has little meaning other to be bad for the other side. The average person complains more than they talk positive. It's actually one of the best indicators of a marriage or relationship to fail is the ratio of good to bad talking points. One of these gents claims a greater share of talk time, and demonstrates more willingness to interrupt the other. And one receives a lesser share of talk time, in part because of the other's willingness to interrupt him.

Vivek and Matt are dynamite thinkers.
What a GREAT discussion! Awesome!
"You're weird."
"Isn't that just another way of saying diverse? Isn't that a good thing?"
“War is peace.
Freedom is slavery.
Ignorance is strength.”

PS Normal is weird.
I am ready for a #ProudToBeWeird movement. We could wear buttons that say "Weirdo" on them.
Embracing the insult, turning into a positive, is nearly always a VERY EFFECTIVE strategy.
reasonable minds like these two gents gives me hope!
Vivek is right; A lot of people are falling for the "weird" narrative.
It wouldn't matter what the narrative is, those people would believe it. Much more important is his connection to three-letter agencies and powerful companies with undue influence on the United States government...
Great discussion
Also, I’ve always called myself weird with pride
I always thought it was one of my unique features
People don’t listen unless you are saying what they want to hear!
Butting is "married" to a man and took 2 months maternity leave.. and his boyfriend runs a groomer camp
Does the "Keep Portland Weird" slogan come to mind?
The groupthink is strong in the Democrat party.
Like chickens following a laser pointer
Not nearly as much fun as cats!
But, I've heard chicken tastes better than cat!!
Rissiagate and COVID proved that a huge number of people seek to conform with the opinion leaders, even with obvious falsehoods.

lt happend in Germany the same way....
What’s possible panic? They are giving power to a younger generation of campaign advisors. Hence the childish nature of the word weird.
Repetive use of the word makes it stick
I'll take "weird" over "stupid" and "incompetent'|. any day.

MY question is who is feeding the same script to all the different media outlets and they all use it instead of writing their own?
build your whole power structure on crying wolf and watch it collapse in the presence of actual wolves.

Is it any different with the right leaning news ?
I find this collective labeling of everything being weird as quite queer.

I think the talking point issue indicates the general debasement of the democrat Party and its supporters.
Paid parrots, >150 times in 24 hrs. the word "weird" was used "concomitantly".
Homelessness in the richest country in the world is weird. Medical debt is weird. Only 2 weeks of paid vacation is weird.

Advertise the talking points before the media parrots them.
it is not argument, if it is repeated over and over again.
