It is so beautiful!!! I couldn't stop staring at it. I would open it and close it again and again. It is truly a work of art. It is my first holiday face palette from Dior. I used to use Ultra Le Teint Velvet for many years then switched to Ultra Le Teint Ultrawear, which I love but I may be giving the Velvet another try with the new formulation. Great review ❤
@ I feel the Velvet was just a little drier on my skin than the Ultrawear. They are both beautiful foundations. I have quite a few of Chanel foundations and I always seem to reach for the Ultrawear for everyday use.
They are really pretty I like them both. I like a Light coverage. Being 63. I start with a brush. Then use fingers around nose and then a sponge. I have to push Ans dab product into skin. Aging changes the way you apply ❤❤❤great video

I used to only wear this foundation exactly for what you say, no need to powder and lasts all day. I have combo skin too. I just did not know they also had a range for golden undertones and when I found out was when they had stopped selling the old version. I am so happy it's come back! I saw a post on social media today and I ordered mine from the Chanel website in Portugal in the shade BD31. So they seem to have it in some European Chanel stores 🥰

You really look amazing in this video, Angela. I wish I could look that beautiful after working a full day! Nick is a very lucky young man to have you on his arm. I haven't tried that lipstick formula from Chanel. I think I was worried because the packaging looks very like the MAC Retro Matte lipsticks which is a formula that I truly hate. I am headed to Seattle for the holidays so I will be able to visit my favorite Chanel counter in the Downtown mall. The young woman who is the Chanel Ambassador at that counter always remembers me even though I can only get there in person a couple of times a year. I find the Chanel counter to be one of the nicest counters to shop at. They understand when I tell them that I am just looking around and the don't continue bothering me. When I am ready to swatch or purchase then they are right there. There are some counters that are just so poorly run or the assistants are so rude that I just avoid them which is sad as they often have products I would like to try. I generally just purchase from those counters on-line. The absolute worst at the downtown mall is the Guerlain counter. My daughter won't even walk by it, LOL! Anyway, all that to say that I want to try that lipstick so keeping my fingers crossed they still have it in stock when I get there next week. Have a wonderful rest of your week, Angela. Deborah

When I was working this was not a popular product. Most of our customers were mature and it was a bit drying. So they preferred the Ultra Le Teint. For Combination skins and younger customers it was better but they tended to choose alternatives, because many like a fuller coverage look.. This version seems a much better product but if you want a medium coverage you would need to use more product. The blurring effect is so effective it would be a shame to not take advantage, no need to have a heavier look. .The lipstick to me is a classic Chanel red look. I love it.
Curious to hear your thoughts. My fav Chanel is the Sublimage l'essence de teint serum foundation. It is very comfortable and gives a very natural finish. I have normal to dry skin. But I'd love a foundation with a bit more coverage and I'm interested in blurring finish 😊I received my Dior holiday Couture face palette today!! I couldn't use everything yet but I did use the more nude blush and the nude lip shade. The blush really is beautiful. It has a pretty pink tone on my skin and seems quite neutral. Tomorrow I will do a full look!
Hi lovely, Chanel's sublimage L'essence serum foundation is really comfortable and moisturizing. It's very diffferent from Ultra Le teint velvet. If you are not used to matte foundations, you might not like this one especially considering that you have normal to dry skin. So I would suggest trying it in store first or it will be a good choice for the summer months. Dior's clutch palette is truly gorgeous! I'm sure you will create beautiful looks with it. ❤

Hi Elis, Chanel haven't changed the fragrance in their foundations. It has been the same for many years so if you could tolerate their fragranced foundations a few years ago, then you shouldn't have problems with this one too. The tricky part is that everyone has a different perception about fragrances.. for me: I would describe it as a light and fresh floral scent but other people describe Chanel's foundations as unbearable floral perfume. I have been using Chanel's foundations for 10 years now and the scent hasn't changed. It also depends on which foundation you tried. Vitalumiere Aqua, Vitalumiere, Ultra le teint, Les beiges and the one that I reviewed all have the same amount of fragrance: light and fresh floral. N 1 de Chanel foundation has much lighter barely detectable floral scent. Les beiges water fresh tint has fragrance listed in the ingredients but I can't detect it no matter how hard I try so it's basically undetectable for me (many people agree about that too). So it depends on which Chanel foundations you have tried. I hope this helps.

Hello, My correct shade is B10. In the past few years Chanel had a very limited shade range from this foundation. The palest shade was B20. I purchased it hoping that I will work for me in the summer months but it was too dark even in the summer. I hope this helps. ☺

Good. If I like this one, I am throwing out all my other Chanel foundations. The Ultra Le Teint, Water Fresh, and the Healthy Glow are all greasy as heck on me!
This one is definitely matte, it will dry down unlike Les beiges. Les beiges is more glowy/dewy. Velvet definitely blurs more, if you have dry skin it will be quite matte. I have oily skin so I do get dewy by the end of the day but I really don’t mind because it’s not excessive and I enjoy it.
I am so upset now! Just bought the frosted bottle ultra le teint a week ago after not finding the velvet version anywhere :( and I don’t like it at all…. should have checked the Chanel official site one last time before ordering elsewhere… (Hoping they will bring back vitalumiere aqua with other shades too. ) Too bad they didn’t include the BO shades in this new version. I guess it’ll only be for the les beiges line.
I personally think Chanel is in ruins with foundations. They’re horrid for dry skin. Les beiges is a desert. So are the water tints. No1 is OK but bad for winter. They discontinued the BB tint which was awesome. I miss vitalumiere and pro lumiere.
