not only that, but they should be given AT LEAST 3 years in development. You can't make an AAA game in 1 year, in simply does not work. Because they have to make the whole games in a year, of course they skip the bugfixing and optimization steps, otherwise we would only have 4 gyms and a champion. with no story.
I already complained about S/V so much this past year and I've learned how to actually appreciate it. The textures on character models and the pokémon are CRISP, it's really nice. The battles are faster. The three stories (four if you count Area Zero shenanigans) are a breath of fresh air. Filling the pokédex feels much more organic and just like Elden Ring on subsequent playthroughs if you know where to go you can become powerful and just speedrun through the boring parts. I really hope they continue on this path to improve the game - especially how it runs. My main complaint now is the power creep, GF should re-balance all pokémon and its battle system, I'm kinda tired of the rock-paper-scissors where the pokémon gets one-shot as soon as it enters the field...and don't even get me started on the competitive scene.
Amazon‘s new studio should make a monster tamer game because they definitely have endless pockets and I looked at one of their new RPG‘s and It looks AMAZING And it’s reasonably priced Which was a huge shocker for me!
I think they simply don't care. The videogames are just a very small part of their Pokemon business, and even if they suck they still sell well. The real money is elsewhere, so the real effort goes elsewhere
I used to play through the older games (up to X and Y) at least 3 times. Once with each starter. Nowadays it’s almost impossible with how slow they are
I think part of the reason is that currently pokemon does not have a real competitor in the monster tamer market so the devs(or management) have no incentive to polish the game to become the best it can be because they know the game will sell anyway so they cut corners to either save time, money or both. So unless pkmn get a competitor that threaten its throne (or at the very least bottom line) we will not see much effort put into content or polishing it so we can get the graphics it deserves, avoid bugs and glitches, have satisfying post game content etc.
I agree endgame is absolute booty cheeks in these newer Pokémon games and locking Pokémon behind a pay wall doesn’t help them either. Well, it helps them not so much to consumer. 😂
@@M_CFV yeah the difference between newer Pokémon games and older ones are the old games had so much more to do with actual friends like you could literally play co-op and multiplayer activities in an abundance and the newer games the co-op feels so lackluster and why the hell did they take co-op away from battle tower? Sometimes these decisions just baffle me!
@M_CFV funny story, I actually went into ORAS without knowing that the Battle Frontier wasn't in the game. I wanted to "surprise" myself and see what a modern BF would look like, so i didn't look it up to avoid spoilers. Imagine my disappointment went I found that crappy statue of the Battle Tower. I legit saved the game, closed my DS, and played Zelda The Windwaker on an emulator. That was the moment when I began looking at the Pokemon series with a critical lens and the rest was history. Never again! 😂
If Gamefreak made the perfect Pokémon game, how are they supposed to follow it up? You have to make them imperfect so that way you can make them a little better the following game. it’s a business tactic and there’s really nothing we can do about it.
I think that line of thinking only works if we assume Gamefreak is uncreative. Making a perfect Pokemon game is impossible, because the formula has room to change in so many different directions; how can somebody decide when a genre is perfected? Gamefreak knows they can get away with a lack of polish so they ship games out early, but to say they're intentionally making their games worse to sell a better game later seems silly.
Sorry, i just can't with all of these comments, you all are missing the real problem, game freak is a very competent and handworking studio, because they have to for them to be pumping games out every fucking year you actual smooth brains, think of how much gamefreak has to do in 3 years next to Zelda developer, the comparison is unfair, gamefreak is not the problem it The Pokémon Company release schedule is, changing dev would not do any if they keep the same release schedule, people zelda breath of the wild had 5+ years to cook, Sword and shield had maybe 3 and having to share dev teams with spin offs. It just so sad to see these devs get hate when they just have to make the game with what they can do, and to make matter worse even tho you all complain you still buy it and pokemon all ways breaks numbers, for the love of god bdsp sold more than PLA and man other good switch games.
@BlitzGaming654 yeah, I mentioned in the video Gamefreak is rushed to release product by management. If given the proper time to cook, anything is possible
@VeteranXGaming yeah man thanks for trying to tell them, but it like they don't want to change there mind about this, I understand that gamefreak is not perfect and could do stuff way better but I can't over the look that these people are probably been over work and still getting drag in the mud for something that they can't change. Good video though
New gen games are being rushed, they have no quality, look at the last game with the issues it had, the idiots saying its was the console fault when its GF engine that is outdated, we need to start making real games with a damn story, exciting battles, with new systems that makes sense cause last one "a fucking hat" cmon,.
Scarlet and violet had no story? Also the hat stuff is mechanically a cool system (I like how you can change your Pokémon’s type) but I do agree most of the actual hats look weird.
@@THGMR-ox7sd Violet scarlet story is low quality, they could make an amazing game with a story to captivate you to continue playing yet they dont. The change of pokemon type idea is cool almost like Megas, but the hats was the most unoriginal and most uncreactive ideia ever, pokemon company has shown they are lacking idieas and creativity cause they only looking for the money and not the product we could seen the last game with alot of performance and graphical problems and wasnt console fault like majority of the morons state, it their engine that is heavily outdate for the switch.
Scarlet and Violet are like the pre-alpha build of what Sword and Shield should have been.
@floatsyourgoats6200 this might be the most accurate comment I've ever seen for a Pokemon game.
They should definitely let monolith soft (xenoblade) develop their next open world pokemon game

@johtojonny yessir! And same here bro, I hope things have been well for you 🙌
the last pokemon game that i loved was PLA, it was refreshing and super fun gameplay wise

I'll take it! I'm seriously baffled in why more companies aren't driving into the monster-tamer genre
@@VeteranXGaming yeah it’s called New World Aeternum. It looks like straight 🔥
Aside from performance, I didn’t encounter a single bug except the shadow glitching on the ground, the story, characters… are really great.
Only newer game I actually had some fun with was Arceus. After playing Scarlet/Violet though, I stopped hating on Sword/Shield so much, lol.
literally haven't played a mainline pokemon game since oras theres no point in it anymore

lemme sum it up. To ambitious and under powered consoles

Just let the fans make the games from now on. Their games are both of higher quality and actually enjoyable.

I love ORAS but getting rid of the battle frontier was a crime...especially after the DLC tease and it never happening
