As Time Goes By is on PBS every weekend, two episodes and the fact that I seen every episode several times and have all the DVDs seems to mean that that's my favorite show to watch. I also have seen a lot of her other work.

I don't usually love or adore ACTORS BUT I love Dame Judy Dench. I've bought her books. I buy her videos. My favorite is AS TIME GOES BY.I watch the series once Year. You can really see who she is in this. I'd love to meet her but what would I say? Actually, the British actors get ruined when they come here. Michael cain had the disastrous Blame it on Rio! More like blame it on Hollywood! The American actors, some of them, are superb, but they do not have the Shakespearean background. As an American, I have always felt that they act on a higher plateau. Lawrence Olivier is the benchmark for excellence. He is acknowledged as the number one in the industry. I saw his Hamlet! Not only the actors and actresses (to stay correct) are generally better, but also their movies. Their dramas have a different feeling. They are more in touch with our inner selves and emotions. It is very hard to describe. Some Americans who have had some background on stage like Broadway are also great. James Mason was a superb actor who never won Oscar! I salute the British for giving us some of the finest performances on stage, big screen, and TV.
Its to bad that we as Americans don't get to see their work when they start as young actors in Britain. I have followed Jeremy Brett .the amazing work they have behind them. I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED JUDY DENCH.

The simplicity of her dear husband - Michael William’s grave in Charlecote churchyard so impresses me- a simple plaque under a little tree reading just ‘ Michael Williams Actor ‘ and the dates of his birth and death. She and his ‘ working class ‘ Northern catholic parents lived together for many years in a little family ‘ commune ‘ at Charlecote when she and Michael were younger, their daughter was tiny and they were both working at the RSC. So there Michael is buried with his catholic parents in an Anglican churchyard and Judi is a Quaker ! It says a lot for her ( and his ) liberality of spirit, which I think literally speaks volumes and may explain her ( and his) success as actors.
Beautiful woman! Her Love for trees is awesome. I love going to Butchart Gardens, BC Canada and looking at ALL the trees and yes the flowers. Love living on ancouver Island.

Since she doesn’t drive, I suspect she ‘likely hires a car’ when needing transport, if transport is not provided by the theater or studio. You numbers are gross box office numbers, not her personal earnings. I don’t know how difficult it is to access financial data on UK citizens but research on videos of this ilk is appropriate. Just a suggestion. I don’t know you OR Dame Judy Dench. But I did know the numbers were illogical and I heard the automobile disclaimer of ‘likely owns’.
