Thank you for this review!! 😊 I actually bought the old version formula just prior to the reformulation, and so I have about 3/4 of a bottle left. I do enjoy it, with the exception of the fragrance. You are so right! The fragrance in some of the other Chanel foundations are not as 'perfume-like.' With that being said, I do have oily skin and like blurring effect foundations and so I'll likely try this one when the other bottle runs out! Also, I absolutely love oil-blotting papers. I have a package in my purse at all times! 🌺💕🌺
I always depend on your opinion for foundation reviews! I was super curious about this one but I want to try it out now! I also like a more natural finish with lighter coverage but there’s definitely times when I can see myself wanting to use a foundation like this ❤
I have found some of the best foundations but there always fragrance. I ended up stopping personally in the long run I felt it took a beating on my skin and I’m dry skin .
I am always nervous about reformulations but this foundation is just as great as before! I will never understand why they put so much fragrance though. A little ok but literally it smells like grandma x 1000.
I used to only use Chanel foundations but today the fragrance is so strong I can't wear it anymore. So disappointing as it was my absolute favorite but I just can't tolerate the super strong fragrance in their foundations anymore. I now use Chanticaille Future Skin Foundation which is fragrance free.
I am finding it so similar lately! It makes me sad as well! Totally agree - Chantecaille is moving quickly to the top drawer for almost everything as I can trust them to be fragrance free and mostly allergen safe! Really hoping as more data is released, companies will eventually remove the fragrance from products! xx
LOVE the sublimage serum MORE than the one in the jar! The one in the jar is more full coverage and matte where the serum is lighter weight, lighter coverage, more natural and more hydrating on the skin! xx
This looks way more natural on the skin! The Le Teint Ultrawear is much more matte and is fuller coverage - I prefer this because it looks much more natural on the skin, while still blurring - the Le Teint Ultrawear is heavier looking and doesn't wear as nicely on me - the winner for me is this new velvet foundation!
It’s really a shame Chanel has to put a boatload of fragrance, and often lots of alcohol too, into their foundations. I have sensitive skin with rosacea and just can’t use anything like that. Many years ago when they launched the fragrance free Solution 10 de Chanel moisturizer with a dermatologist I had hoped they’ might eventually add other products to the line including a fragrance free foundation but … no. Maybe I’ll give your HG Sublimage L’Essence de Teint a try.
I you allow me, I would like to give you some constructive comments: -- Try to match your foundations to your neck instead of your face (your face color does not match your neck color) to achieve a more natural look. Or at least try to blend it down a little bit more. -- Your eyebrows do not look modern. Try drawing the hairs one by one instead of filling them in (it's old fashion and doesn't look natural) You are beautiful!
I disagree on the brows. The issue where it looks unnatural in my opinion is when everyone squares off the ends near the nose. To even cut it off at an angle is much more natural looking. That laminated caterpillar look is not it and also out of trend now anyway

I have dehydrated skin partially due to tretinoin but I can dtill use this foundation and I love it.
So happy you are loving it as well! The more I wear it, the more I love it!!
I would try mixing it with a light moisturizer and see how you like it. I ordered B30 but it was too dark. Waiting to try B20. Box came in today.

Can you do a comparison with this and the Prada one? How are they different in the finish? And which is more lightweight and more skin like? TIA
Hi is this similar to Prada foundation?

It's so frustrating when fragrance is added!! Totally understand that! xx

How does the Sublimage serum compares to the cream one in the jar ? Is it any better ?

How is it compared to the Chanel le teint ultrawear please?

They changed it again??
Haha, yes!! Chanel does this VERY often - same with Dior!

Thank you! xx
I prefer Lisa’s face to be brighter than her neck, as it is now with her makeup, because it feels natural to me.
