Why no one talks about the Crysis 2 remastered being trash compared to original one? Remastered one just better at textures, but the effects and other stuff is way better at original..

In regards to the original games (not the remastered ones), only the first game to me was SPECIAL. To me, CRYSIS 1 is a masterpiece in all departments and has aged pretty well; many actual games don't get to look as good as it, with 17 years old now (2024). Crysis 2 was OK, but nothing as outstanding as Crysis 1. The 3rd Crysis is just absolutely discardable, honestly. It plays well, but... it lacks the addiction and interest of the 1st one. That's why I still play Crysis 1 today (like I did back in 2007) and I still enjoy it A LOT! That's an absolute MASTERPIECE!
I was reading the comments and I think that the most nostalgic purists criticize very small things about the remaster, which do not affect the final result of the game in any way. I never liked the Transformers look of 2 and luckily they fixed it in 3 (respecting the color palette of Crysis 1 a little more). In this remaster the lighting is 100% better, more natural and they also updated the color palette of the textures to help with the photorealistic sensation. I got the remaster. PS: the water textures are the achilles heel in the remaster.

I don't know. There's a lot of better looking things in the first because of better color saturation, but there are moments in the remaster that look better.
For me the first original Crysis is better than the remake, but looking at this video I think the remastered version of the second game is better than the original one.
close up textures look better - but is it worth paying a new game price for a game you alredy owened as in my case ? I dont think so. Changes are not strong enough to make it worth.
