I don't find any pleasure in your pain and I am glad you're ok and recovering. I do wish more content creators would highlight the crashes to really drive home the point of having proper safety gear when you ride. I had a really nasty crash on something much slower than a Sur Ron and learned a valuable lesson. Didn't break anything but I'm still recovering from that a year and a half later. Never getting on a PEV without proper gear again.

17 year old girl ran over me on my Sur Ron on the Highway. Broke 6 bones in my wrist/arm, knee, and mouth/teeth. 2 years later and a lot of complaining, I'm near 100%, plus I used the insurance money to buy another Sur Ron and rebuilt the old one (had to switch to thumb throttle)! Bodies are meant to heal.

you have to explain. how you got insurance money after crashing with a non road legal bike? can you insure a sur Ron without motorcycle license and having it registered with DOT compliant blinkers, lights, mirrors, brake & tires ?
also for highway you need proof that it's going 50+mph (at least in Maryland)

@@erikjonromnes I thought riding a non road legal bike/no motorcycle license/no insurance would put you automatically at fault. hopefully not 100% at fault if you didn't do any unlawful maneuver. the weird thing is I know someone who used to be half paralyzed and in a wheelchair, got ran over on a pedestrian crossing by a SUV who ran a red light, he had high profile job and good health insurance but because of his pre-existing condition had some limitations on his health insurance. he ended up fully paralysed, and lost a lot of money because of how expensive were the treatments, and loss of income..I don't think the driver was uninsured I always thought being permanently invalidated by a traffic accident with 0% fault in the US would get you instantly rich

Dude! Glad you are ok! Been following your vids for awhile. Great stuff! I have a few e-bikes, the only bike I have wiped out twice on a Super 73 S2 - when I first got it going around a turn just went down maybe because tires were new? Road rash on arms and legs. Then a year later shredding 30mph on a trail hit a very small bump and got thrown off the bike and broke 4 ribs! The worst pain I ever felt, should have recovered for 2 months but as a freelancer had to get back to work in 2 weeks it was torture. and they can't treat broken ribs you just have to not move till they heal!! You breathe it hurts! I would have traded it for a cast any day. The more I watch bike videos the more everyone has a wipeout story! But I still ride whenever I can ! Be safe keep on keepin on!

I was riding my Sur-Ron and a on coming car crossed over into my lane head on. I turned into the curb to avoid collision at over 30mph and hit the grass hard.
It felt like a minute before I could take a breath because it nocked the wind out me like I never felt before.
Thank god some people stopped to render aid and loaded the bike into a pickup and drove me home.
I felt a burning sensation on my right side and had to go to the ER after an hour or so of the pain setting in.
Broke my right collar bone, ribs, torn pec and torn back muscle. Had to sleep in a lift chair for almost a month.
It has been 3 months and still have some issues with working out chest and shoulders and sleeping on my right side do to the collar bone.
I have not rode the Sur-Ron since due to not trusting other drivers to pay attention.

The pain was incredible and I couldn’t do anything with it. To my mistake, I never went to see anyone about it, and so I just let my entire arm stay limp for about two weeks and used my left arm for everything like you, and I’m right handed. Right at that time was track and field tryouts, and I was actually alright at the javelin in my school, but because of my injury I couldn’t try out or ride my dirtbike at home. I have had a 4 strokes Honda XR 80, a 2 strokes Kawasaki KX 80, a Honda CBR 600 F2 and a Suzuki SM 400 and the last one was the coolest to ride. A perfect mix of motocross and street bike and that's why the Sur Ron the way you've built it as a super moto (all black one) i am so in love with it. You are lucky to be young at the beginning of the electric bike era. She pretty much ruined her chances of riding with me again. Glad you are okay, and yeah, had quite a spill myself last year before i tried meeting up with you at Berkeley in the Lambo. I had gone off the concrete bike path and got too close to the lip w/o making it t real 45 degree entry back on. It was a 2-3in lip that caught my front tire and threw me onto the brushed concrete finished bike path. Totally gnarly and lots of blood, rode home and flew, since I did not know how bad my face was... I had fallen onto my face scratching almost the entire lens of my sunglasses, my nose, chin and forehead, along with down tho the bone on my ankle (under the bike) and my entire leg and hip wit a huge bruise.

It's incredibly hard to stop the natural reaction to catch our fall, especially on a bike. At 5weeks 6days I re-broke my arm/wrist and ended up starting all over.

Basically snapped my foot in half jumping waves on my Jet Ski last summer. First ride of the year on June 5th... got on the water at 9am and by 9:15 my foot was broken... thought it was just a sprain so we rode for like another 90 minutes. Had surgery a month later because the Ligaments still hadn't fused. Got 2 screws in my foot and Didnt ride again until September. A year later I'm still in PT but such is life. Sometimes you just gotta send it! YOLO lol

I hope you're doing good. I broke my hand not to long ago hitting a jump on my bike and I landed with my right hand facing downward and I broke my 1st 2nd and 3rd metacarpal. I fractured my 4th metacarpal. I had a bruised tendon in my middle finger, torn ligament in my pinkie and nerve damage because of it. I realized that before doing something just examine it before doing it. A few tips I've learned from it was clear ever thing out of the way before hitting a jump and make sure youre comfortable with it before doing it and make sure there is someone on standby.

I had a soccer 🥅 ⚽️ injury: I was defending and a guy kicked the ball hard towards the goal post and it rebounded onto my right thumb !! It broke instantly in one place and needed surgery to screw back the bone 🦴! Took a while to heal and for me to get back to playing soccer again! 💯👍

I also ride electric bikes, and one day I was riding my electric longboard evolution with street wheels, I was carving and hit a little rock in the middle of carving and sliped, I ended breaking my left arm near my wrist. fun times.

I broke the scaphoid/navicular bone in each wrist within a year of each other. I broke the right side first on my mountain bike and the left on a Razer scooter. They had to immobilize my thumb for those and that was rough! (Being right handed) But one crazy thing is my handwriting improved switching to my index and middle fingers… 🤷🏼‍♂️
Hope it heals up quick! Glad you can still ride!
