    And again a high quality video from Electronoobs. I don't know if I understood everything, but I keep an eye on this project. Mybe I will build it myself to understand it a bit better, and to bring a funny gaget to the next party :D

    Awesome!
    This is one of my favorites. May actually build one myself.

    This is super useful. I personally like how you break down the graph and how to do the calculations.
    Nice work.

    Good video, I need more clarification on the plotting of ppm value against the voltage value of the sensor

    Why didn't you upload the completed code where you have the sensor capturing values and outputting the average/max? That's quite important for building this out.. You only have the part where it's outputting the sensor value at PPM or BAC.

      Yeah, went a ahead and added everything into a loop that only reads when held down. What’s left on the screen is the last value.
      Also modified to display both ppm and bac on the screen at same time.
      Will see if I can code in to display last highest value or something.
      Would like to see @electronoobs code tho.

    Just a quick question....so you've actually figured out how to read alcohol much accurately right?

    what if my the resistor at the back of the MQ3 sensor is only 1 kilo ohms, will it still work

    Hi, just a thought, I'm looking to see how a USB can be implemented on any customer PCB projects. Do you think you can make a video on how to implement USB for serial comm?

      I thnik Arduino has a USB host library for that...

    Why the tester (and especially the actual sensor in it) is not constructed in a way that allows air to actually flow through I do not understand. Besides that, 'real' breath testers also measure how much air has passed through! I am not sure whether or not a tester that does not take into account the volume of air blown into it can actually provide sufficiently accurate outcomes. It may or may not make any difference. When the tester does not register what amount of air passes through that indeed would allow for false measurements, such as ones being caused by a remains of liquid alcohol still present in the mouth or traces of it that may be present in the top layer of tissues in the mouth, or on them, as the guy kind of does too.

      Yes you can. 0.05 is actually something like 1 or 2 beers.

      This test was done immediately after drinking, so the alcohol is still hanging around in the mount, giving an inflated value.

    As a Muslim I always wonder whether some food contains alcohol or not
    (Because Alcohol is 100% forbidden in Islam)
    I want to build this project and test if it can detect alcohol on food or not

    • @YouGenom
      @YouGenom ปีที่แล้ว

      many foods, fruits etc. contain alcohol, it is more or less everywhere.

    • @sturkjerikin2473
      @sturkjerikin2473 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@YouGenom what I know is fruits doesn't contain alcohol when they are fresh
      Could you give me examples in order I check
      For foods it's clear that it depends on the one that made this food he can add alcohol or not

    Could you please stop calling prototypes like this a finished product?
    because as a product developer for hardware products with PCBs I have to tell you, that this is miles away from a finished product :/
    Although, it's a great project and I will definitely try to build it myself! :) seams like a fun little gimmick
