How rare that the developers programmed the ai's last stage is to fight like a knight jousting to match the games theme. Thats what made games like this really good
That's the beauty of it. The game is very simple and easy to learn but it makes you really FEEL like you're a fighter pilot. I call that excellent game design.

Strange... I remember that scene coming right after my last hit, which by coincidence ,was exactly as the cutscene shows. I turned for one side and pixy to the other (or just kept his direction) and while I pulled the elevators from my plane, my missles gone right into his face.
By canon, you're both flying the same planes. That's why your eagle has the blue version of Pixy's livery, but with both wings painted. You can see it in the trailer.
You know, this is the first time I've seen anyone actually flying Cipher's canonical mount against Pixy's Morgan on YT; usually the battle is either a mirror match, or they're going to bragging rights by flying some aircraft not specced for A2A.
Canonically, Cypher starts with the blue Eagle, but I think it would make sense to assume that he'd have upgraded his plane by the final mission, so while there's a certain level of dramatic tone for fighting Pixy with your original Eagle, Cypher has probably brought something a bit more advanced to Avalon. I imagine he'd have upgraded some time between dealing with the Belkan radicals in Final Overture and the appearance of World With No Boundaries.
Honestly I feel blessed on NOT missing this series. This battle remain one of my All time favorite boss fights of all time. The song alone was just worth the whole experience. Masterpiece.
The cool thing that i remember doing in this mission, when Pixy switches to the burst missiles, if you follow him closely enough, you can completely avoid the blast.

I thought the Falken could also be unlocked by having 'S' en every mission (and every ace style) in Ace difficulty. And the Wyvern could be as well. I do remember having played it before owning an AC5 copy. Of the modern (completely dead flight physics) Ace Combats, Zero was the one I found most fun to play.
The best thing about computer simulations is recreating famous battles or impossible encounters. 1 Eagle vrs 10 Fishbeds? 2 Tomcats vrs 100 Mitsubishi Zeros? An F-15 vrs a dragon? Simulations let you do it all and no one gets hurt. Wanna drink and fly an F-16? Hey no one gets hurt. Throw the bottle out the open canopy as you buzz the tower. If you wish to read up on aviation stuff these are my 3 favorite books: - Her Majesty's Top Gun by Sharkey Ward - When Thunder Rolled by Ed Rasimus - Great Fighter Jets of the Galaxy 1 by Tim Gibson
I know this is a 4 year old game but i want to say something.... I liked pixy my companion i was always there to help him and he was always there to help me i loved that guy but when he betrayed me i almost cried didnt end.the game.so i wont kill him bb pixy farewell
I fucking hate this mission!! I never defeated this guy. His craft does impossible maneuvers. It's like sometimes he flies with the craft standing. Sometimes flying reverse. I try to engage from intakes but this bastard rapidly changes craft direction. I feel to aiming a flyer! The game is amazing, but this final mission is stupid the way dogfight with this guy!!
i know an ace combat-or if thats a word sucks through one of the following signs: (they use camera lock by holding down triangle button) (they cant live without special weapons) (they use other modes than first person which means they dont give a fck angle degree ,speed and all things that matters in flight).
to be fair I like 3rd person as the plane animations are often very detailed ,bot with an FPV screen I´d go cockpit view to have as much immersion as possible
I mean on ace pixy can be an ass if you use just standard MSSLs. Saying someone is bad for using half of his damned weapons is just being incredibly elitist.

Some people even think it pretends to be a flight simulator game, lol.

I used a Su-37 in the markings of Yellow 13 against Pixy's plane.

At this point the game is thirteen years old, not four.
The only way to really do this mission is use the f15 cipher skin.
