My friend and I used to do Tai Chi together in Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia. And one morning, we were doing our form and we must have gone into that "space" where we didn't know anymore we that we were doing the form. And suddenly from all the park, pigeons started flying over to us. We actually were unaware that this was happening until hundreds of birds were on the ground in front of us and we "came out of the silence" to say "holy crap! What the hell is happening?" We kept doing the Tai Chi form but then we were very self-conscious and aware. Gradually the birds flew away. Of course over the next couple of weeks, we would do the form and then glance into the sky to see "if the birds were coming" but in time we forgot about it and one Saturday morning when we met again for our weekly Tai Chi, and we "became the form" instead of doing the form, the skies once again filled over the park and hundreds of birds began flying over to us--but we had a witness this time--a dear friend who was sitting on a park bench and waiting for us to finish so we could all go have coffee. She saw the phenomena we had tried to tell her about some months earlier. There is no question that there is a certain kind of silence that is a language that I don't know what it is. But I experienced it. So, I believe you Dr. Chopra. I witnessed it and I wasn't a "bird whisperer."
Cuanta verdad Maestro!!❤ En casa las plantas me piden agua cuando tienen sed. Todo sucede en mi mente. Se que son ellas porque cortan el flujo de pensamiento y piden agua. Es así!❤
In a book currently reading, there is a quote by Rumi. Wanted to share this with you. "In truth, everything and everyone/ Is a shadow of the Beloved. And our seeking, is his seeking. And our words are His words. We search for Him here and there, while looking right at Him. Sitting by his side, we ask, "Oh Beloved, where is the Beloved!" All lanuage is magnificient. Thank you and all the best.
This reminds me of Sri Ramana Maharshi there are many pictures of him sitting on the hill of Arunachala in silence where animals and sometimes children would spontaneously come and sit in his silent presence often for hours on end with not a single word being uttered between them, something of a much more primordial expression was shared so I thank Deepak for this clarification that helps to demystify that which is profoundly natural but so often misunderstood
Thank you so much!!! I can recognice what you wisely explein and it move my heart very deeply . It s something so hard to put in words . In the light of this Truth every things disappear and a hudge sense of " AWE"arise giving birth to an infinite Gratitude for this Miracle, that we call Life! thank youuu!!!!!❤
From my perspective, you've explained and expounded on, "Be still [silent] and know I AM," exquisitely. Of course, your ancient wisdom is not at all echoed in any theological commentary which I now count as dung as compared to the brilliance of Anointed Truth (to paraphrase Paul as he was speaking of his own Pharisaical background). And, I recently had occasion to hear the Simon and Garfunkel song, "Sound of Silence," and you gave new meaning to that, too. Thank you, Dr. Chopra; I very much look forward to your daily devotions to the Whole, and this did completely clear up my missing of your point you had made earlier about language. P.S. I'm speculating that the woman you met who showed you her communication with birds didn't even _think_ our language in her head, for instance, by thinking, "Come to me," when she "spoke" to the bird. She somehow - without human language, spoken or unspoken - she *Communicated.* This is hard for me to wrap my being around, but I intellectually understand that it's Silence in _thought_ (the first 2 of 4 stages of thought) that is Essential not just the absence of the spoken word. It's my understanding that it's *our inner dialogue* of words/"language" that appears like silence to us (because we aren't speaking aloud) that *drowns out the Divine Silence, Objective Silence.* The Seed of the 4 phases of thought is Silence, and once words are wrapped around it the Silence is broken and has arisen into the physical even if it's just in your brain/mind.
Thank you very much Dr.Chopra to teach us so important things to our lives !!! The story of the bird communication really made me shed tears of joy !!!
Happy Monday. If you sit in a forest and listen to a babbling creek, a gentle breeze amongst the branches, and the chorus of birds.... that is a beautiful "silent" language...❤ penguins are given pebbles by their penguin suitors when asking for "marriage". I love it. I believe your stories...the strangest of stories are the real ones. Thank you, this is so interesting.
Silent isn't "wordless" in this context, Kelly. When he says Silent he means the medium from which all physical sounds of the communication of Nature (like a babbling brook, etc) spring out of. The Silence is not the _sound_ of the brook. It's not perceivable sound at all. Silence is the _pre-sound Unheard Communication_ that is not sensed by our ears (or other perception organ depending on the species) and processed by our brains. This is not to be nit-picky or critical, per se, but to help you understand that the Unhearable Sound of Silence is in not of this physical realm at all...it gives RISE to the physical sounds you're describing in the language of the woods. In other words without Silence from which the sounds of the woods spring out of, there'd be no language of the woods (which is not Silence).
Deepak, we have so much in common. I am fascinated by languages on Earth. Where I live in Waynesboro, PA, I am surrounded by birds and deers, and I have communicated with animals since I was a little girl. ThankYou Infinitly for sharing this with the World 🌎 ❤️
Beautiful wisdom. Your messages are always in perfect timing and divine alignment with the downloads and experiences I have daily. Thank you for continuing to share your wisdom with us 🙏🏾💫✨
I was happy to see you have a photo of the younger, Physical you, with Maharishi at the top of your bookshelf. I remember when Gita was throwing the photos out and I got one before they were all gone. Interesting about the electromagnetic signaling between plants and bees. Raven Snow, the musician, you would enjoy her singing different animals. She's unbelievable. Root of all language is silence. BRAVO: Great story about the woman who communicates with birds. I will add, the sacred vowels of Sanskrit, A, E, I, O, U, are able to expand consciousness via language of sound. The original Holy tradition, staring 8,200 years ago, they knew how to communicate without talking. The violence in all forms, all over the world, would diminish if the sacred vowels, pronounced as in Sanskrit, if played in all neighborhoods of the world, would usher in world peace. Pundit Ravi Shankar, years ago, told me the Italian language is 50% Sanskrit. The Rishi's, in the beginning, were E.T. races that brought the Vedic Tradition to the Indus Tribes and this started the Vedic tradition in all of its forms. The original Rishi's were not Hindu. Sound was also and still used to help move spaceships in the more refined levels of creation. Nice to see you again. Lou.
When I sing or chant out loud up at my remote cabin on the west slope of Mt Hood, the bluejays and ravens suddenly get quiet. Normally very vocal, I believe they are making space for MY vocalizations out of a mix of both curiosity and caution. It; like they are saying "Look, there's someone new in the neighborhood!" 😃 Also, often when I sing an alligator lizard (rare in NW Oregon) will come up out of the rocks nearby, and just hangs out on a perch, close enough for me to reach out and touch. He seems to trust me completely, and has repeated this same behavior multiple times throughout the summer. Those are just two of many examples of magical interspecies communication I've experienced in 10 years of camping at the same location...
You are amazing Sir. Your parents and family raised you well and you took the complete responsibility of shaping yourself further. On a daily basis I am learning a lot from you. I wish and pray that my life opens up more so that I could meet you soon and learn from your wisdom.
Dear Dr. Chopra I find myself listening to my tortoises saying me they are hungry or their water is dirty. And I can also hear my plants telling me they are thirsty. Also one plant do not talk to me because I am predator for it as I chopped it without asking it and listening to it. I totally agree with you.
Thanks for this, 🎯♥😶 🙏☮ wishing love, grace, courage and understand🎯ing for all. Please keep reminding because It does help. Thank you,Thanks for sharing truth
Thanks for sharing this. An amazing story on the power of silence, relating to the divine. Those silent and quiet spaces in between where one contemplates consciousness. Also liked the various examples on how animals and plants communicate without speaking words.
Silence is definitely what alolw us the connection with God. The way that we can truly hear our soul. Thank you Deepak for sharing and remindind us this beautifull knowledge.
I love everything you do, your wisdom inspires me. And when I feel anxious, I listen to one of your books (especially Merlin and Arthur), because your voice has a soothing effect.
Ahhh, LOVED this and it is so, I've experienced. ❤ this little pond area here has turtles and ducks and birds, and they are around when I'm there, and silence so works for communication. A neat video
Divine language is nicely described. It might be also described as Cosmic language and has been immersed through Cosmic vibration and consciousness. Thank you Dipak for your Divine illustration about language. It opens up new lights upon the creation of language that belongs to Cosmic Awareness with Silent flow.
I believe the 'external' or 'aparent' forms of communication have become dominant due to immediate, practical needs, but, as we all share the same universal consciousness and universal intelligence, we would have developed ways of mind-to-mind understanding even if we didn't have our five senses, our voices etc. By the way, according to the South African Zulu tradition, thousands of years ago their ancestors were able to communicate telepathically, then God got furious with his people and restricted communication to the vocal form as a punishment...
I think you're entirely correct and I always wondered if before the Tower of Babel if the "one language" everyone spoke wasn't spoken at all ,but telepathy. And then "God confused their 'speech'" from which languages as we know them today arose. Not sure of the ins and outs of how it really went down, but I think that story conveys the idea you did.
There is also posthumous language. I watched a documentary once about orcas, or killer whales as they are known. Orcas hunt in packs and each pack learns how to hunt whichever prey is in their vicinity. Most groups stay in one area and only hunt 2 or 3 species of prey but there are some groups that travel in order to hunt. One of such groups was followed by reaserchers and they saw the orcas hunting great white sharks. The interesting thing is that these orcas were following the migration of these sharks, and when they killed one, all the other sharks in about 100km radius, ran away or started groioing together, which white sharks didn't usually do. And for the next few years, no more white sharks migrated to that region where one was killed. Reaserchers hypothesized that given the shark's keen sense of smell, when the hunted shark's blood hit the water, all the other sharks in 100km radius began to feel the panic and fear that the prey did, so they ran away.
I completely believe in the language of silent.. when used in the right way it is the most effective form of communication. Although I'm intrigued in the part where you said God's creation.. knowing that you once said God does not exist! How do you mean by God's creation?
The traditional idea of God as defined by religion (the Judge sitting "out there" on a Throne or whatever other religious construct) does not exist. God, as Deepak understands it to be a Living Consciousness/Awareness, does Exist.
I look forward to listening to your videos during video season. I feel compelled to say that I don't think it's helpful to give a general criticism of other religions or philosophies without being specific as to what the criticism is. This approach, which is prevalent today especially upon this minority mostly defined subjectively philosophy, can only fuel prejudice when there's no reason stated for the criticism. It's just a statement which presumes everyone understands what the criticisms are even though, which is often seen when speaking of "New Age", not a mention of anything particular. This communication is actually what the song, Sound of Silence is primarily about which is speaking in confirmation with the present state of being which is called conformity. Conformity is silence in the sense that it doesn't allow for change. I feel it's a related issue to relate that I found a study says 90% of Americans are vitamin deficient not even considering mineral deficiencies. I have looked at what percentages of what many foods offer us in what our bodies actually need in the most important meaning of the word essential. It's mind boggling to me how so many bend over backwards in being dismissive of supplements saying such things as essential means what the body can't make for itself as though this statement gives us a reason why we don't need supplements which it does not. This is a sound of silence that speaks without communicating. When we reflect upon our actions we should seek to discern what is the actual effect of our words and actions in the world? What do I see in the world that might speak to inform myself of my effect? I say these things having seen the effect of my actions and lack of actions in this area and so view it as a duty for me to try to have a positive effect in this area. Silence is a word people see as having so many significantly different meanings in philosophical terms. I see silence philosophically as being the foundation of nature and then taking on different meanings in increasing complex environments. Like being silent in our physical minds and bodies allows us to be in tune with the spirit as the source, could say root, of the apparent Universe which could also be seen as the entire quantity of matter which is the representation of the entire mass of the Universe as the apparent entire quantity of energy which holds all possibilities as represented in the sound which holds all sounds played by the instrument of the lips which gives form to the word like phospholipids. Knowing the bird will come is what commands the bird to come. 🙏🕊️
Mass is defined as a dimensionless quantity of matter. Dimensionless means it takes up no space. It's a point in space as what I think would be the inertial point of rotation which is the cause of it's environment in relationship to the entirety of the Universe exactly as the center of rotation of a hurricane 🌀 forms it's appearance in relationship to the entirety of the Universe with it's most local environment being the most influential.
the Word was with God, and the Word was God Brahman once said "om" it still goes through universe to endlessness. it was "one" wave but later co-creators created their own waves to disrupt. it splitted to different frequencies and vibratition through time and took some form. those forms started to observe and do their best and u guys know the rest. 🙏
Thank you for sharing your personal experiences with us. It's fascinating and inspiring how life is so much more to explore. I've had some encounters with birds and deer where they wanted to communicate with me. One time I stepped outside briefly to take out something and was drawn to the sound of the birds chirping in a pine tree nearby. I looked out at the tree and it was full of birds and they seemed to be looking directly at me chirping. I stood still caught up in it watching and feeling something. I'm not sure what but there was a connection. Then, all of a sudden they stopped and it was silent and they flew out. Was like the whole tree lifted as they left with all those birds flying off. Another time was with a young doe that had twins in our yard. For some reason she wouldn't come into the corral with them and feed them, even though we left all the gates open and took our dog out on the leash to do it's business. They would run back and forth crying for her and she was right there on the other side. My husband was in the hospital at the time, so I lost track of them and later found their bodies close together by the fence. I was deeply devastated and buried them with the help of a neighbor and later that evening when I came home from the hospital, the doe was in the backyard close by where we had buried the twins. When I came out she turned towards me and I went to my knees crying as we both looked at each other for the longest time. I felt we both grieved their death somehow together that evening - heart to heart. I never understood any of this with my head. Somehow it bypasses understanding. In looking back at those 2 incidents, the feelings of them both come rushing back as it was when they happened. Sorry this is so long of a comment but felt it was important to share. The divine silence without thought or explanation is powerful and cuts through all dimensions. It's a miracle to behold. God bless you for being you Deepak and the knowledge and wisdom you put out in the world. It's important and a blessing 🙏✨💜
If I want to communicate with God with my desires, I only need to be silent and tell my desires? How will I know I got answers? After 5 minutes? Btw, thank you so much for sharing this, Deepak 😊 About the lady and the bird story it is fascinating. 💎 Wanna meet & learn from her. Hehe 😊
I crave to respond but all I feel is a divine super silence in me........ Silence has been chasing me down for some time, as well as the Divine. The language of tears has been a big part of my life in recent times. I understand why & I know the root of it all.... is language ✌️💙🔆🙏
Neuroscience has discovered the brain’s Default Mode Network by examining what happens when a person is placed in an FMRI scanner and asked to not think of anything. Scanning shows increased activity in certain regions of the internal structure of the brain, but then the question becomes ‘what does it mean’ and then researchers have to translate the scans. This is where it becomes controversial and opinions about it divides. Some say that it depicts self centred attention on ‘me’ and label it as being a pathological state of lethargy or laziness etc. because of their prejudice towards task-relatedness over inactivity. Another view, from Gary Weber points out that the DMN is a state of mind in which ‘blah blah blah’ doesn’t occur any longer and so it an argument which suggests that it isn’t a pathological state, it’s in fact a restful state that is beneficial, psychologically. I think that by responding to a request for suspension of thinking, the subject is still expressing a task-oriented desire ie. the voluntary ‘non thinking’ as opposed to ordinary thinking. So, real silence may have to be involuntary and therefore the person would be unaware of that silence because it wasn’t induced by thought processes. Deepak, do you have a position re the DMN issue? Is it possibly the brain’s silent connection with the divine silent voice?
Beautiful❤ But Please Translate in Hindi Because English jayada Samjh Nahi Aati So Please Translate In Hindi For Us Because This Knowledge is Beautiful Or Ye Sabke liye Benifit ho
The problem I have, is that the deepest state of being is a non conceptual one and of course one of unity. That means the young lady and the bird are one.But when she brings in an intention, that means this state of unity is broken by that concept. Then it is a conceptual state or a state of mind. And how should this work on a non dual way.Normally duality works differently. But here not, why.😊
The communication you are speaking of is ALL based in SERVIVAL (EGO) not SPIRTIUAL. We do NOT have a language to discuss "BEING". Poetry is the closes . -namaskaram
Yes. Divine Silence can't actually be described or heard; he's saying all this physical realm sound arises from the indescribable, un-hearable Divine Silence.

Perhaps time to re listen to "sound of silence" by Simon and Garfunkel
Interestingly, my husband put that song on TH-cam the night before I watched this video. Synchronicity it seems.

I think that is amazing Nd simply true. I appreciate your work and this story I believe. I trust and honor your work. Thank you D

Swami ji , it’s yur old friend wake/bret . L❤ve u . Gratitude
the Word was with God, and the Word was God
Brahman once said "om"
it still goes through universe to endlessness.
it was "one" wave but later co-creators created their own waves to disrupt.
it splitted to different frequencies and vibratition through time and took some form.
those forms started to observe and do their best
and u guys know the rest.
🙏
Totally in agreement
So interesting.

another great insight by Deepak. Thank you master!
Wow it makes sense I get it wish I could reach tht silence
In silence, spirit will enter the physical body and you experience oneness.
🙏
Absolutely wonderful🌈❤️🔥 Me too🕊🦆🐥✨️ It is the language of love indeed🌈❤️🔥✨️✌️🫶

Sanskrit is the language of the real Gods of the Multiverses
I’m interested to know her name, the bird communicator, so that I can look her up! Thank you.

Ah..remember the little girl who could speak to the whales? I heard the story from an old seminar of yours from 92 😇
May we have your Hindi language vedios..😊
All language is yes and no in endless mosaics
I am Kalki, Ive been trying to reachout to everyone who has created the movie on me, please we must talk if you see this, my mothers name is Ishwar
And so des music...
Sir
Can I connect to you!
