Nissan alcohol-detection sensors

Nissan has developed alcohol-detection sensors which may prevent drink driving.
The general manager of Nissan, Kazuhiro Doi saying:
"This system detects alcohol even if the driver drinks one glass of beer"

Will the circuit detect the perfume deo (alcohol contained) and will it detect only driver (and not passenger)?

if the driver drunk after starting the engine on road.....
engine will stops suddenly...on highway
now it is more dengerous then drunk drive na?????

Alcohol sensors fitments be made mandatory for all cars/trucks/buses. The sensor be placed at gear/steering/dash board.It looks sad ,police people are sniffing in India for checking drunken driving its huge number of police are put on such duties. Drinking & driving kills large number of people/animals.What need to be done alcohol sensor be connected in the circuit of starting/running the car as it will switch off the car instantly. Car will not run or start.Some modification be done so that other passenger consumed alcohol does activates the sensor.I tested once if person who has consumed alcohol sit in the rear with handkerchief on face then sensor remains inactivated.We also attached a red alarm ,multiple ways. Since 5-7 yrs I have addressed such a protocol at different level of State machinery but no action it looks the machinery not concerned about death & cases burden. Govt of India should enact a Law & make it mandatory.
