Stryper - Reason For The Season (Lancaster, PA, 1985-11-16) (Aud Shot) Michael Sweet - Guitar, Vocals Robert Sweet - Drums Oz Fox - Guitar Tim Gains - Bass
WOW!!!! This was the year I took a Sabbatical at 20 yrs to seek God as I was getting back to Him. I discovered Stryper this same year. I lived in West Chester and heard them on WJTL in Lancaster on a Friday night (I think) which showcased music that was "alternative" (Rock/Metal/Rap, etc.) to typical CCM fare. WHERE in Lancaster was this? YFC event?
This show was at J.P. McCaskey High School in the city of Lancaster. I’m not sure, but I think it was a WJTL production. Perhaps the station’s “Rock of Truth” show with Michael Joel and David Shea.
@@mdh1961AH!!! I remember how WJTL used to always talk about McCaskey High School events, so I probably was aware of this but for some reason wasn't able to make it. Thanks for responding! 👍🏻🤜🏼🤛🏼🌟
I was at this show in Lancaster too. This was actually at my old high school. I was there with a few of my band mates from Club J. Soon after this, our drummer Dave joined Messiah Prophet as Dave Thunder.
Love you. ❤Michael ....oz ....and the boys

I have been watching wasp and Stryper all day! It feels like I am in Los Angeles, California, if you get my drift! The greatest rock scene ever!

Same here. In fact I wore this song out on my cassette when I was a wee lad.
So glad they are from my hometown of Orange County, California I was born there
This is awesome!! God take me back some years !!!! :-(
I saw them twice in the 80’s at benson high school auditorium and every time they would hit that 3 part harmony on the chorus in knock me out.
Beautiful work as always Robert.
Sweet Rock! Heck yeah!!
I LOVE - STRYPER. 👍

I was at the Trenton concert with my youth group ! War Memorial was perfect venue for Yellow and Black Attack :)
Thanks for sharing! I was at this show. And the previous show in Trenton, where I did security for the band. Great guys!
What venue was this?
It was at McCaskey High School auditorium.
Messiah Prophet opened for them at this particular concert, if that helps.

I'm not sure, but I think I was at this show. We saw them at McCaskey High School in the mid-80s but I'm not sure if they played there more than once.
I was at this concert. Messiah Prophet Band opened for them. Was there any video of them (Messiah Prophet)?
Dan Replogle not from this show, but..

Messiah Prophet opened for Stryper? I didn't know. Their best song is Master Of The Metal
The lead singer of messiah prophet just passed away

Lucky you
wow !!
I. Was. At. The. Show
Robert Sweet the drummer is always turned to the RIGHT, as is the rest of the band, but in the opposite of a physical way...110% spirit.
Very ODD seeing camera view of what I use to dream about at the drum thrown
Dec. 2018?
Jun 2019
By the way I have a couple atheist friends who absolutely love this song more than Rudolph or Frosty. What Stryper was all about....the lost.
U can not be holiday when HE, IT is with u or archivists wouldn't be murdered
AND ur existence O.K.
