Hi my name is Riski, I come from Indonesia and I live in Sumatra, what you say is all true, because I once worked in Bali, so thank you very much for explaining in this video to tourists, I hope we will all respect each other, for you to be enthusiastic about continuing to create content, hopefully your TH-cam will reach 1 million followers 🙏
Terina kasih susan sudah memberi edukasi. Love Bali Love Indonesia
I went to Bali a month ago and loved it! This video is very informative and useful. I tipped every bali local who helped me and they all seemed very surprised yet thankful like they dont get huge tips which is strange to me because so many tourists are there.
What do u mean? In every restaurant and cafe tips are already included in a bill and that’s high %. Service charge is included basically everywhere apart of taxes.
@@saidahjules3435 I’m talking about doing grab, tour guides, ect.
@@saidahjules3435 usually it's 10% service charge and 11% government tax implemented in established properties such as hotels, restaurants, cafes, etc but not like in local warung [food stalls], shops, grab, tour guides, etc
@@saidahjules3435 Some establishments do not give all of the service charge to their staff. I always tip some extra, if deserved.
Hi Susan..so valuable informations.! Yes..i also have heard of such incidents happening there because of the tourists rush after the pandemic. A majority of these people are less informed and in a rush to enjoy their moments paying no heed to the local people's sentiments. Thanks sharing and take care of yourself. 😊
I used to have a dream traveling to Bali Island but it seems so hard to get there. Once upon a time my Balinese ex girlfriend said that some day your foot would step on Bali Island soil, and once time you got there you will go back again to Bali. Because she believed that Bali has such as magnetic to pull someone back there. And finally after a long time now in 2024 I accepted by non profit foundation as their team in Bali. Can't believe my dream comes true.
Nice video. Thanks for sharing😊
Terima kasih.
A bit exaggerating to generalise alcohol in clubs are cheap ones, depends on the place and the class though, and not true that you can go blind from too much "Arak", Real Arak won't cause that but the knock-off ones, so you have to know where to get Real Arak made purely from Palm.
It's nationally known there are so many knock-off Arak around Indonesia especially on Java and brought to Bali as well so it's not Balinese fault.
And with tap water drinking you had to go back in The Netherlands because you fell ill that's also too much, I lived in The Netherlands and surrounding of course also fluent in many languages including Dutch as I am a complete multiracial multilingual born Indonesian living around the world all alone since childhood, I must say your 3 years on Bali you haven't discovered enough.
The truth is The Netherlands etc are the real third world including with hospital.
Thank. You Susan you is the bes 👍👍👍 andai semua pengunjung pulau Bali berpikiran seperti kamu indah nya Bali bukan hanya paraturis yg menikmati tapi masyarakat lokal juga bisa menikmati dari hasil kunjungan trimakasih. For susan
thank you Susan... be respect and you will be respected....
You are such a nice person... Watching your video make my heart feel warmth...Thank you.
Awesome video Susan 😊👍👍
Hi Susan, appreciate your practical and helpful advice.
Very good saya suka dng anda itu sangat perlu untuk menjaga agar turis bisa menikmati liburan di Indonesia dng bahagia dan tidak melanggar aturan yang adat budaya bangsa Indonesia tmksh
Couldn’t agree more! Great tips ❤️Especially about being respectful to the locals, Balinese people are the most genuine and loving people on the planet 🥹
Give respect, get respect 🙏🏼

I'm Indonesian but I've never been to Bali. Usually our high schools organize tours to Bali, but when it was our turn the tour wasn't to Bali. I see Bali only from stories from those who have been to Bali. Bali is increasingly strange and expensive for me as an Indonesian. Do I still qualify as a local tourist in Bali? I don't know, but everything you say is true, local and national media say the same... Thank you Susan, you are our very good sister, we love you :)
I'm an Indonesian and been living in Bali for 30 years working in hospitality industry.
I agree with you that prices in Bali is considerably higher than in Java, but it is what it is.
I won't buy something that is over my budget. No doubt.
Bali [and I'm sure other places in this whole planet] always welcome to everyone, but disrespectful and impolite persons [regardless the nationalities].
So I hope you would have a chance to visit Bali some day!
tergantung ekspektasi bro, taun lalu gw ke ubud hampir semingguan masih masuk akal. cari2 info di grup fb backpacker banyak kok yg bagus dan murah, menurut gw travel atau trip itu tergantung sudut pandangnya ngejar luxury apa biasa bgt, kaya makan aja masih banyak warung non western yg 10rban halal dll. balik lagi mau nyari apa dlu dan kaya gimana
Thank you so much Susan, you're so kind bule👍🇮🇩😇

Thanks ❤
God bless you 😊

Terimakasih mbak susan🥰👍

Nice Tips Darling Susan...
Good😊
😃
Thank you very much sister. That's true. It's important to know the rules in the country before you visit there. Follow the rules and you will get comfortable as long as you there ❤

Well done Susan. I'm an Indonesian and have spent more than half of my life staying in Bali and I still can't get enough of it.
I think it's just COMMON SENSE when we travel to other countries we should always be RESPECTFUL and POLITE. Sometimes it helps us a lot when we can SPEAK THE LOCAL LANGUAGE a bit. Trust me on this.
I admit that you will find some as*h*les in Bali [like in many other countries I believe], such as driving motorbike too fast etc etc, but as a visitor we should not imitate that. Just be a normal person 😁
You may still use some casual and comfortable clothes as long as you are not completely naked on public you will be just fine.
If you're staying in a neighborhood / residential, please be mindful of the noise at night and if possible try to keep some small lights at front of your house on during the night.
Also [this is very important] although Bali is considerably safe, don't forget to always keep your doors and windows closed and locked especially at night. Put your valuables in a safety box or hide it somewhere. Better be safe than sorry!
In short just use our common sense whereever we go, don't act like an a*sh*le and we will be just fine.
Enjoy it!
Oh and if you have a small temple at your rented place, don't hang your clothes above or near it!
It happened to me first time when I came to Bali until the landlord told me this ))))))))))))
haii susan i love you😃
👍👍👍❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
God bless you

Susan is getting prettier, caring more about fellow humans, especially Indonesians. and I like it

About “don’t go to Nusa Penida only for one day (return)” I really agree with u! U don’t really enjoy the nature there with one day return, also the trip is really “heavy”
Honestly good, great advice. I’ve never been there. I any soon. A little too, can you just share a list so a person doesn’t have to listen to the whole video to get the info? I don’t have wifi, and have limited data. It wasn’t worth watching the whole video when it’s all about respect. Thanks. 😊
Bhalobasha ❤️🇧🇩
