Gary, I've watched many dozens of your videos. They are all great. You really get down to the information people need without all the "extra garbage!" Thank you so much.
We just went on a 7 day cruise to Mexico from October 26 to Nov. 2. 2019. And of course there was the Halloween party with most of the passengers participated, lots of fun. This ship is truly amazing, we had the premium balcony staterooms and it was very comfortable. The medallion class was great and very convenient to use. You can scan the medallion and find your roommates anywhere in the ship when you get separated. The staff is great but you can tell they are working too many hours, so please be nice to them. The food was great too. Overall all 9 of us in our group had a wonderful time! P. S. Love and watch your videos. This one I found after my trip though. You are right on with great info on this ship. Thanks!
Thank you for the useful information Gary. My wife and I have an upcoming cruise on the Royal Princess this September. We are looking forward to our 26 day adventure!
I was on the Regal 2 months ago and it's identical to the Royal Princess. Your review is helpful and concise: as always you are right on point. The boat felt tasteful, refined, sophisticated and not a party boat. It was romantic elegance - and I'd really recommend it for 30+ couples, groups of friends etc. We loved it. (Thank you so much for your videos - I watched a bunch before this (my first) cruise - transatlantic). The Royal will take on the west-coast (America) routes after a 15M refresh (new beds etc) - she will be visiting Alaska as of March '19 - I'm looking into it...
As always, great information well presented. I worked on original Royal Princess and it's nice to see that the replacement is a tasteful upgrade. Still love cruising and Princess line and your video makes me want to check Royal's itineraries for a holiday.
Wow very huge ship. Just a great review as im use to seeing. You really love your work. What wasn’t to view was the rooms. But a great review nonetheless. Thanks
We are taking this ship out of Sydney Australia next week. We are hoping the ship is still in good condition. You do a good job with these videos as you are obviously well informed and well travelled.
Your videos are incredibly well done and informative. We have sailed on many beautiful Princess ships and other cruise lines over the past few decades. Princess continues to be our favorite cruise line. We will be sailing the Royal ship for the first time early next year.
I really appreciate the detail that you put into your reviews. I feel that I've become a much more educated traveler due to your videos. Shout-out for your book, "Essential Cruise Tips." I've found it to be helpful.
Excellent overview of the ship! I'm approaching 60 and no longer interested in all those water slide/go kart/amusement park type activities. This ship sounds perfect for us. The other ship I'm checking out (for another cruise too?) is the Celebrity Edge!
I am 68 and am still very much interested in water slides, ice skating rinks, basketball courts etc. But then I am in shape and very athletic. 55 cruises done, 2 more to go this year and 1 so far for next year.
Just returned yesterday from a 7-day Mexican Riviera cruise on Royal Princess and it was a fantastic time. Gary your videos have been a godsend in researching as first-time cruisers! Already put a deposit on a future cruise with Princess so I guess we're hooked :)
Really enjoy your informative cruise videos. We will be taking the Royal Princess this September 2019 from Los Angeles to Alaska round trip two weeks. This will be our 7th cruise with Princess. We’ve been on other cruise lines over the years they were all nice but Princess is the one for us . We enjoy everything they have to offer 😎.
Thank you for making this video; is very accurate. I recently went on a cruise, for the first time in my life, and it was on the Royal Princess. As part of doing my research, I came across this video and your channel. Your tips have been very helpful. Princess Cruises is more my style; no-frills, but luxurious with plenty of activities. I'll definitely cruise again, and it will be with Princess Cruises.
Thank you for this video! Really looking forward to our cruise on Royal Princess. About the only criticism I would have for this video is that the pictures of the venues aboard flash a bit too rapidly at the beginning.
Your reviews are always so informative, thank you! I love princess and I can't wait to sail on the Royal or Regal soon. My last Princess was on the Star to Hawaii for 2 weeks in November 2017 - incredible!
Could use some bedroom suite upgrade's though to satisfy the passenger's taste to come back again and again, wall's are needed instead of curtain's because privacy is a must for certain people
Nice tour! We have cruised a lot . Will magnets work in the walls in the cabin? We have used them on other cruises, should we pack them to use to hang items ?
Thanks for sharing. I do have a quick question. My wife and I have gone on cruises with Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Norwegian and have enjoyed them all. I enjoy the various activities on board and the casual atmosphere. Would Princess be a good choice for us?
What are your thoughts about being on the Emerald deck , right above the lounge and dance floor? Our balcony room is E732 and I am a little nervous about the noise transfer from.below
Princess tends to be less loud and crazy but is a risk. I tend to avoid cabins like those. Maybe worth asking people on CruiseCritic Princess Cruise boards if anyone stayed in that cabin and if any issues?
You have to get the spa package in the sanctuary package if you want to enjoy your cruise they really make you feel like a third class passenger if you don't they won't even let you peek inside so that you can judge if you want to get it or not so before you even board the ship make sure that it's added to your cruise fare so you can simply enjoy it when you get on board rather than talking to a rude person that treats you like a third class citizen traveling on this particular ship gave me a glimpse of what it must have felt like to travel on the on the Titanic first second and third class and in my experience everyone got treated like third-class citizens even ones that had reservations for the sanctuary up until they were checked they were treated quite rudely I feel on a ship this big the sanctuary and the spa should automatically be included in your cruise fare and I don't mean massages of course they should be able to charge for massages I just mean being able to sit in the hot tub or in the sauna they charge you for and it's extremely small down there I just don't get it anyway always remember a cruise is what you make it but I definitely would not recommend royal princess
Although the general seating Buffet area is quite large the actual dining room is extremely small and cramped and found the staff in the dining room to be very rude however on the horizon Buffet they were very friendly and courteous the photography staff on the ship was horrible and quite frankly acted like paparazzi even when told to back off they would get in your face and we're very rude about leaving their equipment strong about the ship they would set up their camera equipment right in front of the elevators so when a crowd of people push to get off the elevator you were forced into a pole they made sure they got your money by taking your picture they acted like paparazzi I've never been on a ship were the crew was so rude and disrespectful at night when you had to cigarette on the back deck the only area on the whole ship where you can smoke was never cleaned up was always filthy dirty you had to go get your own drink there was no bar service back there and when they did set up a bar they sent it out of this little tiny portable bar cabinet that was always filthy the ship is beautiful on the outside and looks quite large but when you're inside you're quite can find and poor architectural design makes it hard to get around I find the other Princess cruise ships to be much better than this design even the Regal Princess which is the sister ship is slightly better because of the way they designed the back decks making a cool area in the back with Regal that you will not find on royal princess if princess ever reads this comment please consider redesigning your main dining room or just eliminated all together and make the buffet area a large dining room what's covered hallways to get to it so you don't have to be out in the rain before you eat your dinner
Gary, I've watched many dozens of your videos. They are all great. You really get down to the information people need without all the "extra garbage!" Thank you so much.
Thanks for your tour. I’ll be on the Royal in the fall to Hawaii & I now know what to expect.

Thanks! Appreciate you watching and taking time to leave your comment and experiences. Good to hear it made you want to consider trying the ship out!
I was on this hip sailing in the Baltics! a great ship with lots of things to enjoy!
We have done a cruise on this ship and the review is spot on. Thanks
Great to hear! Thanks for watching 😀
Another great video review. Just booked the Royal Princess for an Alaskan land and sea group tour for July!
Wow very huge ship. Just a great review as im use to seeing. You really love your work. What wasn’t to view was the rooms. But a great review nonetheless. Thanks
Thanks ! Glad you enjoyed. Unfortunately the ship was sailing full so couldn’t get to see the range of cabins

Taking the Royal Princess next June on a Glacier Bay itinerary!! We have only sailed NCL so really looking forward to a different experience.
Your reviews are great. Good information and you have pleasant voice.
I agree, good information..

On the Royal and Regal, is the main dining room open on embarkation day as we would prefer it to the buffet.

Hey Gary, very nice and concise tour.....Perfect, thank you! :-)
We took our anniversary cruise on Royal in Mediterranean, and loved it! Don’t know how we missed the International Cafe?!
Good to hear you had a great time! The International Cafe is great! Easily missed though as you did !
Nice tour! We have cruised a lot . Will magnets work in the walls in the cabin? We have used them on other cruises, should we pack them to use to hang items ?
Yes they will!
Thank you !
Thanks for sharing. I do have a quick question. My wife and I have gone on cruises with Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Norwegian and have enjoyed them all. I enjoy the various activities on board and the casual atmosphere. Would Princess be a good choice for us?
yes I am sure they would be!
Have you travelled on P&O? The newer ships are similar, a comparison would be interesting. Keep up the great work.
Yes I have. Britannia is similar in many ways as you say! Yes!
Thank you, that is much appreciated. We are looking at Princess for the Far East on their ships similar to Azura and Ventura.
Tips For Travellers I thought P & O was a bit more formal
Fabulous video! Just one question: what the hell is a bowling rink?
What are your thoughts about being on the Emerald deck , right above the lounge and dance floor? Our balcony room is E732 and I am a little nervous about the noise transfer from.below

Please stop telling everyone about the retreat pool! We thought it was OUR secret😂
How do you apply for a job if you want to work there
Yeah that's all nice if you can afford it
but what about all the pollution?
It's like a morarble table
Anyone else going this summer from Barcelona?
Does this ship have an arcade?
3560 passengers! Very romantic jogging track!!!
