@@Wildmarshmellow cheaters will come regardless of if it is f2p or not. What matters is if they make sure that if they are caught cheating that it is clear that punishment is reasonable.

No sbmm only protects the top of the top players so basically if you had a below a 3kd in old cods get ready to get stomped on

@@sandycrash8868 I plan to get stomped. Then I plan to relax and slowly work my way up the leaderboard over time. Because that is the only way to get to the top of the leaderboard in a mixed skill lobby. You can't sweat your way to the top like with SBMM, so it won't be a sweatfest.

This couldn't be more true. I was young when I played Dota 2 so I was ignorant to how any kind of matchmaking worked.
When I started playing Overwatch, I realized any kind of game with matchmaking only exists to not make timmies feel bad so they keep playing and keep spending money.
Can't wait for this game.
Oh, def. I got pounded mercilessly in MW2 back in the day. Started getting much better in MW3 to the point that I could go 25-1 with the M4 at any time. Folks that don't play good players at all, then can't learn from them as I, and many good players did/still do.

@@Jay410S why would OG players head over to this game. Most people that played the original call of duty or much older now 2003 was 21 years ago. When the original modern warfare came out. You might say that is the original, but it is not people that played played for streaks or kill streaks as they called them then not gonna be a thing in this game.
I’m halfway through and I can already tell I’m watching this video twice. This turned my hype up x100. Not only can it bring cod fans, but it also has a little bit of a more arcade R6 feel, and I’m here for it.
This is exactly how developers communicate with the community and be transparent with how everything has been going and what to expect. Something CoD devs and Activision should take notes/learn from.
I am so ready to jump into this game soon and never think about CoD again.

Everything sounds just... so right. I've never been hyped for a video game, but this one.
However, one thing that makes me worried for this release is Ubisoft.
For the love of God, don't f*** it up, Ubisoft.

3:20 *What makes a great FPS Mark Rubin Response?* I've always said the movement and mechanics are key to making a great FPS. If it's not fluid and a steady fast pace it wont be a good game.
*Keep it simple and straightforward* and thats why *the movement systems in BO2, WW2, BOCW* work so well *a downward motion while moving/running going upward into your ADS will always be the best control and movement system* because it's realistic and it doesnt waste time or create unnecessary movements when you have to reload, activate equipment and killstreaks simultaneously.
Unlike in MW2019, MWII2022, MWIII2023 the controls & movement system were terrible and you were constantly getting killed trying to reload or call streaks.
There was no Slight of Hand, Fast Reload, Hustle or any option to reload faster without sacrificing fire power or ammo capacity in the new games that prided themselves on insane fast movement.
*XDefiant will keep to OG movement systems*
“A new faction every season.” This sounds amazing! Keeping it fresh is all I could ask for! I can see this game becoming my daily go-to if they play their cards right!

Mr Rubin hit the nail on the effin head. SBMM is terrible for the Community in general. Because the big streamers are now 2 boxing to get into protected lobbies that are for the casual player. I repeat the CASUAL player and just wreck the whole lobby and create a toxic experience for these new players who are not going to come back because of these streamers that are producing the so called CoD experience that many people would like to have in their own experience. But isn't happening because cheaters and other things that are happening in game and other things. But Xdefiant has ZERO sbmm. And there will be a learning curve for the skill issue people that will definitely shit on the game cause there is no sbmm

Its been a while since I last sat down and watched a video of yours. Glad ypu kept the same style (love the old school intro music, always have) glad you're still out here kicking ass and taking names, Nero.
Every match i have to be close to the TV sweating cause its 91-91 with 10 secs left
This was great when it was once every 20 games. It felt good to have to try then and felt amazing to win.
Now it's every match, and it drains you.
@@PBNIP Yeah 100%. You could get a gauge for the skill of the lobby before and use a weapon that maybe wasn't the best but it was a fun to try and whoop the lobby with a weaker gun. You had a chill feel to the game, and when it popped off ohh you were pulling out the meta weapons and sitting forward cause you weren't letting this asshole beat you lol. The no disbanding let you have arch nemesis's it was amazing and COD is so far out of touch with this it's ridiculous

I had no aspirations on even playing xdefiant, but with all this dope information I've received over the past 2 weeks, I'm playing this over call of duty anyday lol😂🔥 no sbmm will b a breath of fresh air, nomore worrying about my k.d. goin over 1.0, or dealing with activision demonic algorithms like on call of duty😂😂
Is that what makes every game a sweat fest in mw3? Cause my kd is just slightly over 1.0 and every match I'm getting absolutely stomped. For about a week straight now. So if I go under 1.0 the games will ease up a bit?

That's what I loved about the older cods.. Destroying people one game and playing against someone who whooped me the nest but staying in the lobby to try destroy him the next game. I was horrible for the first few month I started playing cod and the randomness of the skills in matches helps you develop much better than the current sbmm in cod.
This. It's fine to get whooped, sometimes you pick up on something. But getting whooped all the time juat cause the algorithm dictates its what's best for retention? That's sadistic.
Love the The Division maps, but they all look great. Looking like a crossover between all the shooters on the market right now.

I genuinely hope that XD has lasting power, for years. I’ve played the betas and really enjoyed the gameplay. And the factions themes are pretty slick.
The Finals can carry its own as well. We need some shooters that will rival the COD and Fortnite communities.

He mentioned skill based matchmaking, and said that it won’t be in XDefiant, but the most important piece was him enlightening us to the truth, when he subtly mentioned that no it’s actually Engagement based matchmaking or EOMM and broke it down for us.
COD hasn’t used SBMM since BO4 and since MW19 we’ve been manipulated with EOMM ever since.
I’m happy that XDefiant has neither, and will solely have a form of skill based for ranked play.
We should thank Mark for taking the necessary stand against EOMM because that although subtly mentioned, is the greatest issue with games like CoD and especially like CoD.

When I play I COD I feel like I’m not even fighting the players, I’m fighting the SBMM
I'm not hoping that XDefiant is going to replace all shooters, I'm hoping it's gonna make the other game developments rethink their decisions and overall view of situation
Hopefully they keep there promise on SBMM not being a thing on XDefiant for the foreseeable future. Many companies promise one thing and end up doing the same thing they promised they wouldn't do in the long run :/
the game may not kill cod but i hope it makes cod feel it hard in it sales, this game can have several updates and fixes not expecting a perfect launch but by the end of the summer i bet cod is gonna be feeling a small shift of players to X.
Hot Shot sounds so fun! Combining my favorite modes of bounty & kill confirmed into one is surprisingly creative, better than regular TDM.
im in complete full support of this game ive watched tons of beta plays from different streamers some small and big to see what everyone says and so far everyone is saying its so worth it and from what i have heard this game def has a future

I'm so hyped for this if it is as good as I think/hope it will be I won't be buying cod again. Of course I know that the launch might be rough as they always are with especially with everyone at the same time trying to play so I will keep a open mind for that.

Good initiative! This was what Activision and everyone responsible for COD should give to the community, and explain things as they are.
Haven’t played any Beta gameplay, only interested in this game from you, but no SBMM is the only reason im excited to give this a try

I hope this game really takes off and sticks around for the long haul, I’ve played too many games that were killswitched because of low support.
There was a really weird mechanic in the most recent play test.
I kept dying because i couldnt sprint during reload.
But i realized- if yoy kept 1 bullet, you could start a sprint, and then reload, and keep sprinting and sliding. But if you emptied your clip, it starts a reload and you cant sprint. Could probably swap, start sprint, swap back and reload as well.
I hope its not a tech that we will have to get used to.
It was lame to lose movement because you used all your bullets.
As a former COD fan, I have to say I'm cautiously optimistic about this and will def try it out

I can’t wait to try this out. I really don’t even have the time to care about sbmm in cod, which is why I haven’t bought one since mw2019. So with everything going on in cod, it’s not worth the price of admission for me. This being f2p alone is enough for me, but no sbmm and hopefully good progression might have me back into gaming
