Next time you cut a dowel, wrap tape around it so it doesn't splinter as your cutting thru the last little bit .... The tape will stop it from splintering off like that - or well it does most of the time anyways haha...

This is great. I read some comments on the last video of the dowel going through perpendicular to the longer dowel to join it. And he was recommended to do this. Anyone got any better ideas or tips? Personally I’m keen to keep watching this breddas progression
A box joint then the dowel (perpendicular?) to the joint should hold it in place. (Theoretically) I don’t have woodworking tools so I can’t confirm. A dovetail would be the better choice as it won’t need the dowel😅
Why not use something a little bit thicker or add something thin on the top of the wood? Lines would converge (or at least be much closer) so you don't have to eyeball the last part and end up off center like you did.
My man makes a piece of lumber with a weak spot. Why not get a regular 2x4 so you can properly use it. Saves a lot of time and prevents any future damage. There you go.
All that and he still drilled it off-center!

Tip: dont use so much pencil, or clean it off after drilling. The glue doesnt stick well with the graphite there.
