Charlie thanks for keeping it real and letting people see that raising well bred pups is not all sunshine and puppy kisses. The countless hours of love hard work and financial resources that are required to bring quality pups to the world is lost on most people I think. They look at their beautiful baby on gotcha day not realizing just how much time love and dedication by the breeder got them there.
Tri-colored girls are my favorite, but as much as I want a Cavalier of my own, my family & I can't afford the prices breeders typically charge for their puppies. That's the main reason why my parents keep saying "no". But I can relate to Sherlock's situation as I myself have suffered from an orthopedic disability my whole life. If I had the financial means, I'd snatch thus cutie up in a heartbeat! I think he and I'd be a match made in heaven!
We have a little guy whose left rear leg is shorter than the other three. He has to do physical therapy every day to prevent injury from his strange, funny, little gait. He hates it!! He's used to it now, but he still doesn't like it. The good thing, though, is he gets yummy treats when he does his exercises.
Hi Sherlock I’ve missed you the past couple of days , you continue to steal my heart and if I’m honest a tear to my eyes. Although , you are so fortunate to have such wonderful care from your people family and from Apple your mom. Take care and good luck with your PT❤️
He is absolutely adorable! I live it when they purr. My Maisie does that when she get excited about going on a walk. Absolutely nothing sweeter than a Cavalier.
Ciao Charlie, sono Annarita dall'Italia, come stai? Tutto ok? Cosa hai fatto di bello?Sei stato fuori sede?Sono contenta che sei rientrato, ti stavamo aspettando ! Ciao Sherlock che carino che sei!😍😍😍😍Buona domenica col❤❤❤
Thank you for this content. I never knew much about swimmer’s syndrome and see that it can be serious! I look forward to watching Sherlock grow into the handsome cavalier that he’ll become ❤ Keep up the good work, Sherlock!
Sherlock is doing so well. No surprise there. You mentioned on a previous video that Cavi’s don’t win Best In Show and for various reasons. Being a Cavi family and ALWAYS cheer on during Westminster (and all others), could you explain (being an AKC judge yourself) why that is? Thank You…for All that you do!❣️🐶
It's something that just happens in a puppy's early development, more often than you would realize. Usually, the pups affected are on the heavy side, and feel most comfortable sleeping on their stomachs. That causes the limbs to splay out, and in the most severe cases, a flattening of the chest. With patience and the kinds of therapy you see on these videos, they grow into perfectly normal, healthy adults.
It's sometimes used, but we have had 100% success with these other techniques, and they don't require the level of special equipment that hydrotherapy entails.
Sherlock is so lucky to have you. Amazing what modern medicine (and time and patience) can accomplish.
Sherlock is such a cutie.

He's so sweet! Hopefully the exercises will help straighten out his leg especially since you caught it while he's still so little.

I'd like to take that up in an Ask The Breeder video - thanks for the idea.
Such loving care ❤️🐶
Good job Sherlock!
Im proud of sherlock trying to do with the hobble. What could be the cause of the swimmer leg?

How will Sherlock's socialisation re interaction with playmates occur now that he no longer has siblings to play with. He looks lonely.
We make sure he gets plenty of alternative socialization, both with us and with the adult Cavaliers in our home.
Would hydrotherapy be helpful for Sherlock? or other pups with swimmers syndrome?
It's sometimes used, but we have had 100% success with these other techniques, and they don't require the level of special equipment that hydrotherapy entails.
Maybe Sherlock’s name needs to be changed to Houdini? So much that goes into making sure this little guy has the best life. ❤
