  • I don’t know about you, but Amanda Seals rubbed me the wrong way during that Shayshay interview.
Did you see it? What are your thoughts?

I’m glad you gave this commentary. Because I was starting to think I was the only person that saw through a lot of her BS. A lot of her stories and perspectives could have been easily challenged by Shannon and I understand why he didn’t because it wouldn’t get anywhere because that’s what talking to a Narcissist is like. She so afraid. And sensitive that she can’t handle being wrong on any level.

Amanda Seales is undoubtedly brilliant in many ways, yet she seems to lack emotional intelligence. The interview presents a fascinating case study on Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD), illustrating the processes by which narcissists undermine and manipulate individuals to maintain control.

This comment right here. I'm so happy you said this. I kept saying she's a cancer, I'm not sure what no one is picking up My auntie and Dad are July 1st cancers, My ex girlfriend July Cancer. One of the most overlooked comments.

Narcissistic narratives typically follow a predictable pattern: individuals cast themselves as either perpetual victims or heroes, yet consistently overlook their own shortcomings. Amanda is undeniably brilliant-a fact she highlighted repeatedly during the interview-yet her pronounced narcissistic traits are just as clear. It's important to recognize that we all fall somewhere on the narcissistic spectrum, with many highly successful individuals displaying significant levels. Challenges arise when those at the higher end of this spectrum struggle to manage their narcissism effectively. Their behavior can become so conflict-ridden that it severely impacts their interactions with others. Although I am not a mental health professional, I believe Amanda would greatly benefit from exploring Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) and engaging in targeted therapy to better manage these traits. Additionally, she might also benefit from evaluating the possibility of bipolar mood disorder.

How someone feel is most definitely REAL. But the bigger issue is she discussed an experience that YOU were not apart of so why are we questioning it?? Katt Williams gave his time in the 40yard and as a pro football player, he had no input. Katt said he read 3k books and was homeless as teen and there were no questions. This lady says some kids called her the N word, and yall are confused at why she defended herself???
And let's not act like Shannon didn't start the convo with "i bet you had a lot of parent/teacher meetings....basically, saying she's the problem without even having a conversation with her.

For what it's worth, Shannon did not assume that Seales' mother was white; he based his comment on Seales' earlier, albeit barely audible, statement that her aunt had married a white man. This was not a production error, and Seales' subsequent reaction was typical of someone with Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD)-markedly different from a more typical response, where one might simply correct the mistake and move on.

This is an amaaaaaaazing review of The Amanda Seals Shannon Sharpe's interview..We need to lood Shannon Sharpe's comment section what they refer to watch this video. Amazing amazing amazing I learned from this video. Amanda does not take any accountability for any thing.
Amanda's social skills are poor and her lack of humility prevent her from being able to correct those skills.

My primary concern with Seales lies in her handling of the Myron Rolle issue, which was briefly touched upon but not thoroughly addressed during the interview. Initially accusing Rolle of sexual harassment, Seales now denies making such claims. Rolle, a Bahamian-American neurosurgeon and former football safety, boasts remarkable achievements both athletically and academically. Excelling in college football at Florida State University, he was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in 2010 and pursued medical studies at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital. Rolle's academic excellence earned him a Rhodes Scholarship, leading to an MSc in Medical Anthropology from Oxford University. Despite controversy, his professional influence continues to rise, evident in his appointment to the board of directors of Abiomed in 2021.

I have to disagree with you. Her assessment is correct, racism is learned behavior by children. Being called the N word by a child qualifies as racism in my books. Furthermore, she called out her own race, and she mentioned something so poignant that not all skinfolk is kinfolk. I'm sure that should have resonated with you being that your living in America as a light skinned black man. Everytime when a black woman is intellectual, unapologetic or speaks her mind, she is deemed to be problem... She does have a right the right to be combative if she does not share the same views as the person interviewing her...

Thinking that Amanda had the right to be combative just cuz Shanon didn’t agree with her is why her messages are typically not well received. If someone disagrees with you either make a better point, or agree to disagree. Acting combative and adding all this unnecessary stuff is why Amanda doesn’t have a good reputation and why she got black-balled.

Every differing viewpoint isn't a contradiction. Multiple viewpoints can be valid at the same time without being in conflict. Viewpoints are also influenced by experience. It's not about speaking ones mind, having conviction, or speaking their mind. All those can be accomplished while also having enough diplomacy to navigate relationships and life successfully. You say she is deemed to be a problem. Actually, it's the opposite. Everyone she encounters *SHE* considers a problem. The whole world is a problem and only *her* view matters. She is the only person who's right and everything and everyone must conform to her views and perceptions because only her worldview is right and if anyone disagrees she has a right to browbeat them into submission. That is basically what you are arguing. You missed the entire point of what he said.
Also, when every representation you present to the world is negative. When every single person you have worked with you reflect on negatively how is anyone to see anything else? Who wants to work with someone knowing no matter what they do or say she is going to come out of the experience with negative things to say about you, as is the pattern with every single business relationship in the past. People steer clear of negativity.
And if she admittedly does not pick up on social clues........... her perception inherently flawed. Social cues are the cornerstone of human communication!

@@tiahnarodriguez3809she was combative because her story about the teachers making an example out of her instead of the white kids that did the same thing even when the teacher parent conference the teacher said she only had a problem because Amanda was correcting her when she gave alternative facts. What I'm seeing 👀 here is that y'all drank the kool-aid not even knowing the flavor.

Seales asserts that she has received a clinical diagnosis of Asperger syndrome (AS), also referred to as Asperger's syndrome, previously recognized as a neurodevelopmental disorder marked by notable challenges in social interaction and nonverbal communication, alongside restricted and repetitive behavioral patterns, interests, and activities. This syndrome has since been integrated into autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and is no longer treated as a distinct diagnosis. Historically, it was deemed less severe than other conditions incorporated into ASD, largely due to comparatively intact verbal communication skills and intelligence.Source Wikipedia

@@afrolatino89I disagree. He did not invite her on to spar and debate with her over every part of life. She’s weaponizes her intelligence as well. She knows that she’s smart and knows a lot about the things that she’s taking about. And she’ll take that moment to make people feel dumb or less than. She tries to use her intelligence and semantics as weapons against others whenever she’s not getting her way.

A disorder is a disorder , some are more social than physical. If someone does not have the ability to walk on their own, you don't judge them for trying to use crutches. So why spend time critiquing someone who doesn't have the ability to pick up the social cues, but is attempting to fit in . (I see being a know it all as an attempt at fitting in, specifically if the person has a disorder). Do you feel she's lying about the disorder or that the disorder doesn't exist? It seems you don't truly understand the disorder in depth, if you see someone with symptoms in real time and invalidate it. Thanks for the video and opening a conversation.
