Here's a thought: Perhaps part of the problem is that American's are indoctrinated into believing that their country is the greatest nation on earth regardless of all it's problems including those that are their's exclusively. Every country has its fair share of issues and every country has plenty of reasons as to why it's a great place to live. As an outsider, America is not among any of the countries that I would choose if I decided to leave my own country or to even visit. And plenty of people feel the same way.
