Thanks man ive wanted to do this for years
Great work!!
it not work
yo this is awesome!
Thanks, It was fun to figure out but I wanted to save everyone else the hassle of discovery
Nice video
Great !
do you know how to do this with Blender 3.2
For me the zip file will not appear in preferences, what to do?
I installed the plugin for bl but when I import a gcode nothing is imported. It creates an empty layer with the filename of the gcode but no other layer that contains a mesh.
Is this working in Blender 4.0 though?..I'm having the same issue.
@@lordtwiznessnot working for me either.
How to install TQGM via pip ....?
I was tasked with this exact project, I feel theres not much I can add to it though to make it my own... I obviously will give credit to the original author, but I need to add something to the script to make some type of change. Was thinking I could do the grouping and the modifiers in the script such that it can just be ran directly after loading
This version of the script for some reason makes the model slightly to tall. Adding the modifiers and making sure the dimensions are correct would be a big plus.
I keep getting, "ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'tqdm'
Any idea?
i just opened a new file with the add on enabled and I could install them through the preferences page
I feel like I'm going crazy. I can't get more than one layer to import on version 2.93.5. It get a Python: Trackback error. Anyone have suggestions on how to fix that?
I would try to install a fresh copy of 2.8 and install it there. It may be Python plug in conflict. If it works in 2.8 then just save your .blend files and open it back up in 2.93 to continue.
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "C:\Users\Mauznemo\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.83\scripts\addons\import-G-code-master\processor.py", line 37, in execute
from tqdm import tqdm
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'tqdm'

in 3.0 and 2.83 help
I tried reinstalling when that happened to me. I also did mine in 2.93 I think
Did you manage to get this to work? Having the exact same issue despite trying to reinstall the plugin
@@jeza1995 did you ever figue a way?
@@mateiradu5109 nope, I gave up...
It seems that all the toolpaths generate geometry in my case, including travel moves, not just extrusion moves. So my models look like spiderwebs.
Did you find the solution to this?
i cant find anywhere in the documentation, that tells you how to add the regex and tqrd modules. GG
Dont work anymore :(
somebody help me!!!!
hello
sadly not helpful. once you got blender open you did things so fast and didnt say where anything you were opening was that being new to blender i was lost. also the gcode reader just wont install it seems.
I am a new user of Blender and I am very interested in learning how to import Gcode into Blender. I have searched online for tutorials and found a video on this link: th-cam.com/video/EKWDZMEaKBg/w-d-xo.html. However, after following the video, Blender gave an error message about missing libraries "tqdm" and "regex".
Therefore, I kindly ask for the help of the Blender community in either installing the Gcode import plugin or providing me with a detailed guide on how to do so. I truly appreciate the support of the community.
Thank you.
I have the same issue too.. can u show the reddit or cumminuty page (link) so I can get a more up-to-date version or something?
@@victorvVerce thank you! can you help me
