Good morning Scott. Your cows are sure looking close. Shipped a load of heifers last week, the prices are phenomenal. Hopefully they stay that way through the next calf crop.

I was listening to a market report a few weeks back and it stated the heifer market is going to be high demand in 2024. Glad you did well on the sale.

@@sclivestock5943 the last bred cow sale at Clyde was pretty eye opening for prices too. Lol. Hard not to load up a couple hundred of these girls and let them go. 🤷‍♂️🤔🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. But I’ll wait till the market crashes again. Hahahaha

I just use loose trace mineral salt with selenium. I mix in some vitamin ADE with it in the winter. In the summer it’s mostly blocks that have trace mineral salt with selenium, with the odd block of cobalt salt.

After getting comments I plan on working something out for the gals to ensure they get good supplements.
      Have an awesome week Chad

I use 18% and mineralx, sweet pro tubs, i also like winsor salt products but any brand wil do. I like to have free choice mineral with rumensen out for cows and bulls. For my feeder calves i use a 16% and cattle candi sweet pro tubs plus the free choice salt and mineral with rumensen. sometimes i add a bit of iodine salt with the bag salt if i have any hoof rot happening.

Not sure what it is, but these girls do not like sweetpro. They would not touch it. The Bull loved it. More to come as I want to get a mix that works well for good health including foot rot. Without breaking the bank.
    Have an awesome day Albert.

With protein tubs for me it depends on the type of hay. If the hay doesn’t have a lot of food value then I go with a higher protein value. When you have cold weather and pregnant girls you want them to keep a good figure. Nothing worse than hangry women.

Good food for thought Brian. How true to not tick off a hangry woman 😂. Have a super day
