Aleksa is my favorite Serbian player. I like his passion from this season Partizan's games. And he brought it to the new level with Srbija. Good luck in the final. Serbia has never been a team based on one or two superstars. They have always been a great team, with great teamwork. Their tradition is like in Lithuania, great understanding of the game and great basketball IQ.
For casual fans, Guduric Dobric Milutinov etc. are just some unknown names, but to those who watch basketball regularly know that neither one of them is just some guy. They are seasoned professionals playing at the highest level in Europe and carrying their teams on their shoulders. I definitely agree it is a about teamwork, but these guys are serious talents for this exact style of basketball 👍
Partizan without Avramović had 4-9 in the Euroleague. After he recovered, team had 16-5. He again injured his hand after few minutes in G3 series vs Real Madrid. Partizan lost G5 because they didn't have Avramović to pressure the players with the ball and Chacho Rodriguez couldn't get into the paint so easily and break through the backcourt in key moments without any pressure.

After that, he went to Varese, then to Unicaja, where he didn't do well, then in the post-covid season he played for Estudiantes, which was relegated at the end of the season, but Avramović was the 2nd best scorer in the ACB. Then Željko Obradović returns to Partizan and Avramović is one of the first players to be signed. At first he seemed a little raw and impatient, but he always played with incredible energy. A true competitor, who wants to beat the best and is not afraid to do so.

Shame that he didnt succed in Serbia national team but I assume there was problems with managing egos. Would love to see him maybe do a comeback in national team. Someone needs to do the running and he is the perfect guy for the task. I gotta wonder what this team would look like if Jokic played and some other NBA players that couldnt make it. Olympic games will be a treat to watch!

Svetislav Pešić is the name of THE MAN. He lead Jugoslavia to gold in 2002 championship in Indianapolis where we beat USA in quarterfinals and put them out of medals at home soil. Before that, gold in European championship 2001 in Turkey. He just knows his business and is the best man at it!

Brown had a choice to stay and play another season for ~2mil or go and cash in on a title, there was nothing more Denver could have offered him due to NBA monetary regulations. really sad, as he was one big piece for that ring for the Nuggets.

Ne zaboravite da je i Jokic deo ovih pobeda. Da nije bilo njega, verovatno ne bi smo pobedili Grcku u Beogradu i kvalifikovali se za ovo prvenstvo. Setite se i Smailagica, Jaramaza, Trifunovica, Radanova, Kuridze, Luke Mitrovica, Ristica. Mislim da je i Djurisic igrao u jednoj utakmici. Micic, Kalinic, Lucic naravno.

My casual opinion on it the game was Serbia had a counter to every scheme Cnada thrown against them, off ball movement and general execution was really really good. I really liked that they spread to the entire half court leaving the paint very vacant which not only makes opening when they drive to the basket but also another opening when the defence close out. I'm a casual though so I maybe just seeing things lol😅
You are pretty much right.. that's mostly cause Pesic read Fernandez like a book, in particular for the paint game. Pesic always changed between Milutinov and Petrusev at the right time when Fernandez also changed his centres...
No matter they won the whole thing or not,they are champions to me. Germans are a litle biger in size but dont know are they more skillfull than Serbian players in general. If Serbia plays more team basketball and not so much iso-ball than they are favorits for gold medal. Remains to be seen. Eather way, good luck Serbia. I do not know from where comes idea about Serbia= Bogdanovic. Come on guys?. Milutinov-Olympiacos, Petrušev(he will bi probably the best center from Europe in close future), Jović-Miami, also Guduric-Fener, Avramovic, Davidovac- big worker,... Our main advantage is that our oponent couch doesnt know who will step up and make 20+ points in the game. Everyone can do that in our team. Bogdanovic is just capiten and first of them.

Their game was absolutely dominant in every way, but the bad 10 minutes came at a very inopportune time. This year they also failed once, again against Italy, but at a much better time. My casual opinion on it the game was Serbia had a counter to every scheme Cnada thrown against them, off ball movement and general execution was really really good. I really liked that they spread to the entire half court leaving the paint very vacant which not only makes opening when they drive to the basket but also another opening when the defence close out. I'm a casual though so I maybe just seeing things lol😅
You are pretty much right.. that's mostly cause Pesic read Fernandez like a book, in particular for the paint game. Pesic always changed between Milutinov and Petrusev at the right time when Fernandez also changed his centres...
