Killing Floor 2: Hell on Earth Hellmark Station Solo Commando w/Patriarch

- Hello again everyone! I'm back and I return right where I left off a year ago. In this video, I took the liberty to add an intro into the video to capture the scope and magnitude of the map and it's detail. I play Commando using the Minigun that was added last year on the map Hellmark Station it was presented on. Needless to say, this run was quite difficult to accomplish. Largely due to the poorly optimized map layout and Minigun at my disposal. Despite the setbacks and a year of waiting I was able to pull through.
The Minigun:
The Minigun itself is an odd weapon to choose from. It fills a niche roll for commando sacrificing your utility over small bursts of DPS and efficient trash control. As strong as it may be in some areas, it severely punishes you for using it. It's long reload, barrel wind up speed, shooting and aiming penalties greatly hinder the weapons performance. However, given the right holdout spot, proper use of positioning, good use of zed tactics and some buffs in right areas, it can potentially keep pace other respected commando loadouts.
Hellmark Station:
I used the mod Controlled Difficulty on Hellmark Station. I felt the original map was too slow for gameplay and wouldn't be entertaining to watch. I set the boss as Patriarch to fit the map setting and I ramped up the zed spawning to 0, added more zeds and 1 faked player to add tension to the run. Sabre Interactive did a phenomenal job detailing the map to perfection. They introduced Hellish Rage that significantly buffs your damage with the cost of being able to heal momentarily. It remains as my favorite map in terms of detail for it's mere atmosphere alone.
However, Hellmark Station is one of the most chaotic maps I've played. Despite it's looks, it plays awful. It suffers from poor movement optimization. The map has tons of clutter that can block you from escaping. Zed spawning was poorly optimized giving you no breathing room with dead ends in the map that can be heavily misleading if not careful. Overall, the map is quite frustrating in the worst circumstances but it's exquisite detail, unique environment and the addition of the Hellish Rage buff can outweigh most of it's draw backs.
Most of the map's hindrances I've discussed are fixed in the Redux version created by Tamari. Which features reduced clutter, optimized spawns, tons of movement optimizations and new routes to kite in and a whole lot more. I recommend anyone play the Redux over the original any day.

@Rei No, he means the screaming, things blowing up, and beautiful expenditure of ammunition. It really is soothing. My favorite class by far for ASMR.
Before I started watching your videos, I could hardly play suicidal with other people, let alone by myself. After your videos, the amount of stuff I learned, I can easily play hell on earth by myself, and depending on map, suicidal with a whole team. Thanks!!
Basically it comes down to three things, Consistently watching your back, don’t rely on ADS, and don’t rely on sprinting

Sui is easy if your squad knows where to fight on a map and what to target. Nothing irks me more than people getting in my way as a gunslinger when I’m targeting a fleshpound lol

@@chinoyomaji288I’m a year late but last week this happened to me with the Abomination. I legit thought we were gonna get soft locked because he stretched and flopped for a solid 5 seconds and straight up flew into the sky before teleporting back down.
Seeing the recoil control on the FAL and Minigun made my jaw drop, I could only dream of being cracked like that

I was actually rewatching a lot of these videos recently because the gameplay of you playing is really entertaining (and is actually relaxing, I sometimes start to just fall asleep like I'm in a trance lol). I'm glad to see you're back because these are really fun to watch!

Yo! This new style of intro is great! The camera movements through the map, the glitch transitions, and then the "title" screen where he's reloading all his weapons. Great shit!

I found the minigun extremely effective in cramped stuffy maps, where there is no room for a kite and enemies comes at you as a solid wall. This is probably what the machine gun should have been originally. The KF2 community hates the positional style of play, and the minigun is hated undeservedly. All the more valuable are those commandos who have mastered it and know how to use it strengths. Love that new intro!
It's not just the 'community' that hates that style of play. Or more, I should specify, that hate from the community comes from the developers going OUT OF THEIR WAY to make it as nonviable as possible.
When I finally made the jump from KF1 to KF2 I was left so confused as to how nonsensical and ridiculous the spawn locations were, how much it, from a gameplay perspective, did not 'feel' like Killing Floor anymore. The developers actively designed both maps and mechanics so that you can no longer just lock down and hold a position without an absolutely coordinated and skilled team. It turned into a game about kiting, from the pubbie player's perspective.
A side note, I haven't played in a while, so anything that's changed anytime remotely recent is news to me. This means anything Saber interactive has done may not match up with what TWI was doing back when I still played.

Late to the party, but theres just something about (16:46); The way that Siren just gets yeeted out of the portal and crashing hard into a wall, followed shortly then by a dive-bombing attempt from an ass-naked alpha clot completely missing his target, (and gets himself shot at the back of the head for it 👌) *while in slow motion*, was just absolutely hysterical to me.
The pouring of shells, the low-pitch scream, the glitching crawler, and the chaos that ensues as all of this was happening is just the icing on the cake

Interesting choices. I like Bullpup+1 since it has better DPS than the AK for only 50 dosh more but and it's the same weight. That paired up with LMG and LLLRR perks is fun.
