Make your own, people. Buy a pack of chicken tenders $5 and change here in Texas grocery stores. Throw them in a bowl with a little seasoning. Mix. Throw in some flour. Enough to cover tenders and a bit extra. Throw more seasoning on top of flour. Mix everything well until tenders covered. Heat up some oil and drop them bad boys in. Cook till golden brown. Take out and put on a plate with paper towels. Fries. Potatoes. Cheap as hell. Cut potatoes in desired fry shape. Skinny, thick, skin off, skin on. Whatever. Soak fries in bowl of water after cutting. Soak for an hour. The starch will come out of the fries so they wont be soggy. Rinse fries then drain water. It also helps to dry fries with a paper towel or towel but it isn't required. Just makes them a bit more crispier. Then just heat up oil and cook until golden brown. Put some seasoning on fries right when you take them out or just salt. Easy. Way cheaper and makes a lot more. I suck at cooking but anybody can follow this.
You could even get really good at it, the same way that Popeyes does and freeze them ready to go all breaded, then throw in the fryer and have food faster than if you were waiting in line.

better off making a buttermilk marinade with smoked paprika and garlic, salt and pepper and a little cayenne. Mix flour, cornstarch, and a little baking powder. Season with garlic onion coriander smoked paprika salt pepper thyme and msg, sprinkle some of the marinade into the flour to create little crispy pieces, then take the chicken from the marinade and coat it in the flour. That buttermilk will make the chicken more tender plus the flour will stick very well to it. Just coating with flour with no adhesive will be a disappointment
@@Hathnotseen That's way too much and goes off track of what my comment was originally and obviously made to do, which was a recipe to cook something extremely easy to make. And no, just using flour is not disappointing. You'll get a crispy outside like you would do any other way. More complex ways like your recipe is just for the overrated crunch and extra flair to the flavor. Trust me, I've tried all of them. It's just more work for basically prettier tenders. Less is more.

Sadly if the prices say for instance double and ppl go half as much as they used to the place still gets the same amount of money and serves less food for it. So enough ppl would have to boycott it entirely to see any kind of change. And sadly it was increased to support a higher minimum wag for their employees during the trucker strike, so minimum wage won't go down. Even stuff in grocery stores went up and stayed there, because they realized ppl would pay that price for it. It's all fueled by greed and it would be nice to see things drop back down to what they were, but reality is they probably won't. Alot of places for various companies food related have shutdown places everywhere, so it's possible for a change if ppl stop going to places once the price gets ridiculous, which we are at that point now so yea.
I definitely agree that prices for fast food have risen too high. I hope it pushes people to eat at home and cook. It will be a healthier world if that happened.

You could even get really good at it, the same way that Popeyes does and freeze them ready to go all breaded, then throw in the fryer and have food faster than if you were waiting in line.
cant do that in the car
We live in an age where people buy peanut butter and jelly premixed lol. The second you start talking about cooking for yourself everybody’s eyes glaze over
better off making a buttermilk marinade with smoked paprika and garlic, salt and pepper and a little cayenne.
@@ps3beatswii the birthday is july 2nd (and that's the date many of the founding fathers, including john adams, wanted to be the holiday)
july 2nd was when they actually voted for independence, july 4th was just the date they finalized and approved the wording for the public declaration
celebrating july 4th as the birthday is like celebrating the date your birth certificate was signed as your birthday :P
Popeyes recipes 9/10
Popeyes employees 3/10
Popeyes prices 3/10
9/10 is kinda crazy they put spicy seasoning on it and fried it
@@ssbVanilla yes, that's what fried chicken is
@@ssbVanilla For fast food?
I'm not sure I could name a place with better recipes & more potential
Their food, when made properly, is much better than Chick-fil-A, In-N-Out, McDonald's, etc.
Dear TH-cam employee stalker,
I would love to know what about my deleted comment was inappropriate.
Thanks, miguelito2361
YES!!!@@ssbVanilla
When the company pushes all the costs on the customer in order to maintain a very luxurious lifestyle. CEO pay cuts nowhere in site. CEO bonuses sky high.
Popeyes hasn’t made one good thing since the chicken sandwich craze
Their sandwich isn't even top 5
Their chicken sandwich SUCKED!!!
And it was nothing special.
It served as an effective golden apple of discord though.
You can tell what type of neiborhood your in with the chicken joints. chickfila good area kfc decent area popeyes not that great area then browns chicken, which i like, is in the bad part of town 😂
So...$1.33 per nugget. This is indeed outrageous. Not a chance those tiny wing nuggets are good enough to justify that.
This is ridiculous, fast food is supposed to be for the common consumer, and the common consumer is not going to pay 50 dollars for fast food wings.
The thing is, they actually will, and do.
Chinese food, man. There's Chinese places everywhere, they're cheap, and they'll regularly give you enough food to feed multiple people. They've got higher quality food because they're all small businesses that can't coast on brand recognition, but the American Chinese menu is so standardized that it's fast-food-level reliable and I've never had to wait more than 10-15 minutes for the food. Ever since I started eating at Chinese places I've never gone back to fast food.
@@drpibisback7680idk man, Chinese food is sketch af
Appreciate you taking fast food to task for sheer greed they're displaying. Honest and accurate reviews.
It's funny cause as the prices go up they take away the cheap options they had only to now bring similar options back because no one is going there
I once ordered a dark-only, chicken-only 8-piece from Popeyes. Again: Chicken-only. No sides, no drink. Cost me nearly $30.00. I will never eat at Popeyes again until the prices come down, and I don't care if that means never eating there again in my life. This is completely insane. You have no self-respect if you pay that amount for fried chicken, no matter how good. Boycott this crap.
What is also wild is that they were already overpriced 10 years ago compared to other fast food restaurants... so it's only gotten much worse since! They won't see a penny from me at these prices
What kind of monster orders dark-only wings? Thats insane to me.
KFC just as bad maybe worse.
@@brelaxed13He didn't say wings. Dark only has drumsticks, thighs, wings. Last I was at KFC I ordered 12pc dark only and it cost $32. That's insane. By the way dark meat tends to be more moist.
That’s weird
I got a family combo for 30 dollars with 12 chicken strips
A side of mashed potatoes
A side of macaroni
A side of beans and rice
4 biscuits
And 2 large drinks
best litmus for the state of the union is this mans running level of contempt
Then this is a "lost the mandate of heaven" level of upset
50Bucks!!!? I thought fast food here in the UK had gotten expensive! 😮
They're not all $50. But many are creating more and more expensive items so it could add up pretty fast.
Glad I bought that whole chicken yesterday to put in my crock pot tomorrow. It cost less than six wings, and I can guarantee the flavor.
When a man that does food reviews for a living is fed up, something's terribly wrong! 😞
500 years from now historians will be going through your content to get an understanding of what life was like in America in the early 21st century. And rightly so. You speak for our people.
You know they’re overcharging when the packaging gets increasingly large and elaborate but the portions remain the same (or smaller)
